Putin just found out that Trump isn't as limp as Obama was. Syria just learned that line in the sand means something to the President of America again. At worst, this could mean we might go over there to stabilize that country. Chances are good we won't, since we have a track-record of doing anything but that often enough.
This is no more than what we did to an idiot leader in Libya 30+ years ago -- we got their attention, so they'll stop doing that again. Daddy just pulled the car over to lecture the kids in the backseat. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Not WWIII. Putin is smarter than that. Syria isn't in any position to start a war. The Middle East isn't in any position to start a war.
