I have some anger issues. My dad gets angry and acts macho and crude and I literally want to punch him in the face with everything I got and break it. I have some anger problems so pray I learn to avoid them.

Start an anger journal.

It should look like this:

1)anger intensity 1 to 10
2) emotional pain intensity 1 to 10
3) physical signs....rapid heart rate, flushed face, tense shoulders or fists etc
4) Behavior signs...raised voice etc
5) describe the situation
6) did you take a time out? anger intensity above a 4 or 5...you should
7)Did you stuff it...escalate it or direct it?
8) Describe the feeling that you feel. If you don't know feelings google a list and familiarize yourself with them. Anger is not a feeling btw...it is a secondary emotion.
9)What were your barriers in thinking? If you don't know what they are you can google a list of them
10)What are the steps to responsible thinking? You can google a list of those also.
11)Do a physical activity like going for a walk or run or mowing the lawn or pulling weeds. Lol
12) Did you or did not use alcohol or drugs?
13) Has the situation occurred before? What tools did you use? What do you want to do differently?

Do three of those a week. no matter how minor your anger. Anger on a scale of 1 to 10 is 1 being minor frustration or irritation and 10 being full blown rage.

Some examples of painful feelings are: Disregarded, manipulated, unloved etc. Anger is a secondary emotion and is always preceded by a painful feeling. Learning to identify and process painful feelings is the key to putting out the fire of anger.

Good luck!

and remember.....it's not what a man prays for that he receives...but that what he justly earns. The law of reaping and sowing. "Act is the blossom of thought and joy and suffering are its fruits." Prayer is learning to think Gods thoughts after Him.

Lord we pray for umzza, and father, Let you please replace the anger with your love and understanding. Yes Lord please set free umzza from anger, and bless with your qualities, in Jesus gracious name, Amen!

Any chance you would explain THAT one a little more clearly? LOL :.... what he justly EARNS?"
