The problem of wealth is devaluing true love of Christ through the cross,
and for some it will cost us our lives, and everyday people die because
of these words.

Now I have noticed in Jesus's word, I am called to just share and exalt Him,
to testify to what he has done in my life.

I am not expecting a response, or doing this other than love overwhelms and
overflows in my heart, and I will bear all the rejection or antagonism it generates,
Praise the Lord.

Gods love is unbounded, and never goes to waste.
When you first came to the Lord did the joy and rejoicing limit you to who and
what you shared. It is that fantastic. His love is relentless

No kidding. It's kinda gross how much he loves himself. He's all like.....you don't understand me, I walk in love and purity, it's who I am...blah blah blah.

last time I saw this here was with a guy who called himself Jason007.
Jason007 was fun. He was WWWAAAAAYYYYYY out in left field.

Honestly, I see Peter as right next to getting it. I struggled with it for quite a few years.

I thought morality was spirituality.

When the lightbulb finally came for me.....................FREEDOM.

The natural result of spirituality is morality.

But morality will NEVER result in spirituality.

And I think the majority of us struggle with this at one time or another in our walk.

For Jesus was saying to [the evil spirit in] him, "Come out of this man, you evil spirit."
Always better to say what you mean vs whatever this is supposed to mean.

Amen...well said. I agree that we all have struggled with this in our lives.

Works-based mindsets always get the gospel of the grace and love of Christ backwards. It is a manifestation of the religion of Christianity. It is anti-Christ at it's core because it denies the very work of grace already done in Christ.

It tries to accomplish with it's own efforts what Christ has already done on the cross and resurrection. It is a fruit of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil instead of eating from the tree of Life - which is Christ Himself.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”
Luke 4:18-21

Amen. I would have loved to have seen this.

What has always amazed me is how the ordinary around you can actually be profound,
when God does an amazing work we can easily miss it. In our brothers and sisters
in the Lord, there is a walking miracle, His body in human form, his message of love
and hope in flesh and blood.

Now it is interesting sharing songs we sing at church, in our homes, while we work
is now showing off ones dedication to God in a bad way. Do you know what a
christian is, a work of praise to the glory of God. Are you so ashamed of His work
in you you want to keep it quiet.

And I think it is wise to define "anti" Christ.

Because in the word, it is most often used as "pseudo" Christ. Most people get the picture of a raving , foaming at the mouth lunatic.

When anti-Christ actually means very similar to Christ overtly. Overtly, very much like Christ, but inwardly not like Christ at all.

Ummm, no, actually anti-Christ (more accurately, the word "anti") means "against" or "opposite"..If you're anti-racist, then you're against racism and oppose it. The same goes for anti-abortion and all other anti's out there..The anti-Christ will be NOTHING like Jesus Christ. Not at all. He will say and believe that he is Jesus, but those who recognize him for who he is, will not be fooled..

I agree. Paul said that in the last days people would be "Anti-Christ" not that they would be "Anti-God". There is a vast difference. Religion is all for "God" but in reality they are anti-Christ in their beliefs.

That is the deception that actually denies the grace and work of Christ in our lives and makes the grace of God idle in our lives to effect real change from the Holy Spirit as we behold the glory/goodness of the Lord as in a mirror.

We are transformed by the Holy Spirit from one glory/goodness to the next goodness of the Lord as we see the beauty of Christ's finished work on the cross and resurrection. We see ourselves as one spirit with Him in union in our new creation in Christ.

anti christ.

1 John 2:[SUP]22 [/SUP]Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. [SUP]23 [/SUP]Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

the question thus becomes what does "Deny" mean.

One can believe Jesus is the messiah, yet DENY him,, how?

Normally, these words would be looked upon with great favor. But Peter, you have ruined your witness.

If He is going to say ," I am Jesus." and fool people............he is going to overtly act a LOT like Jesus.

He is going to be something like Jason007. Overtly acts like Jesus Christ, but indirectly DENIES the work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Very religious. The epitome of evil. Who is he going to fool if he doesn't act like a good man? Unbelievers think Jesus was a good man.

If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.
7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
Phil 3:4-9

What an apostle!!! He knew how to rank all he had achieved yet it was all
given up that he might gain Christ and be found in him.

And Pauls foundation was righteousness found through faith in Christ.

Now how can this most precious righteousness be marred by sin in the believers
life and not cause problems and lead to the loss of faith and truth if not
repented of.

As Paul says,
You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Eph 4:22-24

If people find righteousness and holiness too difficult to comprehend, spend time in
the word to learn what it means to walk in the Spirit and to walk in the flesh.
Paul is blunt, walk in the flesh, you will die, walk in the Spirit you will live.

For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
Rom 8:13
