"Makes me wonder when the pitch forks and burnings are going to begin?"

Makes me wonder when the prayer vigils and bible study are gonna begin with some members?

I know I and many others are already lifting many up in prayer and telling God "Forgive them Lord, and help me to forgive them too."

The 7 levels of apostacy

1. False teachers are not that bad
2. Sin is not really the problem
3. Wrong belief is the real evil
4. Hypocrites are everywhere and should be exposed
5. The liars and cheats deny their devilish deceptions
6. All the troubles in the world are at these fake righteous door
7. We should eliminate these evil people to make the world better

How does it feel, Peter? You got mad at what gb9 just said to you, yet you turn around and call him names. Predictable behavior from you, whether you admit it or not.. Every single one of your posts is filled with derisive words and insults, yet you call them "truth"..
you are in the top 5 of nice people on here, and yet he can't even get along with you.

I get why he gets ticked at me, I take his garbage, repackage it, and hand it back to him. no reason to insult you.

Thank you. :) It's because he thinks he's right and everyone else is wrong. He doesn't like hearing his beliefs may be erroneous..

no peter, I 100% believe the Gospel. you 60% do not teach it. that 60% is laughable.
There are 4 simple questions
1. Does God love us? Yes the cross says it all
2. What is our problem? Sin, rebellion.
3. What is our solution? Repentance, confession and faith in Jesus.
4. What is the fruit? Walking in obedience to the law of Christ.

And the core theme is love. The fruit of this relationship is victory over sin.

The problem is we are mainly emotional creatures bounded by an intellect which
tries to make sense of how we feel and what we need to do.

Jesus can unlock the door and bring healing and order to the heart, put things
in their proper place. If this is not done, then all the words will make no difference
or the best religious insights possible, because it is just a glossy coating on a flawed
empty life.

The key indicator of ones state in this world is does Jesus and His words warm your
heart or fill you with dread and condemnation? I want to encourage all those who
feel warmed by Christ, and encourage them to find life in his arms.

To those who feel dread and condemnation, why? Jesus is the Lord of life and hope,
the eternal giver of eternity and freedom. Search for Him before it is too late.

Now is this wrong? You want to say I do not know Christ, or truth or salvation.
Who are you to deny me such things? Or maybe you deny what most would call
christianity, while hiding behind your inflammatory words.

Peter, NO ONE here thinks or believes that God doesn't love us. We know what "our problem"is, and as far as I've seen, everyone here admits that they have sin. Likewise, we all have faith in God, we all confess our sins, and are remorseful (repentant) for them.. :)

Blue - please think a bit. If I am sharing the gospel and someone is saying
60% of what I am sharing is wrong, they do not believe the gospel.

You do know what 60% means over half of something is wrong.

you are not sharing THE Gospel. just your version of it, which, after a year or so of interacting with you, is about
60 % wrong.

the Gospel is this-believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. you say that, then keep adding stuff.

Tozer was one of the great writers in the last century.

The trend in the modern day church wants only Jesus as Saviour, but could not care less in having Him as Lord.

And sadly we still have a part of the church which says they want him as a savior. But only if they earn it..

As I said they go from one extreme to another.

The licentious calls grace people legalist's, because we confront them with their sin issues,

Legalist's call Grace people licentious, because they claim they will never live up to Gods standard.

Satan looks down and laughs at how gullible we are.. and how easy it was for him to fool us.. to keep us from truth.

Isn't much love anywhere in THIS forum... Don't know why I bother coming in here. It's the most hate-filled, evil, contentious forum I've ever seen..
Look at the NT church,, That is one thing which proves to me God is real and his salvation is real. Because it is attacked so much. Mostly by other people who call themselves christian.

blue - In all humbleness I want people to show me my errors. Just stating a point of
view is not a discussion or a point. I am here to learn as much as anybody, but emotional
bias and hurt pasts make a very bad guidance to theology or faith.

Jesus has a simple theology.
You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
Matt 7:5

The plank in our own eyes is our own sin and impurity.
Purify ourselves through repentance, confession and seeking the Lord.
Forgiving others and holding nothing back is a key place.

When we find the place of purity, then we can see the Lord and start to
see others as they actually are and not what we think are the issues.

Now this is not a belief approach, this is a spiritual reality, if you want to live
in the Kingdom start to be like a child of God and get right with God.

So your easy believism gospel is what Christ died to bring us into.
Unfortunately I cannot count you as a brother.

If you actually read the bible you would know what I am talking about.
I suggest you get serious with God and read colossians

We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God
Col 1:9-10

Ask God to bring something new to you, and see what happens.

That's just the thing. For a rather long time now, people HAVE tried to show you your errors. But you just respond back with subtle inferences and insults. Can you accept that SOME of what you believe, may in fact not be entirely correct? I've seen your posts not only on this thread, but several others as well, and it's always the same old back and forth between other members and you.. Please answer these questions for me..

1. Is our salvation based on works, or is it based on Jesus' sacrifice on the cross?

2. Do you believe that we MUST do works to gain, and/ or keep salvation?

3. If we DON'T do works, do we lose salvation?

4. Is it enough to believe in Jesus, or to have faith in Him? Or must we add works into the mix?

Our salvation is based upon repentance, confession and faith in Christ through the cross.
2. Do you believe that we MUST do works to gain, and/ or keep salvation?
To keep salvation, or fellowship with Christ you must keep faith in Him.
3. If we DON'T do works, do we lose salvation?
Works are the fruit of the work of Christ in our hearts.
We loose salvation because we loose faith in Christ
4. Is it enough to believe in Jesus, or to have faith in Him? Or must we add works into the mix?
To believe in Christ is to become one with Him in heart, mind and soul.
As Christ would help the needy, so will we, as Christ is stirred to show love
and care so do we.

You cannot separate knowing Christ from the love He brings to our hears
and its effects. You do not prove you know Christ, because you know
Christ these things will happen. Believe and experience it.

Here is another thing I will point out about you. In several of your posts, you subtly insult people. EG has nothing to do with this, yet you're dragging him into it. God never said to insult your enemies. :/ He said to love them, but IMO you ain't showing ANY of Christ's love to them at all...

I would like to see my quote where I said I was quite happy anyone is going to hell and specifically the one who stated it....!

What I find amazing is that fact these points I have made many times
over many threads. Nothing changes, yet each time people forget or worse
lie about what I believe and say.

I went on a parenting course and a point they made, to love your child you do this.
Parents love their children, that is the natural response.
How they balance love with correction is often the issue.

To know Christ is to love Him. To be friends with Him we obey because He is our
Lord and Saviour, why would we not.

What you will discover is in most peoples lives they do not know what intimacy
and friendship really is. To a lot it is just obligations rather than a sharing of
everything you are with another.

Our relationship with God goes much deeper because He knows us and made
us. I cannot explain how he moves my heart, and though I love my wife, it
is much deeper with the Lord. He is profound, my Saviour and my King.
Each day He blesses me and gives me strength, even through these odd
interactions here on cc. I could write a book just pulling together the words.
lol.
