Does God give you faith or tells you to have faith. See how many scriptures tells us to have faith.
I believe we are given a measure of faith. (Rom 12:3) And in accordance to that we exercise it when we chose to accept His forgiveness, grace and mercy.

I think that our perseverance and endurance is then to have an unwavering acceptance and trust in His finished work.

I think that we continually exercise our faith by thanking Him and making ourselves available to do the work within us that He promised to finish, through an indwelling presence of God in us.

I trust my God, to never leave me or forsake me, I trust my God in my sealed salvation, and I trust that His promise in me will be fulfilled. But God is the source of that, not me.

Amen...it is called the amour of God. The shield of Faith. Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.

Not implying that we cant pray to God to help strengthen our faith but asking is faith a human reaction or a God sent reaction within us to believe.

If faith isnt a human reaction then to me scriptures telling us to believe, repent, and have faith is redundant if God does it all.
Its not about God "doing it all", it's about what God has already done.

I trust in that, and then i can live in peace and be listening for Him if He might speak to me, to direct me, to guide me, to advise me. Its a personal relationship based on the completion of the inheritance, the deliverance of the New Covenant between me and my Lord.
A New Covenant, not like the Old, where he is not concerned with how many cows I have, or how much flour I have in my kneading bowl, but He is concerned with my heart and my Spirit.

You see I already have everything I need for life and godliness.

Roman 12:3 in context isnt speaking on salvation but on once we are part of the body of Christ we should serve within the current status of our renewing of mind. For example i should serve with what God has given me to use, to have faith in my walk. And not to serve as lets say a preacher because i am not at that level of faith yet. My mind isnt ready to take on that level of faith and responsibility.

So does this refer to faith to believe and be saved or to our ability and talent to serve in the faith? If it refers to faith to be saved, then are their "different measures" of salvation and condemnation? Furthermore, which is the context discussing, is it not the various ways and capacities to serve as Christians - not become Christians

Basically if it is different levels of condemnation and salvation then you are promoting the elect chosen belief held by Calvinism

I agree but you say relationship but you sound like you was saying God made me have faith and now i am forced to follow. As you never had free will and or lost free will once God elected you

Lets twist scripture to fit our belief why dont we? You use one scripture that is not even talking about saving faith against 100s saying to have faith and remain faithful.

Mailmandan we just agreed the other day faith was mans response to hearing the word. But now your disagreeing?

You are right about Rom 12:3 being after salvation.

I do not believe that we are forced to follow God. It is a choice that can be rejected. I do believe that God gives everyone the opportunity to make that choice at some time in their natural lives. And I think that without being given a measure of faith we would not be able to exercise that choice.

I agree except God doesnt force us with faith. But yes God does give people many chances to choose or deny him. And choosing to listen and surrender to the call is the act of faith on our part but your right faith would be pointless if we hadnt of heard of Jesus. So i sorta understand where your coming from because faith would be pointless if we had never heard Gods words. But still the choice to respond and believe to Gods calling is of man.

As long as we have salvation we will laugh at our disagreements in heaven.

Of course. I thinks its just a conviction of us to want to teach truth and lead people in the right direction. Im very hard on myself and always searching for truth in everyones words.

I believe that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
Romans 10
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[d] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Verse 8 is saying the message was already in the heart meaning they wasnt saved until they acted in faith and believed it to be true.

17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

In the very next verse contridicts your belief saying these people heard the message and all day long God held out his hands to them but they chose not to follow.
If your belief is true off of this verse then anyone who heard the message would act in faith and respond to it.

18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:

“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.”
19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,

“I will make you envious by those who are not a nation;
I will make you angry by a nation that has no understanding.”[j]
20 And Isaiah boldly says,

“I was found by those who did not seek me;
I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me.”[k]
21 But concerning Israel he says,

“All day long I have held out my hands
to a disobedient and obstinate people.”[l]

Not everybody wants to represent good that claims Jesus as Lord, and Jesus those that overcome shall see a reward, but if Jesus did it all for us,and we are saved and cannot fall, what is there to overcome, and the person at that one Church that does not overcome Jesus said, they will be blotted out of the book of life, which that would apply to all the Churches that Jesus said if they do not overcome.

If Jesus did it all for us,and there is no responsibility on our part, what is there to overcome, and Jesus said if they did not they would be blotted out of the book of life.Does it go along with this scripture, work out your own salvation, with fear and trembling, which means Jesus saves us,but then the responsibility is on is to maintain that salvation, and do right, for God said if you do not continue in His goodness, you will be cut off,but were a lot of people that claim Jesus as Lord saved at all,for did they properly repent, and properly turn from sins, not wanting to do them.
Very true and wise interpretation
