Wait for the poll.... or not. :p

I don't drink coffee, but I just found a real good reason to start. Read an article by a medical doctor that said caffeine actually increases testosterone. I think at this point in life I can use all the testosterone I can get!

So do you drink coffee? Why? Why not?

Tea first, tea last, tea always. I'm sure I could find a study somewhere telling us it's healthier than coffee.

I'm one of those people that drinks a soda in the morning instead of coffee. When people look at me funny, I tell them it's like a cold coffee. Both caffeine. ;)

The question one could ask is " Do I eat or drink for Gods glory or my own." This is not a blank question but a call for believers to consider how their habits effect others around them.

As for myself I don't drink coffee unless it's a dire emergency, and I mean dire - like I have only got three hours of sleep and I need to get through a work shift.

In such dire straits I go to the local fast food place called Jack's. They have a big ice cream bin where they make cones and shakes out of real ice cream, not that imitation ice cream most fast food factories sell. I get what I call a mocha shake - about a third chocolate ice cream, and fill it up the rest of the way with black coffee. If it's a new person he'll apologize for the shake being so liquid. I assure him that's just how I want it.

And that's how I do coffee when I have to.

I don't know, zero, you're pretty testosterone-y. Me, on the other hand, you just gave me a reason to drink even more of it!

I drink it just about everyday. I grind up some beans at work and add a little bit of coconut creamer. Thai iced coffees are where it's at, though.

It is said that tea is the thinking man's coffee. ^.^

What kind do you prefer? Darjeeling, earl grey, oolong, lapsing...?

EDIT: Actually I get the feeling I have asked you that question before. But I forget what the answer was.

Glad to hear about the health benefits of coffee! But I wonder if they offset the insomnia that is at least partially due to me drinking coffee?

Love coffee. In my city we have many Italian immigrants so our grind is exceptional. But I am not a coffee snob.Happily drink instant. My coffee of choice is a mocha but will happily settle for a latte with a hazelnut syrup.
When I worked in hospitality I was on the coffee machine and didnt have time for a lunch break - so I ended up drinking 8- 9 coffees day to compensate.I am now down to 2 a day.Couldnt imagine life without coffee even though I only started drinking it when I worked in a brasserie in London at age 19. :)

You sound like my son, Nick. He is not interested in coffee at all. I did not acquire a taste for coffee until I reached my 30's.

I do drink coffee but every once in a while quit. I function better during my times of abstinence with it but I enjoy it. If you want ways to increase your testosterone I have better ways then starting an addiction.

There's a chocolate mint oolong that stash does that I really like. Oolong in general is good. I kind of lost my taste for earl grey when I did a cold vanilla earl grey latte at a tea shop that ended up just tasting like flowers. A good black is always nice too, usually something like an english breakfast. Oh and orange and spice tea, and we can't forget the rooibus or any of Celestial seasoning's fruity hibiscus based zinger teas. And yeah, I suppose I do drink enough tea to be confused with a thinking man, especially online.

I read that as brassiere, got a funny mental picture, and burst out laughing. Good to know that you weren't working in a piece of clothing.

I drink coffee all day, every day. I like my coffee the same way I like my romantic interests - hot, bitter, and murky.

A person after my own heart! Black teas are the best for everyday drinking. I had a darjeeling that I could brew stronger than coffee, when I really needed a strong caffeine kick.

Protip: Catnip tea - yeah, just brewed catnip - may send felines into orbit but when a human has a stomach virus it can quiet the stomach down. Old homeopathic my mother used to use. It was effective, especially with just a touch of honey. No lemon - the acid would not be good for a queasy stomach.
