I believe that we wasted 59 good cruise missiles.

When I see all the men scrambling to get out of their country and asking the rest of the world to fight their battle for them, I'm more inclined to intercept them me at the border, put them on a plane, give them a rifle, ammo, and a parachute, then drop them back in the middle of the fight. Fifty-nine planes full of armed refugees arriving at the airfield, would have sent a much stronger message than 59 cruise missiles.

It's time for the people of the Middle East to fight their own battles.
I would have to disagree, we are strong nation and have power the middle east is not like us and need help. if one is strong and has power it is their duty to protect and help the weak and those in need.

People from the middle east makes lousy soldiers. You don't want any of them to cover your back. I guess there is a reason why everybody else is fighting their fights.

Our infrastructure is crumbling, our education system is approaching third world quality, we have the most complex tax system in the free world, we have a crumbling defense department, we have a healthcare delivery system that meets the needs of less than half our people, we have a Congress on recess, and president tweeting about how great he is, and we cheer the launch of 59 cruise missiles on planes and hangers at a Syrian airbase. Guess what? The Syrian air force has launched attacks on the same city that they gassed today. Yes, we are a brilliant group of people.

What would we accomplish if we shared Jesus with the same excitement that we cheer a cruise missile attack?

This strong nation hasn't improved the safety of anyone in the Middle East in 16 years of war. What makes you think that we will accomplish anything now?

Nobody on Christianchat.com believes Assad gassed some of his own people on 4-4-2017; if they really believed Assad gassed his own people, they would have been able to refute the videos' I posted and they would be able to show credible evidence. These gullible warmongers, who are puppets of the global elite banking cartel, lose once once again; God will be their judge.

I just watched the documentary "Cries from Syria" on HBO. Assad has been gassing his own people for 6 years. Supposedly, he signed a deal with Obama promising to get rid of the chemical weapons, especially Sarin, and then Assad went right back to gassing his own people, hundreds and hundreds of times.

I saw the videos of men, women and children and them struggling for breath, foaming at the month, where the chemical weapons were dropped. I suggest you watch the video, and find out what the "rebels" are fighting for, and how many innocent civilians have died, caught in the nightmare crossfire of this godless dictator, Assad!

I am not watching your silly videos. Assad is a madman and a dictator. The UN needs to get involved, if the US doesn't. (The US should not really have to be involved, except in concert with the UN!)

Iran is allied with Syria, as Syria is allied with Russia. But then, a dictator like Putin or the head of Iran should have no difficulty supporting an absolute murdering dictator, because that is what they are, too!

I think it's well known here that I don't like Donald Trump but I would have done exactly the same thing given the circumstances. Quick and concise action was the right thing to do here
Would you have told the Russians before the attack knowing the Russians would in turn tell the Syrians who in turn removed the planes, removed the people who then set back from a safe distance to watch the fireworks?

Trump did this "stunt" to raise his US approval ratings while giving Putin a big hug at the same time.

I for one am not impressed :)-

Assad never once gassed his own people; Jesus would never use his sword against Assad or direct anyone else to use violence against Assad.

You won't watch the videos' because you plan to continue to support the evil banking cartel and their sick Diabolical schemes.

You seem to be very protective of this man, he isn't innocent and it's not unlike him to do such a thing they have photo evidence as well. You continue to argue for him even though you have shown and told the evidence and you become angry and spit unkind words to others who oppose you, perhaps you need to take a break from this topic and discuss something more bible related as this topic appears to have a heavy affect on you

If I never let go of your hand while you are learning to walk, you will never walk. The attempts to change the Middle East has failed because we still want to hold the hands of the people there. I believe that it is time to let go.

We have enough problems at home to keep us busy for the next 16 years.

If they can be strong enough to walk on there own yes i agree but as of now they are not which is why we are helping, if we have the ability to help but choose not to help and they come to ruin then that is on us.

I suppose you think nothing has changed in the last few years to warrant a change?

An estimated 11 million Syrians have fled their homes since the outbreak of the civil war in March 2011. Now, in the sixth year of war, 13.5 million are in need of humanitarian assistance within the country. Among those escaping the conflict, the majority have sought refuge in neighbouring countries or within Syria itself. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), 4.8 million have fled to Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, and 6.6 million are internally displaced within Syria. http://syrianrefugees.eu/

Consider the following articles which may justify calling the incident a false flag:

https://www.google.com/webhp?source...on+attack+on+Syria,+blame+it+on+Assad+govt’+–

Note that it includes links from the conservative Daily Mail which suggests this was in the planning stages for several years. Not my idea - theirs.

sword illustrated as the Holy Spirit, not a martial weapon - see Ephesians 6:17

He doesn't need congressional approval as there is a lot of leeway in how a president can respond to something urgent. He would need congressional approval for the funding of a long protracted military operation but never needs their approval whatsoever for any military action that is either contemplated or acting upon. Congress only controls the purse strings but the president may act unilaterally if he so choses since he is the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

He may do so under the War Powers Act but only if the USA is in any form of military danger. No such danger nor was any vital interest demonstrated.
