***continuing to look at the Book of Romans**** Romans 2:1-6 "Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest; for wherein thou judgest another, thou that judgest doest the same things. But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and unpentitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous jugdment of God: Who will render to every man according to his deeds:" ****more to come Questions to consider: 1. What does it mean to judge someone wrongly? 2. How does God's goodness lead us to repent?

Judging someone wrongly, is judging them by your own standard and not by God's standard.

Titus 2:3-5 "For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared,5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,"

Jesus is God's goodness and loving kindness, He saved us not because of works, but because of His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Spirit or by causing us to be born again, which bring us to repentance. God's Spirit allows us to see the kingdom of heaven by making us born again.

John 3:3 "J
esus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

ROMANS 2:14-23. "For the Gentiles, whom have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, havng not the law, are a law unto themselves; Who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the meanwhile excusing else accusing one another). In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
But if thou art called a Jew, and resteth in the law, and makest thy boast of God. And knowest His will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law, And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them who are in darkness. An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, who hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law-- Thou therefore, who teaches another, teacheth not thou thyself? Thou that preachers a man should not steal, dost thou steal? Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, doest thou commit adultery? Thou that abhorest idols, dost thou commit sacriledge? Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?"

Why don't you read Chapter 1 and then into Chapter 2 to get the whole thought? Then it won't be so confusing for you. Notice? You started in the middle of a thought there? He said "Therefore you are inexcusable...." The therefore indicated the reason you are inexcusable. Read Chapter 1 and into Chapter 2

Romans 2:24-29. "For the name of God is blasphemed among the gentiles through you, as it is written. For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law; but if though be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. Therefore, if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision? And shall not uncircumcision, which is by nature, if it fulfilled the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law? For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh; But he is a Jew who is one inwardly ; and the circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit and not in the letter; whose praise us not of men, but of God"

GOD looks at the heart, man looks at the outward appearances. For man to make a right judgement,he can only judge what he can perceive outwardly.

The children of Israel were purifying the outward man In the dessert.

GOD looks at a persons heart.

JESUS magnified the law to the Inward man In TRUTH.

Only GOD can clean the Inside.

***We Gentiles have been grafted into the Tree of Salvation***(Romans 11:17, 18) "And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree, Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee." We owe the Jews/Israel much since "unto them were committed the oracles of God." (Romans 3:2)...
