I came to think of this sci-fi movie I watched.... can't remember which one .... but some guy had some top secret info downloaded into his brain, and it was protected by something that would kill him if someone tried to hack it.... I wonder if there are scientist out there actually trying to make stuff like that

But couldn't they just keep hacking it after he's dead? :rolleyes: It might actually make it easier.

That's a good question.

In your computer there are two kinds of memory. The hard drive is non-volatile, which means when the power goes off the data is still there, encoded in the physical structure of the memory. The RAM chips are volatile, which means when the power goes out anything in the RAM chips is lost.

So is the brain volatile or non-volatile memory? If the power goes out are memories lost or are they retained in the physical structure of the brain? If brain memory is non-volatile the guy's brain could still be hacked after he was dead.

Some would say if you continue to sin you are not a child of God. But I see scripture like John that say IF you sin then God is faithful and just and forgive you of your sins and will cleanse you of all unrighteousness. Do I sin? Unfortunately yes. Do I sin the same kind of sin over the years. Unfortunately yes. How in the world do I have the chance to join the Lord Jesus in heaven then? Because I have no other choice than to stand strong and firm in the belief that He forgives and His grace IS sufficient for me. I go to no other place or person for forgiveness and salvation than the foot of the cross. There is no other place where salvation is found. So I continue to defy hopelessness, and doubt and cry out to Jesus. I MUST believe this or all hope is lost.

Not until there is a method for scanning the human brain and decoding the data therein. Currently the people who know stuff worth killing for are safe because if they died we couldn't get the data out even if it IS still in there.

No, the only way to get the information right now is keeping them alive and torturing them.

Man, that got dark in a hurry. >.>

Actually, the brain remains alive for several minutes after the heart stops beating so they will have time to either download or connect it to another power source.. :rolleyes: I bet the people who wrote the movie didn't think about that! :cool:

hehe, I think they did manage to download it and that the guy died. I can't really remember ... watched a lot of sci fi movies that year so I mix them all up :p
