The Queen's Royal Descent from King David of Judah
I don't know if you are trying to be funny or just trying to discredit the conversation. Heremon, #50 of your post was the seventh son of Milesius of Spain. His descendants trace back to Japhet, not Shem (# 11) as you have it in your post. So like us we are all descendants of Noah, but No One can prove their genealogy leads back to David, second King of Israel. Not one Jew has the genealogy back to David. The Jews believed they were God's chosen by their bloodline. Many thought they were better than the unwashed. In particular Rome with all of their pagan gods. That is why the Romans made a particular point to destroy their records thoroughly. Then they could only claim to be a Jew, and not prove it after that. I believe it was God that had Rome destroy those records as they replaced Him and were a point of pride to the Jewish people. But more than that, Jesus the Messiah had come. He fulfilled the law and the prophets. God has always had His chosen people. They weren't always Jews though. Even when Elijah thought he was the only one faithful to God, God told him of the 7000, a remnant He had reserved unto himself. How many of the millions that left Egypt entered the promised land? Only 2, Joshua and Caleb. Now that's something to think about.

The true Sabbath has not changed. We have been given a great revelation that each day is holy however even this doesn't change the Sabbath or the appointed feast times and there Sabbaths. You are changing the law and make Yeshua to be a liar by your theology.
Can you give me scripture that sys every day is holy ?
not being funny, would just like to know - thank you.

Romans 14:5 (GWT)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] One person decides that one day is holier than another. Another person decides that all days are the same. Every person must make his own decision.

Romans 14:5 (NIV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.
Nehemiah 10:33 (GWT)
33 for rows of the bread of the presence, and for the daily grain offerings and daily burnt offerings, on the weekly days of worship, and on the New Moon Festivals, and at the appointed annual festivals, for the holy gifts and offerings for sin that make peace with God for Israel, and for all the other work in the temple of our God.

Numbers 28:10 (GWT)
[SUP]10 [/SUP] This burnt offering is for every day of worship in addition to the daily burnt offerings and the wine offerings that go with them.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NKJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] pray without ceasing,

Luke 19:46-47 (HCSB)
[SUP]46 [/SUP] and He said, “It is written, My house will be a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves!”
[SUP]47 [/SUP] Every day He was teaching in the temple complex. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to destroy Him,

If you would, please read posts 364 and 365. Then look it up for yourself and see what day of the week Sabbath is. We dishonor Jesus and crucify Him over and over again by not acknowledging that His sacrifice was the fulfillment of our rest. That is one reason there is no harmony today.
We dishonor Jesus when we don't acknowledge that He is God, that He spoke at creation. We dishonor Jesus when we won't listen to how the world was created and how we are to live in it. No atonement and no cleaning of a human has ever been done without blood as all scripture testifies. God is I am and I am did not begine at Bethleham.

Scripture tells us spefically how to rest in the Lord in thought, word, and deed. The reason there is no harmony today is that humans have taken it on themselves to decide about creation and how we are guided to live in it in harmony. Scripture does not say "you are crucifying Christ over again". Man does. Scripture tells us to have faith, trust, and love for God and if you love Him you will follow His words. You will follow God as He presented Himself as Christ and as He presented Himself as the Father.

Nice try - but I don't see in any of the scriptures you mention that every day is to be considered 'holy' as we have in the 'direct word of God concerning the sabbath day'.
Friend...if you can't keep 'ONE DAY holy' as per commandment of God how do you expect to keep 'every day holy' ? it's just mouthing words of men's own reasoning that are not in obedience to God making YOURSELF holier than thou. This may sound harsh but so much nonsense is being spoken against the sabbath day perpetuating the hatred and emnity between people who don't heed the fact that JESUS abolished it and rent the veil of separation.
There is nothing bad about keeping every day holy but it should not be at the expense of rejecting/denying the Sabbath day of God. That is what people should consider !

Old Covenant Worship Command:

Exodus 31:12-17 (HCSB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] The LORD said to Moses:
[SUP]13 [/SUP] “Tell the Israelites: You must observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am Yahweh who sets you apart.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people.
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, dedicated to the LORD. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
[SUP]16 [/SUP] The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
[SUP]17 [/SUP] It is a sign forever between Me and the Israelites, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”

New Covenant Worship Command:

Hebrews 10:19-25 (HCSB)
[SUP]19 [/SUP] Therefore, brothers, since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary through the blood of Jesus,
{NOT through Sabbath Keeping.}
[SUP]20 [/SUP] by a new and living way He has opened for us through the curtain (that is, His flesh),
[SUP]21 [/SUP] and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,
[SUP]22 [/SUP] let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled ⌊clean⌋ from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.
[SUP]23 [/SUP] Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
[SUP]24 [/SUP] And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works,
[SUP]25 [/SUP] not staying away from our ⌊worship⌋ meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Galatians 5:13-14 (HCSB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For you were called to be free, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Romans 13:9-10 (HCSB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] The commandments: Do not commit adultery; do not murder; do not steal; do not covet; and whatever other commandmentall are summed up by this: Love your neighbor as yourself.
[SUP]10 [/SUP] Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.

I have no problems with the NT commands to love God and neighbour ! but where does it say they REPLACE the sabbath ?
As far as is shown they INCLUDE keeping the sabbath as THE ONE holy and sanctified day....

JESUS kept it and should be our living walking example. Just telling people to keep it is not working as seen from the beginning of time....seems not even a 'living example is helping us either ! why ? people are 'meddling with scripture making them out to say something different than what they are....hatred, division and confusion are inevitable. Jesus died to abolish emnity between us yet people/christians want to perpetuate it by following 'another jesus' - which we are WARNED about Mat 24 !
We are ALL to be ONE people !!! There is no Covenant with anyone outside ISRAEL !

JESUS reiterated verbally 9 of the the 10 commandments, guess which one HE did not verbally reiterate?

What part of : [SUP] [/SUP]Tell the Israelites: You must observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am Yahweh who sets you apart", do you not understand?

What part of : [SUP] [/SUP]"It is a sign forever between Me and the Israelites", do you not understand?

What part of : Romans 13:8 (HCSB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law", do you not understand?

You are missing the whole point of the New Covenant LOVE Commandment.

And you are to love others and HIM, co-equally every day of the week, not just one day a week.

Matthew 25:31-46 (NKJV)
[SUP]31 [/SUP] "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
[SUP]32 [/SUP] All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
[SUP]33 [/SUP] And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
[SUP]34 [/SUP] Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
[SUP]35 [/SUP] for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in;
[SUP]36 [/SUP] I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'
[SUP]37 [/SUP] Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
[SUP]38 [/SUP] When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
[SUP]39 [/SUP] Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
[SUP]40 [/SUP] And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'
[SUP]41 [/SUP] Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
[SUP]42 [/SUP] for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;
[SUP]43 [/SUP] I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.'
[SUP]44 [/SUP] Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'
[SUP]45 [/SUP] Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
[SUP]46 [/SUP] And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

It is NOT Keeping the Day, that is the focus of the NEW COVENANT, it is the MOTIVE for what you do, and what is going on in your HEART, that HE searches for in the NEW COVENANT.

In case you did not know NEW Testament and NEW COVENANT, MEAN THE EXACT SAME THING.

1 Corinthians 11:25 (ESV)
[SUP]25 [/SUP] In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

2 Corinthians 3:6 (RSV)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not in a written code but in the Spirit; for the written code kills, but the Spirit gives life.

In case you are of a gentile nation, and think you are a spiritual Israel, because you have the Faith of Abraham, I remind you that Abraham was NOT an Israelite, Abraham was from UR of the Chaldees, way south of Baghdad.

When GOD promised Abraham that HE would be the Father of Many Peoples, that was a REFERENCE to MANY NATIONS, NOT just the one Nation Israel.

Genesis 17:5-6 (GWT)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] So your name will no longer be Abram [Exalted Father], but Abraham [Father of Many]
because I have made you a father of many nations.
[SUP]6 [/SUP] I will give you many descendants. Many nations and kings will come from you.

Romans 4:16-18 (ASV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all
[SUP]17 [/SUP] (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, even God, who giveth life to the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were.
[SUP]18 [/SUP] Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be.

We all know Yeshua had to obey the Sabbath because he is the rightous one.

1 John 2...
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[a] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

So yes keeping the commands is a part of true redemption. Ya'll who make sure your Interpretation of scripture relieves you of responsibility in Messiah are mistaken. I have fear for your souls that you may never understand because you have never tried. If scripture seems to be in conflict I know the problem is my understanding. There have been many instances where I was wrong. The rooster sounded in the temple for the three scheduled sacrifices and was a man not a bird. If I didn't practice righteousness I would have never understood what it means to know the difference between clean and unclean, good and evil. How would I be able to make rightous judgment without that. Anyway here's hoping someone repents.

Philippians 2 and came across this little gem in verse 8: “He [Jesus] humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” Note the “how” here. Jesus humbled himself. How? “By becoming obedient.” It makes sense, but I hadn’t really thought about it before—obedience and humility are intrinsically connected.

The keeping of the Sabbath was a sign of the Covenant between GOD and ISRAEL, it says so in Ex. 31; NOT BETWEEN GOD AND THE NEW COVENANT CHURCH.

Hi, I am trying to keep God's Holy day in the correct way, I do not go to a church because there are only two churches in the village in which I live and although I have been asked to join one of them, they do not keep God's Holy day on a Saturday.

I wondered if any one else have the same problem, and if so what you do.
Be careful not to become obsessed with keeping Sabbath... i once wanted to keep it Holy and chased the answer as to how.... don't tie yourself down with self righteous rituals... Love and Trust the Messiah... Rest in Him and you will keep the Sabbath. Oh my it is such a debated topic and I was often likened to a Pharisee for being pro Sabbath.... May you Keep Sabbath in love and truth my dear.

Good question.

I live by the way of righteousness and in regards to Proverb those who walk in its way find the path of eternal life. If you are worried about living by keeping the law all you must do is remember that you are under Grace. There is nothing that can separate you from the love of your Father in Heaven and who told you to not try to be perfect? No you can't be perfect in the flesh but you already Know the truth that no one is justified by the works of the law by the flesh. You are not under the law of sin and death however which is what the flesh still dies from. You have been called to holiness and to practice this renewed way by the spirit. The Old Covenant as many call it in error was prophecied to be renewed not replaced. Looking into it the word is renewed covenant, like what you have hard " I have made all things new". Before we have no life giving Spirit now the holy Spirit, the comforting Spirit that revieals all truth to those who seek understanding animates the law of liberty, wisdom once again sits at her corner bidding you to come in.

Now since we have a high priest over the house of YHWH Elohim we are saved. There is nothing that would befall us that comes close to separate you from him. Other than disobedience that befell Israel in the wilderness when the firey surpents struck down them who did not look up to Messiah. Again when Israel was in the Holy land they burned incense to the image of the surpent on the cross and fell under a curse for not giving glory to YHWH Elohim of Heaven and Earth, you have not considered His ways and as such the word warns that you will get cut off from His people if you don't repent. I know it's hard because I once thought all I had to do was believe. God doesn't want robots He wants soldiers in the war to keep the Faith of Messiah Yeshua and His Father YHWH Elohim.

I have tried my best to answer your question about faith and trust in Messiah. I hope you seek understanding without judgement friends.

JohnTalmid,
re: "I know it's hard because I once thought all I had to do was believe."

And even if that was all a person had to do, there would still be a problem because beliefs cannot be consciously chosen.

WOW, do you ever misunderstand what I have been saying. Technically we believe the SAME THING, with one exception. I believe EXODUS 31:12-18 LITERALLY, in that the SABBATH LAW was a special commandment for ISRAEL ONLY. You have to insert your opinion, to make it apply to the Church too; thereby making it say what GOD DID NOT SAY.

I have BEEN THE STRONGEST proponent of the FACT that the genuine born again Christian, is one who LOVES Jesus Christ as LORD. I absolutely believe that LOVE is not of us, but rather part of the gift of GOD and is the LOVE that the HOLY SPIRIT poured into our hearts, (Rom. 5:5). THEREFORE WE WILL OUT OF THAT SAME LOVE THE HOLY SPIRIT POURED INTO OUR HEARTS, CONTINUALLY STRIVE FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES TO DO WHAT HE COMMANDS. AND when we FAIL, we will willingly confess and repent of it in accordance with what HE commanded in 1 John 1:9.

THUS THIS VERSE IS ABSOLUTE TRUTH, about every born again Christian.

John 14:15 (HCSB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] “If you love Me, you will keep My commands.

It is perfectly acceptable, if you want to worship on Saturday. It is wrong of you to say everyone who does not worship on Saturday, is SINNING.

I repeat: I believe EXODUS 31:12-18 LITERALLY, in that the SABBATH LAW
was a special commandment for ISRAEL ONLY.

Remember Paul said the following verses:

Romans 14:5 (GWT)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] One person decides that one day is holier than another.
Another person decides that all days are the same.
Every person must make his own decision.

HE IS THE CREATOR OF ALL DAYS.

Romans 7:6 (YLT)
[SUP]6 [/SUP] and now we have ceased from the law, that being dead in which we were held, so that we may serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of letter.

Galatians 5:14 (HCSB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Maybe I have misunderstood you friend. Israel is the name that Elohim has selected to call His people yes? If there is one tree symbolic of the nation of YHWH Elohim, (there is). We are grafted into that tree and live by the same roots don't we? Israel is the name Elohim calls you if you are his people. Scripture makes it clear thank Heaven that there is one law for Israel and the foriner among them. So Sabbath is also for us in Messiah Yeshua as Shaul makes Clear. So there remains a Sabbath keeping for those in Messiah Yeshua today. Don't fall into disobedience as they did in the wilderness for our example.
