In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

to become the sons of God,

Have you received the Word?

Amen! "If we claim to be without sin" is in the PRESENT tense. Those who believe they live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life 100% of the time (exactly as Jesus lived) are suffering from a terminal case of self righteousness (1 John 1:8-10).

The gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed, a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation, or live a sinless, perfect life 100% of the time or else! The gospel simply sets forth Christ crucified, buried and risen as the Savior of all who believe (trust) in His finished work of redemption as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation.

In the age to come there will be no more sin.
