And how many people do you check out when you walk into church to see if they are wearing the right clothes? LOL

You.......... probably no one. But some "Christians" actually do look at people not wearing a coat and tie with disdain.
That's not the kind of uniform the Bible talks about. The garment is Christ. Without Him, you don't get into Heaven.

As a woman, I am rather vain and far more interested in what I wear than what other people are wearing in church. But I don't know whether or not they have on the wedding garment. That comes by being saved.

Far too many "Christians" don't seem to focus too much on what the Bible actually says. (One of the reasons I have come to dig The Shack so much..... It is utterly chock full of Scripture.)

All the more reason to explain to them what a Christian actually is. And I would add, what a Christian is not.
Absolutely! IF you have the chance, and a person that is willing to listen, and believe you.

If a black man runs into 10 white people in a row that treat him like less than a human, then the 11th white guy coming along saying, "no, really, I'm NOT a racist"... then what is that man going to believe? But if the 11th white guy comes up and shakes his hand, and invites him to have lunch with him, and treats him with respect and love, I imagine he would come a lot closer to KNOWING that the 11th guy is not a racist..... but not because the 11th guy simply told him he wasn't.

Those who love Jesus come from every system that exists. They were Buddhists or Mormons, Baptists or Muslims, Democrats, Republicans and many who don’t vote or are not part of any Sunday morning or religious institutions.

When you say "come from every system that exists", do you mean come out of every system, or they are within every system?

I disagree if you mean that there are Muslims and Buddhists that are saved. I will agree if you mean that there are ex-Muslims and ex-Buddhists that are now saved.

I mean people STILL participating in the only religion they know, or have ever known since childhood. Remember that Jesus and the disciples remained Jews, and the Bible talks about them being in the temple services all the time. Jesus was even asked to read from the sacred scrolls during a service.

Following Jesus was never about which religion a person belonged to.... or else Jesus would have started a new religion.

Exactly. Break that image they have of you in their minds with the truth, by whatever means. Including that while we Christians are better off than non-Christians, we are certainly not better than non-Christians. So, if they are looking for imperfections in us, they will find them. That’s what I used to do before I got saved. If someone said they were a Christian, I used to look to see if they matched up to the image of a Christian that I had. And they never did. Because the image I had in my head was just that, in my head. It had nothing to do with reality.
