Read about 4 translations and they all say the whole earth. Why can't we just believe God?

And my point stands. God said He would never again destroy ALL flesh by a flood.

So since we know many people have perished by OTHER floods through history, If all doesn't mean ALL then God lied.

4 translations are not God.

All flesh is frequently about humans only, in the Bible. You know that.

Interesting view, I've been thinking what's up with copyrights on bibles, I'm just wondering if God inspires people to copyright His Word.

I personally dont like copyrights on Bibles so I prefer ones without it. I like Bibles dedicated to the kingdom of God, not dedicated to profit.

Edit: every work probably has to have some copyright, so I should say "I prefer Bibles with free copyright".

But He did not destroy all flesh. There were at least Noah, wife, 3 sons, 3 son's wives, two of every animal bird, beast, and living creature, and seven of the clean animals. So all didn't mean ALL whichever way you look at it.

Interesting this is from a copyrighted bible too,, though they do allow up to 500 verses to be used in teaching of the word. lol

2 Cor 2:17

New International Version
Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.

lol it had nothing to do with the flood narrative. And is anyone suggesting that every word of a copyrighted Bible is Scripture?.

lol... no they haven't nor do I excuse anyone of that,,, but it just struck me as odd to worry about such things as having a copyright the folks that do place one upon their version. I mean if one was inspired to make a version wouldn't He say don't worry about copyrights that it's in His capable hands.

There's 18 pages now usely by now things turn into mud slinging. lol

Um... Alrighty then. Can't argue with that logic!

the RV translators copyrighted so that people would not be able to be free with the text.

O boy that sounds real logical..

Tyndale was burned at the stake for doing the exact same thing, good thing we don't live in those times gees... that is what can happen doing stuff like that, today if someone does do that then RV has the power to sue the crap out of someone. What kind of peace of mind would that bring to RV.

Be weary of some of these new translations that are published just to make money.

Anybody seen the "queen james" bible?

It removes all references to being gay as being a sin.

The so-called message 'bible' is also gay friendly and has quite a few places in it where they change the meaning of what is being said by the Lord just to fit they seeker sensitive, universalist leaning agenda

Funny you say that when the KJV first was printed it had a major typo in it, the saying on the street in those times was do you have the She bible or the He bible.

Again, Just because it can does not mean it does..

There is your flaw.. You may be right,, But then again, Context would say otherwise.

Unless it said all except that which was in the ark.

This excuse to say all does not mean all is pretty week. Again, Context is your weak link.

the RV has been in use for 130 years. I have never heard any complaint about it. They granted free use of the text. The reason for the copyright was so that cults and such like could not reproduce a text with their emendations in it and pass it off as the RV. Sounds sensible to me.

it shows that ALL did not mean ALL however way you look at it.

It meant nearly all flesh within a context, and that context was Noah's 'land'.

It does not mean all (outside the ark) does not mean all (outside the ark)

No matter how much you want to demand it does.

The flesh in the ark was int he ark to be saved from the flood, That includes the animal flesh. Which means it could not just be human flesh. But had to be all..
