"Peter...like I said....we will never agree...different theologies, ideologies and beliefs...."

This is a closed book statement.
"we will never agree" is an eternal statement, by definition a closed book.
Yet in your world this isn't a eternal statement. It's an open book statement........

New American Standard Bible
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

DC can make an eternal statement, But the Lord Jesus Christ can't.

This is the heart/crux/center of your friction with us.

You have spent countless hours trying to wiggle around the fact that "will NEVER perish." is a closed book, eternal statement.

But DC saying "will NEVER agree" is a signed, sealed delivered eternal statement.

Never and always are often abusive words to have in ones vocabulary. At a minimum they make a person into a liar. I try not to use them at all.

This makes me laugh. Because they are both eternal statements.
Now I am pointing out dc by using the word never is a exaguration. He cannot actually
know all that I believe or think, and we will agree on much. It was showing someones
emotional meaning or rejection.

Now let me take the term "will never perish"

But God will never forget the needy; the hope of the afflicted will never perish.
Psalm 9:18

In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.
1 Peter 1:3-4

The thing here that will never perish is the inheritance. It is something given by
God that is eternal.

New birth is not promised to never perish, or the living hope we have.
For something to be living, alive, means it can also die.
And if it dies it is no more in the persons life.

So unfortunately your point seems to have nothing to it.

And why is it, when someone writes something with obvious intent, it is somehow
wrong to point out its intention. There is much more here emotionally at play than
respect for one another, or brothers and sisters in the Lord, rejoicing in the blessing
He has given us in Christ Jesus.

And why does this concern me? Because obviously you call me an enemy and not a
brother. This is what makes me wonder at the faith you claim to follow. It is so
divisive in the wrong way, to make me who should be your friend and spiritual
brother into something else. It makes me think there is something seriously wrong
here.

I think people read contributions too quickly.
Putting everything on the line, is an attitude of the heart, not bragging.
And I do it everyday, sharing with others, and here on cc.
It is a statement of fact.

Now dying for Christ is hopefully what we will all do, dying confessing Christ is our
Lord. And after the resurrection and pentecost, Peter did die for Christ.

And I think it is important for all of us to realise, when that insane nutcase puts a
gun to our heads and asks do we believe in Christ, no matter what you say, he will
kill you, so much better dying to Christs glory, than die denying His name.

And the choice we make in life are actually made in the here and now, its the fruit
you meet in the future. So when you make your mind now, you find out whether your
foundation is as secure as you would like it to be.
To quietly prepare your heart for future circumstances is one thing. To state what you will do in a pee your pants situation is another thing altogether. Karate students don't brag about how tough they are. They just throw thousands of punches that become automatic when the situation calls for it. Sure, God gives people strength in hard times...but a person needs to "throw thousands of punches" in preparation for it. As I've said before...men don't necessarily get what they pray for, they get what they justly earn. Sure, prayer is a part of our growth but perseverance and a strong faith don't come without a price...without effort and hard work. The gift of salvation is free but strength of character is on us to develop.

Very true. We had better be careful with "never" and "always" in this world.

It is why "Will NEVER perish" is so hard to believe. Only in Gods world is that statement true. So if we don't have the mind of Christ........we will fight/wiggle/ squirm out of that truth.

In our world it is an unbelievable statement. But in Gods world........it can be no other way.

I have tried it before. Can you have one coherent thought? I believe you can, but you just WON'T.

I stand corrected.. And must humbly admit, I am sure I have done that myself.. But I also hope and pray we repent of that very soon..

It is one thing to in anger of the moment say "you will never repent and understand what I am saying" or what God says" ,

But I pray as soon as we calm down we realize that that was our flesh talking, and not our spirit.. Repent, and pray that what we said is not true.

Let me put the whole of scripture here.

I could say you have passed from death to life, with an eternal reality in Christ.
Because Christ is manifested in you you are now perfect, sinless, without fault.

This is so because God does not compromise. He does not live with sin.
But if you do not follow Christ and His commands you do not know God and therefore
have not passed from death to life.

This is just a stupid discussion, taking words too far in the wrong contexts.
You are incapable of being honest about simple realities.

We are sinners, cleansed and often failing, needing to be disciplined, rebuked
taught and to grow in love and grace.

You want me to be an enemy, as if admiting anything I say is true is agreeing
with evil. God bless you, for you are training me in His grace and love, which
knows no limits. Jesus faced such as these.

"Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.”
45 One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also.”
46 Jesus replied, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
Luke 11:44-46

It is little wonder people find insult if we speak the words of Christ.

But this is where you have to speak the truth of everyone you face
and if you disagree to make it plain.

On this very subject, I have not seen any obvious truth or sin being
shown. So why emnity?

Man....I wasn't trying to correct you. I think you already knew that anyway in that you know the truth contained in the op. That ALL men are sinful and fall short of the glory of God.

People mean it when they are trying to tear down another person.
In arguments we often use the term undermining another, tearing down the argument.

When emotions are involved, because the positions are not neutral it is very hard to
be objective. When talking with muslims to listen to Christ can often mean death, very
real and very personal.

Some here come from a hard past, and so the argument is about a history of hurt
and torment, upon which there future psychological stability hangs.

Unfortunately this is then no longer a discussion from a pure heart, but something
else. Now I can speak easily because I do not have this history or torment.

Do I know whether you can find freedom from this? In faith I believe you can.

lol.I am sure you were not, and thank you,

however, much like the word. the truth corrects us. Because your woords were truth, .. and I have been guilty.

Amen, All men are sinful and guilty,, Sadly there are some in here who will disagree wiht that statement, I think that is wh0 this op is directed at..

Then according to scripture you don't have much to offer anyone aside from your personal righteousness. Seeins how you are pure and all that.

You fail to understand the obvious truth in Christ.
If you follow Christ you are pure and holy also.

And I do not have personal righteousness, I have just that which Christ has taught me.
And I am called to neither measure or consider it, just walk in it.

Now I cannot say what people can be freed from or not, just to say many have been
freed of their pasts, but first they need to recognise the reality of it, and the effect
it has had on them.

So often we think our reactions are just us, rather than a testimony to our past
and damage done.

One member on cc had a very disruptive past and found it impossible to focus on
anything or know what they really felt. They needed some proper counselling one
to one, which was not appropriate in this setting.

I have been set free from much in my past, but it is not because of any group or
people, but my walk with Christ. And He is the true healer.
