I don't think there is a set amount that God is going to throw out there. It is all about our heart and where we are with God.
Making money isn't an issue. It's the love of money that becomes an issue. If your spouse is placing God above everything including money then that's fine. You added at the end "hubby didn't spend time with God" , if he's more concerned about money than his relationship with God that's a problem.
where can i go that He is not? i spend time with God while i am working. He is with me even when i am asleep! and everywhere in the world, the world speaks against Christ.

if God had really spoken, would you be making a vague thread about the world doing what the world always does, everywhere in the world, and a random dollar amount?
if God had in fact spoken, would there be any doubt? would there be any ambiguity?
does salvation - salvation from the destruction of the wicked - depend on what a person does to earn money? does God destroy everyone who works at a widget factory, because, widgets?
what if in your heart you know that you should turn to Him and seek Him in everything that you do, and you turned that into "work less hours away from home" ?
and maybe it is good, to give up a higher salary so that you can actually spend more time with your family, because time is something that can only be spent once, and cannot be bought back once it is sold. but is that what's going on? what would actually be done with more time away from the 9-5? would it be spent on self?
now i'm going fishing. what's this really about?

People say bad things about God and Jesus everywhere, at work, at cafes, in the streets, on Facebook.
Does HE feel it is a problem? Is it just them talking generally about it, or is it harassment? (is so management should deal with it)

i mean, are you looking for reassurance about a decision you've already made in your heart?
because the OP loks like bread crumb trail to me:
a dollar amount: obviously, the love of money is the root of evil. so what are Christians going to say, "oh that's good money keep job we know nothing about" ?? nah, we will say, "life is not about money, and store up treasures in heaven" -- which is ambiguous because we know no detail about this. you can take w/e and reassure yourself in what you've already decided.
the world says bad things about Jesus: obviously, we love Jesus. what will Christians say, "that's fine the paycheck is what's important" ? but you know what, we're not going to say "heavens, go insulate yourself from every unkind word and make sure you never hear or see anything outside of church - in fact get a job vacuuming the sanctuary so you never have to leave the church building!!"
these statements sound like bait to me, if i'm a fish.
i don't know any facts.
all i know is husband makes a salary of X, and the world is still the world wherever it is you live, and you have "a feeling" of impending doom. those don't necessarily add up to "must quit job" -- there's a whole lot of unknown variables still out there.
i'm not trying to be "ill" here i'm just trying to fish out what this is really about, and of course, post being post, i'm doing it in a very blundering and insensitive way.

I think that too many times we try to project our own desires as something "God put on my heart", or "God told me..." when, in fact, it is simply US trying to do only what WE want to do.
If you think YOU should quit a job because of spiritual distraction, then you should do it. If you are trying to make your husband quit his job, to suit YOUR feelings, I think you should pray about it more, and let God work on your husband.... don't beat your husband up with "God told me you had to quit"...
In my experience, we should go with what our mind and heart tell us to do, because that is where the Holy Spirit speaks to us... I believe that God, through the Spirit, will "nudge" us in the right direction. Sometimes the nudge is pretty abrupt, sometimes it's more gentle..
All of that is predicated on our being in relationship with God, truly seeking Him, and trying to live in the light.

I was beginning to think that Christianity should be renamed to "feelings and intuition way of life", as I hear it to be so for so many Christians I am meeting/listening to.
It isn't new that there should be unpleasant people in the workforce. We can pray to the Lord to see if he wants us to find another job.
