When I put on make up it's usually just my eyes and lips. I don't glop on foundation like it's a mask and most women don't either.

I like make-up for the same reason I don't wear a burlap sack, I love color and playing around with fashion. Most of your complaints sound like you dislike women who wear make-up incorrectly. The correct classic way to wear make-up is to keep people guessing that you're wearing it.

If a person wants to wear makeup or what have you, it's his/her choice.

Personally I wear makeup on special occasions. How ever I know many folks due to skin issues that need to use make up to hide birthmarks, uneven skin tone, scars and or blotches. It gives them a sense of confidence that not everyone is staring at them. Sadly the Majority of the world is all about the looks and not whats inside.

The correct answer is YES.

Why?

Becuase it makes me want to vomit, that's why!

Whoever you are, woman or man, YOU DON'T NEED IT!

If you don't like the way you look, the worst thing you can do to yourself is put paint all over your face.

It's just so gross!!!!!!!

I hate the way lip gloss shines when the light hits it. I hate the way eye shadow leaks when it gets wet. I hate the way foundation comes off and you can see two different face colours. And I HATE fake nails! And I HATE the way all of this stuff smells! Its nauseating!!! HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE!

If you wear makeup, please tell me why you think you need it, and I'll tell you why you don't.

Sharp.
I don’t wear makeup.

Well, I wear mineral makeup, because I do feel it makes my complexion look better. It's not a major difference, but it gives me more confidence and makes me feel more put-together, in the same way that I feel put together when I wear clothes that are tailored to fit, rather than sweats. I like gloss, but generally only wear it for formal occasions, when you are expected to look more put-together. The same is generally true of eye shadow for me. I don't wear lipstick, because personally, I think it makes me look like a clown. I keep it basic with makeup, though I do wear a bit of eyeliner and mascara. And, generally, I have people tell me often that I have beautiful skin. I think that it's up to each person to do what makes them happy.

well heres the deal with this. its not that make up should be banned, its just that people need to control how much they use. if theres so much that it makes you look fake then thats gross, but if your covering up a pimple or putting on a little mascara just because, then theres no problem.

Haha, I'm reminded of some of the sorority girls on my university campus, who would wear it like a mask - they reminded me of porcelain dolls, only you knew it was just the makeup covering it - plus, they layered gloss really thick, and wore very sparkly eyeshadow. I'm not sure how they ever achieved that porcelain doll look with their foundation - whenever I wore liquid foundation, again, I looked like a clown, and it'd pretty much melt off my face by the end of the day. That's why I switched to mineral makeup - so much better!

I've always been curious about mineral makeup. I hate foundation but I sometimes have to use it to get rid of blotchiness. My skin is super sensitive (get this, I'm allergic to...SOAPS, certain makeup is the same). Does it feel lighter than liquid?

I don't see a problem with makeup. Other than the fact that some people put WAY too much on that they look like clowns. Makeup used in proportions should be completely fine. My makeup is practically gone by the end of the day so it is pretty much pointless. But I do like to leave the house feeling put together and organized but whatever lol :)

I'm with you on this one.

If someone lacks the confidence and wants to put it on, so be it. Personally, I wish the world wasn't so shallow that fakeup is almost a necesity. I don't judge for looks.

Those that don't wear or rarely do. Major props to you. I don't much care for it myself.

Lol I'm addicted to carmex like if I didn't have it I'd totally wig, I put it on all the time I even sleep with it on. :) Not really make up but it does make my lips all shinny. :) I don't like the caked on look but a bit of eyeshadow is pretty and bronze makes me look less sickly white. (I'm not single it's just I like this topic I hope it's ok if I post here. >.<)

They say: "makup enhances the better features of your face". I have to be honest. There are christians, and there are wannebe christians. The differance between them, is whether you follow the truth or the lies. So lets say; i go for pretending - to be something I am not! what is that?
Or I say; I want to enhance my better features, what is that but a lie? That is a to say: I am not sattiesfied with what God created, so let me fix upon it.
They say "enhance", but I say "lie". God says "I AM THAT I AM". God never pretends to be, never needs to show off in a enhanced way that he is not.
God IS truth, therefor he also says; I am that I am. The devil does not say so, but; "You can also be...." Be more delicate, be more seducive, be more perfect, be like God. I believe everyone want to appeare more perfect than we acctually are. But isnt that also the fallen nature of human? The bible says so! Look at the fariseers, what they were like. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness". The rich and mighty men and women, have allways been those showing off, in a way, to be admired, exalted and desired. So cannot the poor afford. Therefore; "the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are. Amen.

Yes, it is lighter, which works out well for me, living in Florida. I will never go back to the liquid stuff.

Hi Narn

Yes from that list I use shampoo. This is for cleanliness only and doesn't stay on my body (unless I forget to wash it out). I just can't stand the thought of having chemicals on my skin all day, yuk!!!

Thats weird.

No way should make up be banned.....but those who appose should be banned.... what is wrong with looking your best as the body ages and starts the dying process? No one likes looking like the living dead in public... hey if I had flawless skin and had color I probably wouldnt put any on but hey get real I am WHITE honey and I need some color... if you need it dab it on sister.
