Okay, I disagree about your assesments of doctors.

I know some who are strong Christians who will join in prayer with their patients.

The snake staff is based off of the staff Moses used to heal snake bites in the desert.

Yes some made it into an idol but the symbol is from the Bible and not Greek pagan roots.

Not really looking for a debate about it.

You are entitled to your opinion.

Why don't they just put their hands on them and heal them then if they are such strong Christians?

Do you go to the hospital and heal all the sick people there?

If not, why not?

Again can you clearly state the gospel message?

I believe all born again believer should be able to do so.

There's such a thing as too much of a good thing and brainwashing people to believe unrealistic things has gotten to the point of absurdity,people are saying that if you have a mental disorder then you deserve it for not praying in earnest,for not spending enough time reading the Bible,for not giving enough to the collection plate for not believing blindly in non sense.

NOW do you guy's see what im talking about when I say that the common Christian teachings are flawed? People are being brainwashed to believe that no matter how someone lives if they have a undesirable trait then they deserve it.

I thought that God is such a nice guy that He let's everyone into Heaven.

He's also so indifferent or cruel that people that don't deserve punishment get it anyway...which is it?

Don't think that just because the world says you are flawed that it is true. The world wants people to be flawed to exploit them.

God is not cruel or indifferent and He made you. Believe that God loves you and be healed by the name of Jesus.

If God punish people, they deserve it. Some people lie and say it's God's punishment when it's not...got a bible verse that says this.....

No chokm has bought into false teachings and since he can't even clearly state the gospel message is just playing games and messing with your head.

His beliefs contradict what most everyone else has posted.

Like I said if reincarnation is a main factor in this conversation then OK I can see the reasoning but so far it's not a factor and I think that most Christians don't believe in reincarnation correct? some even say that it's a satanic belief.

Im learning about Christianity right now and one aspect that I've come across is Catharism I think that it's called,they do believe in reincarnation they also think that we are already in hell and you don't leave until you prove that you are worthy,you even get reincarnated back into it.

I have to say that there is valid reasoning for this,I've believed that life is nothing but a test of faith those that don't have enough faith don't make it to Heaven,He actually alludes to this in scripture by saying that He can't protect you from the demons if you don't have faith in Him.

"Enough faith"...no it's not the measure but what you have faith IN. Or more specifically Who you believe in and if you have a saving faith.

What is the gospel message?

Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross for YOUR SINS? Have you been born again? Does the Holy Spirit testify that you are a child of God? Do you follow His leading?

Some of you are braver than i am about opening up about your personal lives and struggles.

This topic has been upon my mind because my father was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He died last March and I have NOT lived with him since my mom divorced him when I as 8. He tried to kill my younger brothers and my mom got in the way. She ended up in the hospital with broken ribs.

I don't really want to go more personal on an online intenet open forum.

Suffice to say, God is still helping me heal from scars I didn't even realize I had.

Hi Ariel , sorry to hear that. My mum had schizophrenia so I was brought up in
foster care by my aunt.


I thought this link might be useful, it sets out all the
different reasons for schizophrenia. Interestingly one of them
is someone born prematurely/ low birth weight, as it's thought this could
effect the brain development.

This can be something which just happens or down to environment factors,
drug abuse etc. It made me wonder if just on this thing alone if we might see
more schizophrenia, more prem babies are surviving as we now have the medical
knowledge to keep them alive.

It also helps us to see that not all schizophrenia is demon possession as some
may think.
