Does not the bible say to labor that you at have to give to him that needs it?

Just asking.....
The Bible says work as if you are working for God.

Colossians 3:23-24New International Version (NIV)

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

18 But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, "Why put me to the test, you hypocrites?19 Show me the coin for the tax." And they brought him a denarius.20 And Jesus said to them, "Whose likeness and inscription is this?"21 They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.Matthew 22

New American Standard Bible
He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.

Have you taken any financial stewardship classes or learnt ways to reduce your debt? Maybe pray about how to cut your spending?
I'm good on it but thanks. This was just for me to do more for the Lord. He has got me on the right track. Again thanks

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5 NIV

What test is used in the bible to see if you are in faith?
Answer...Luke 16:9-13 Christians are tested with the least in the Kingdom of God which is money.

Considering what Jesus has said here (Luke 16:9-13 NKJV), I think it would be difficult to overstate the significance of this down to earth, practical teaching, that applies to everyone. If a person cannot be trusted with money, and in any capacity, Jesus plainly says, he cannot be trusted with Salvation, i.e., "true riches." In view of the seriousness of what is being said, we would do well to heed carefully.

In these passages (Luke 16:9-13), Jesus is saying that irrespective of how loudly and how often we profess our Godliness, if it does not show up in our practical, every day living, and especially in the matters of money, and our responsibility toward others, our profession is vain. This statement is plain and clear, if we are unfaithful in these things. "Who will commit to our trust the true riches?"

True riches in Luke 16 means spiritual matters.

I believe true riches are spiritual gifts and ministry within the Body of Christ, which I believe ALL mature Christians should have.

Not all are pastors, teachers or evangelist, but all have a role in the body of Christ.

We need prayer warriors, adminstrators, encouragers, hospitality and homeles ministries. We need people willing to care for orphans, visit prisoners in jail, widows after the death of their spouse and many more ways to show the love of God to others.

Didn't read your OP because the Title didn't sound like you?

The Title sounds too much like people focusing on the almighty dollar instead of the Almighty God....... :)

just saying

Lol. Still love you, my dancing elephant friend.

It's a good sermon. Just very long.

I DO firmly believe we are charged by God to be good stewards of ALL His creations, and ALL He bestows upon us!
