Lol for some reason your post made me laugh.

God bless you brother and praise God for your enthusiasm.
Thank you Ariel! It heartens me! Who sez God ain't got a sense of humor, eh?

I find people quoting Bible verses, in replies to questions asked! Which is great, that they know where to find their answer/s to questions. Thing is, God KNOWS the Bible also! What God doesn't know, is if you can tell HIM, what it means TO YOU!
This is way before, He'll even let you tell anyone else!
Reminds me of a song "lyric"..."they know chapter and verse, but, they don't KNOW YOU!"

You're not thinking. And I can't think for ya.

I never asked you too.

The gospel.

For God so loved the world. he gave his only begotten son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM (responds) will not perish but has Has eternal life (is saved)

which is why we have to preach the Law first!
once they see they are lost sinners, then comes the Good News!
I disagree,

Romans 1 says we all know we are condemned, We do not need the law to tell us..

The gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ Himself and what He has already done in His work on the cross and resurrection.

There is always a "response" to the gospel but the response is not the gospel itself. The gospel is Christ Himself.

It is called "the too good to be true good news". The word "gospel" is only used a few times in the Greek language and always as a wonderment that is almost too good to be true. News is something "that has already happened".

Without the foundation of Christ Himself being built - we can build on something that is not a solid foundation which is Christ Himself and then the whole Christian life gets skewed and instead we can build a religion that utilizes the terms - Jesus, God, word of God, Holy Spirit...etc.

Some people know both.

I find reassurance from scripture verses. That's why I quote them.

It's like rereading God's letter to us and how he loves us. He tells us how the world works. I find it very reassuring, but some just find it more confusing.

We have to pray and ask God how to listen and speak with others.

I disagree,

Romans 1 says we all know we are condemned, We do not need the law to tell us..
you yourself have said a million times the Law points to need of a Savior.
people have to know they've all come short of the glory of the God of the Bible.
that involves preaching the Law. when people see how they've broken the Law, they seek a Savior

they need God's particular Law to know who He is. no evangelist worth his salt doesn't go to the Law when preaching.
you know this eg.

Some self righteous works folks would deny they need a savior, deny they have sinned and need to repent because outwardly they haven't.

God shows that He cares more of the inner heart and how people selfishness, pride and anger hurts themselves and others.

The gospel message of both justification and sanctification shows how God's saves and cleanses our innermost hearts.

But you could explain what you mean.,,,instead of playing games.
Our response to the Gospel is not part of the Gospel.......

For God so loved the world that He sent our response, that whoever believed in our response..........

So you are saying Jesus is the gospel?

If you want to define it that way, it's your choice.

However, can you see beyond your own limited definition to what is being spoken about?

Can you answer QUESTION 2 of the OP?

All people need to know is that they are sinners. and that because they are sinners, They are rightly condemned.

They do not need to know precept by precept all of the law..

Rom 1 says everyone knows they are sinners.. They do not need to be told.. I have yet to meet a person who does not think they have never sinned once in their lives, Whether they know the law or not.

No evangelist worth his salt will go precept by precept teaching the law..

Why?

I feel like there is a story behind this statement.
Ever hear me talk about the church destroyed by a charlatan? The church I met hubby in? That charlatan used "discipleship training" as his excuse to get the people to do whatever he wanted, and then some, any time he wanted without question.

That church caused the movement to fail. (Bob Mumford was talking about that church when he was talking about "misuse.")

Okay, can you answer QUESTION 2?
Sure..no problem. God wants us to live the same way we received Christ - by grace through faith in what Christ has already done on the cross and resurrection. Col. 2:6 and Eph. 2:8-10

The righteous shall live by faith. Romans 1:17

Faith comes when we hear the ( rhema - living ) word of Christ.
Romans 10:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Those self righteous people are usually religious people who probably know the law better than you or I put together.

Jesus said, I did not come to judge, I cam to saved.

The law judges..

The law says do not do this or that..Or your dead..

The gospel says, Because you have done this or that, I Need to save or redeem you..

Don't get me wrong. I'm not ever going to argue with EG again, but... honestly? I thought you two were on the same page for what he wrote. What did he say there that you disagree with and why? (Post 58, if you're trying to figure out what he said that time.)

Please this is an attempt to find common ground. Take the poll and explain clearly what the gospel of Christ is.

1. How does someone gain salvation?
You can not "gain" salvation. You can only "be saved"
2. How does God want to live our lives?
By serving and loving others based on his love for us (He saved us while we were yet sinners, and his enemy)

Yeah we have people who misuse and abuse the authority entrusted to them.

That is why I praise God for His Holy Spirit who can help us spot people who really can help us learn what the Bible, says because they display the fruit of walking with God's holy spirit.

are you serious?
ALL the unbelievers I know think they are NOT sinners.
and they won't until they hear the Law pronounce them such.
pretty hard to grasp onto why Jesus came and why He lived a perfect life if people don't know the basics in the Law.

Good point, salvation is a gift from God because He is the one saving us even though we don't always recognize it when he is doing so.
