Romans 8:15 King James Version (KJV)

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Then why do so many people instil a spirit of fear preaching we can lose what GFod freely gave us?

it makes no sense.

This even adds to the ignorance of your statement....no where have I ever embraced and or pushed Calvinist views....more cake taking I see....geesh, is this all you can do is accuse erroneously and in ignorance?

It is so easy to find the men followers.. They hear you say a few words, and assume they know what you mean.. And how dare you tell them they are wrong..

I have to just laugh when people try to say others believe in a doctrine everyone knows they do not believe in (well at least the people who are open minded to listening to what others are actually saying)

[SUP]46 [/SUP]While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

[SUP]49 [/SUP]And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

Even the rightouse can be didobediant when there rightouseness Goes to there Head..:)
Like I said, ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God. Moses struck the rock as if the power to produce water was coming from Him instead of through him. He got a big head, and was disciplined for it. But his faults were forgiven by the blood of Christ, and he did live his life in a righteous way.

God knows every thought and intention, and only He is Judge. But often times the righteous are accused of being self-righteous even when that attitude/intention was mis-diagnosed. And to them Christ says "Blessed are you when people falsely accuse you Because of Me (Christian). But the accuser will definitely be accused of judging.

Since Gods standard of obedience is perfection. An not one, but Christ ever lived, or will ever life up to that standard. (As Moses and Paul confirmed, One must obey ever word written, even Breaker the least of the law, as James affirmed, makes us guilty of the whole law)

What is your standard of obedience one must attain to gain or earn salvation?
God does not tell us to do something that we cannot do- even "Be perfect as I am perfect." We do not obtain this in the same way He does (Self-Righteous), but we do obtain it in the same amount (perfectly righteous)- because He shares His righteousness with us by the blood of Christ. In Christ we are made perfect, "without blemish and free of accusation IF..." So to say "Be perfect" is to say "Be in Christ"- which is obtainable for us.

ok here I agree,,

But Jesus also said that would be an eternal position. He said as long as I live, you will live also.. He said if you place yourself in me you will live forever.. If you trust me, I will save you and give you eternal life.

so I am not sure why you would think that this could ever be lost.

Would that not put the work, or responsibility on us, and Not God, the very same God who said he would never let us go. Would leave the whole flock to go get us and bring us back if we left. Etc etc...

We cannot be sinless.

However;

We can sin less.

I would agree with the term, we can not be sinless. I would change the second part. Till we WILL sin less however. Because as a child of God you will never revert to the same amount of sin you had before you repented..

Are you saying that all believers are "in Christ" so in that sense, all believers are perfect? I've heard other people use this verse to teach sinless perfection in the flesh.

That truth seems to cause alot of it..lol
That God does not give us the power to establish our oun salvation is a fact that people just can't seem to comprehend. They forget about loving God, about serving God, and even about learning how to live in harmony with how God created the world they live in. All these are tossed out under the word "works".

Once people feel they have salvation they feel they need not learn anything else about the Lord who created them.

WHo? I hear this a lot. Yet I know no one in my 40 years following God who ever thought this..

I do not see this, nor have I done this.

People who are saved by God eternally desire to learn more about him, and understand, if God can save my eternal soul. What can he do for me here on earth.

Sadly I feel it is the workers who do not want to know more about God.. they do not understand his grace to begin with, so the foundation they have in thge knowledge of God is off base.. which makes everything else off base.

we should perhaps also keep in mind that not everyone who claims to be a true believer is. so, do we have a saved person who is struggling to overcome some sins, or do we have a person who says that they are a believer, but are really not?

since we may not be able to exactly identify which is which, we should tell them both Biblical truth, but not judge their standing with the Lord, since we do not really know that.

I agree, we are not not God, Only God knows a persons heart and if they are saved or not..

In the beginning Was the word... And the word was passed down from Generation to Generation The word was was also The Sacred Love Of our father who reins in Heaven hallowed be your name..

Thy Kingdom Done your will be Done for this day and the days to Come for ever more..

The question is which part Of the Word did ye recieve first.. for me it was God created us and God loves you.. so i looked and Found that God breathed life into us. so you can not be Born without spirit.. (GO FIGURE) its true that spirit Gives life..

So there for when God breathed life into adam and eve,,,,,,, God was breathing Spirit into adam and eve.. and i do believe God made more Adams and eves we Just havent dicovered missing Scripture yet..Hence the four species of humans...i call it the four corners of His Kingdom..

Now this is most certainly true That the spirit Gives life which is spirit whether it is spirit in a vessel a body or spirit without a body.. its still spirit so we all have spirit... the question is........ do all have his love allready tattoed on our hearts ?... I think so..

So what ever the words i believed in the beginning of my awakening.. they drew me To God so in this case only part of The word saved me... But i must Digest all of the word to strenghten me.. Not to spread false Doctrins that holy people are works based salvationists

May the lord bless you all greatly today :)

You dont have to. I have spoken with you long enough to see where your beliefs are largely held.

Again, more bloviating based upon ignorance....name my Calvinistic views and pull quotes to prove it...everyone of them.....

Our obedience does not earn our salvation, you are correct. HOWEVER, even though ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God, there are a group of people who will be saved- what is this group? Is it the Elect/Christians? No! But the group is within that group- The VERY Elect/Christians who believe AND obey till the very end.

So the group thats saved is the obedient group. Their obedience does not earn the Gift, but they will be the only group chosen by God to receive It.

"For if it is HARD for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?"

Yep...the minority that actually trust Jesus 100% as opposed to the many who blend faith and works....see Galatians 1 and 3...you peddle a works based false pseudo gospel that has no power and is double cursed!

My bible teaches eternal security based upon the faith and work of Jesus...he keeps his word and has promised...

a. Finish what he started
b. Not lose nothing
c. Never leave me nor forsake me
d. I am in the Father's hand, Jesus' hand and sealed with the spirit of promise unto the day of redemption
e. Raise me up in the last day
f. And by Paul's hand...Nothing shall separate me from the love of God and Jesus

It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe

He that believes on the Son is having everlasting life

He that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live!

Thanks anyway...I trust Jesus.....His word tells me I am born again of incorruptible seed and sealed for all eternity...

Would that be the Brothers and sisters you favor the most or would that be all and potential ? remember God does not show favoritism accept if you can be Humble as he favors this and resists the proud..:)
New American Standard Bible
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor;

King James Bible
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

Humans are a species, you are referring to race.
