Can you please provide scripture that tell us the soils/spirits of those dead will be united with there bodies.
Good day buddyt,
Please see post #66.
When the righteous die, the spirit/soul departs from the body and goes to be in the presence of the Lord - Phil.1:21-24, 2 Cor.5:6-8
When the Lord appears to gather the church, he will bring with him the spirits/souls that have been in his presence and their bodies will be resurrect and their spirit/souls will be reunited with those resurrected bodies:
"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that
God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and
the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
After the resurrection takes place, then those who are still alive, their bodies will just be transformed into those immortal and glorified bodies. At the time of the resurrection, these bodies will be transformed taking on heavenly qualities, never to decay, no longer having the sinful nature and will be raised in power, that is, it will have heavenly abilities. This will take place for both the dead and the living in Christ at the time of the resurrection.
The word "anastasis" translated "resurrection" is defined as ana = up and histemi = to stand, properly "to stand up again bodily." Jesus is our example of what is going to take place for all believers who have died in him. When the Lord died, his spirit departed from his body and his body was in the tomb for 3 days. On the morning of the first day of the week, his spirit reentered his now glorified and immortal body, resurrecting. The word anastasis always has to do with the body standing up again.
