Lets say there is a company that gets alot of applications for a job. Because they get s9o many applicationsThey decide to use a computer to randomly select a certain number of people to interview. The people who were selected, were they selected because of chance, luck, or because of God?

What type of company? Who are the applicants? What type of computer? A mac! Right maxmac.
I am where I am today because of God. Sometimes the things that got me to where I am appear as chance and/or luck. But God put it altogether. Here I am. Not rich. Not popular. Just alive and secure in Him. Knowing what lies ahead of me in the end. And so many spiritual blessings. It's all God.

I think God does leave some things to chance (but keeps an eye on it just in case).
Many will say "it was God" for all good things happening, no matter how small, but, like I asked in another thread, was it also God who caused someone to stub their toe ?

There is no such thing as luck. That doesn't necessarily mean it is God's will. I don't think it was God's will for Hitler to rule over Germany, but I wouldn't call it luck, either.

I got called in for jury duty a few weeks ago. From the waiting room, I got called into a courtroom, sat for a couple of days, then was dismissed (never had to enter the jury box). Missed a couple of days of work for pretty much nothing, all a consequence of a computer randomly selecting juror ID numbers.
You can inject God into just about anything. Personally, I'd dub it chance. For those that would ask me, "What would you say to someone that says 'everything happens for a reason?'" I'd have to say, "This is not the coffee I ordered..."

Same difference. Back in the day, "chance" was synonymous with "providence." I'll use words like chance, but I truly believe God has control of all things. In fact, you have to have it all 'er nothin'. You cannot have a God that has control of some things if He doesn't have control of everything. It wouldn't work.
If you believe it is not chance and that god has control of all things, how come some people can commit sins like lust and viewing porn and still have good things happen in there life like they get the job they want, they have a beautiful wife and kids.
