Female pastors, ok or not?

Honestly, they should just go away. If they stay, they will be a disruption and destructive spirit within the Congregation. Plenty of sexist Congregations out there they can join.
Is it OK with male pastors
- who are divorced?
- who mix politics and religion?
- who are either very loving but have little knowledge, or have great knowledge but little love?
If it makes you feel uncomfortable, it is better to find another church, than to end up sitting in that church irritating over the issue
Abuses of the one does not legitimize the other nor does it overturn the prohibition.
With all that unbiblical and slanderous diatribe you've offered it appears you have much more to worry about than those who know the biblical office of pastor is for males only.
I encourage you to be an example of the flock and the above is not any kind of an example to be followed. Not to mention the embracing of unbiblical doctrine.
A heavy dose of Scripture, reflection, prayer, and repentance should help you immensely.

Why do you see it as how you explained it? It is in scripture and you know something, my wife agrees that women shouldn't be pastors. Is she sexist?

As for getting into some long, involved debate about this, it would just be silly. There are hundreds, if not thousands of Threads here concerning this issue.
Those who deny that God can use who He will to do what He wills, will never change, and those of us who believe He can and DOES use who He will to do what He wills will never change either.

[/FONT]based on the word used here, the word for pastor literally means shepherd, and when talking about non shepherds, is metaphorically described as overseer, director, manager, presiding officer (from Strong's)
In another thread someone cited preacher (which is often conflated with pastor) as someone who is a herald messenger. A different word is used there.

I will say this: my wife teaches me much, if I'm humble enough to see it, She has educated our children and had a direct role in shaping their future and by extension, our community. so as it is true that leadership in an ordered assembly of believers does not include women in direct positions of leadership, the role of women in any assemble is both needful and of great value.
Consider this: the priest in biblical times each had wives... the pastors of today who are in positions of high exposure ministry either in apologetics or otherwise most of them have wives as well. Deborah was actually a judge in Israel.
the Women's role in marriage is reflected in the relation between Messiah and the church. the wife is mans helpmeet, not only helper... there is a very distinct difference between the two (do a word study in genesis) and men who miss this point rob themselves, their marriage and even their ministry of an amazing blessing..

I've read Galatians and when I get time will re-read it. Yes God can use women to be teachers but not a leadership role as a pastor. I would even say women can be used as evangelists or sunday school teachers.

The two most common scriptures used is about wives not exerting authority over their husbands. Paul clearly say husbands must love their wives and wives must RESPECT and SUBMIT to their husbands.
Titus talks about asking their husbands at home.Timothy talks about childbearing directly after telling the woman to submit to the man.
It doesn't make sense that it referee to women teaching, preaching or in general speaking in church.
We know the early church had prophetess and evangelist speaking in the church.
Those facts should make one question if the reading of those two scriptures are wrong.
The next scripture is 1 Timothy 3 about bishops and deacons, i can address in my next post.

I love how when someone disagrees they usually throw out "you are reading it out of context" statement. That seems to be the go to reason that someone doesn't understand something in scripture. I find it kinda funny so just saying
You're right about seeing past the physical and seeing by the spirit in order to see what God is doing.
However you have not seen by the spirit, what God was doing when he made men men, and made women women.
Therefore you can only use worldly paradigms to accuse believers in this case, because the world is also blind to what God was doing, and perceives the gender divide in a carnal way... so they try to blot out gender to end the divide. You know some people here are wrong, but you are correcting them with another wrong. God didn't give you that stick you're poking with. bless you brother
