I have to apologise for something. The word is unbelief. In the note above
I used the term to mean not believing God intended us to walk in purity.
Now for some the term unbelief means by itself a sin that will send you to
hell, and means you are not saved. This is not what I meant.
The redefinition of faith and terms makes this a minefield.
I sincerely believe Christ calls us to walk in purity.
Think about this one sentence
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God
Matt 5:8
Now if we see God, in Christ then we have a pure heart.
Does this mean we have struggles with desires, lusts, dreams?
Yes. But it is the dwelling on them that creates the problem,
not the proposition.
When a sports car went by I used to go wow. But now I know its
limitations, design, good and bad points, so I understand what it is
and why I respond to it. And now I go mostly, what a waste on money.
Now it is not condemnation to say we can walk in the purity of the heart,
it is declaring Gods desire for us.
And it is not saying I or anyone is superior to others, it is saying here is
life, the life blood of Christ, so let us walk in it.
Now if some think I made this up, please read Jesus's words, Pauls words and
realise this is spiritual maturity. Saying I do good works like ... does not
make you right, or a way of saying one has more spiritual authority than
someone else who you do not know what they do or why.
Our guide is Gods word. To God we bow, His word expresses His heart.
Seek the heart of the Lord and just be honest with Him, He loves you.

But you can't take one phrase in the bible and make a doctrine out of it. It also says "blessed are the meek". What does meek mean to you? It certainly doesn't indicate bold conqueror. Lol. Maybe that is where you are in your walk and that is fine. But be careful not to push to hard against the grinding wheel of God....or you'll be a useless dull blade that has ruined its temper. Relax man....you ain't Jesus.
None of this is to do with God, it is pride, and self justification. You are saying,
"I am right because I am doing this. How dare you suggest I have any issues
with purity."
I say, talk to God, because clearly you do. And whatever is driving this, sin is at
the root. I commend your good work with dementia patients, I know their
real need and the love that helps uplift them through this time of struggle.

Remember the Pharisee.....I thank "GAWD" I am not like that low life sinner over there.....<----this speaks volumes concerning those who lift themselves up in their own conceited righteousness....and then they began to boast of ALL THAT THEY DO for GOD.......boasting of their works or righteousness......
Sirk - I am sorry. Paul believed in purity, Jesus talked about our hearts defile us.
If you want to believe purity is just on this one verse you have not done a bible
study on purity. Please do a study and you will start to see Gods heart.
I have to assume, you have been a christian for many years, and know scripture
well, so to suggest I am inventing something is rebellion against God.
It is also not wise to suggest I am playing Jesus.
What I will say to those who doubt purity are striking at the heart of the gospel.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
James 1:27
Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
2 tim 2:22
The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
1 Tim 1:5

anyone for any behaviour, because God calls no one to repent, because everyone
is clean and pure because Christ is the payment for sin for everyone.
May as well throw the bible away, we are living in heaven, because we are with

I wonder what is in your heart? So every believer who walks with Christ is not pure,
holy, redeemed or purified, clean. It is all fake, just an illusion, or delusion which is
burst when others testify to the truth in someones life.
Now what to people say of me here? Nice, loving, kind, so close to the truth it is
sad. Do I swear, get angry, abuse others? Do I argue for love and Christ, the word
of God and His truth and righteousness. Yet for you I must be a sinner, failed, a hypocrite.
This is what I call unbelief to a real degree. It is a faith in the failure of man, and not the
success of God in someones life. Now I have faith in God and what He does in peoples heart,
because I know what he has done in me.
But you know everything, even than God. Now all I testify is to what I know.
