I think that any jewelry on a man is ostentatious except maybe a watch and tie clip if you happen to be a businessman that makes lots of money or a bail bondsman because it's part of their business attire.

The people i've known throughout my life including friends had no homosexual tenancies & didn't get them to emulate the opposite sex. But I mean you have the right to your opinion depending on the generation views will vary. For us it was part of the hip hop urban culture for you im sure it's different.

I dunno. Guy ear rings are so popular these days that I don't think they indicate anything about sexual orientation. It's more of a style thing. But it's not my style.

Yea this is pretty mainstream for my generation, almost all the guys got one or both ear piercings. I don't have any though. When I was a kid I asked my dad what he thought about guys getting an ear piercing/s and he pretty much said in much cruder terms everything Willie said here. Lol for that matter he implied the guy with the ear piercing is probably the (female dog) of the gay equation. So I pretty much never bothered with it.

Is that still a thing? I thought the thing was to get the ear pieced and keep sticking progressively bigger whatever-they-ares into the ear to make a big hole.

And then? When you're 60-70 and noticing your ears are still growing, at least you know where you hung your coffee mug. lol

Hubby had them when he was younger. He's about your age.

That left ear/right ear thing has been over since the 80s. (Good thing. I never remembered which ear was the sign for homosexual.)
