Women get to minister in all the churches:

1. they are leaders in fund raising

2. They are in charge of the church kitchen & dining hall.

3. They are in charge of the nursery

4. They are the church Secretary/ treasurer & watches over all the money.

5. They are the church janitor.

They minister directly to the pastor & board: They clean their offices, watch their kids, raise money for them, keeps track of their money, writes their checks, cooks their food, & cleans up after them.

I other words, they can minister all they want as long as they clean up their mess, writes them a check, babysits their kids, & gets them a sammich.

All believers are to serve (deacon or deaconess) in whatever capacity God calls them. No one is excluded.

The gifting of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor teacher are given to men to serve the Body of Christ. These giftings from men teach the rest of us how to serve one another and to share the gospel with the lost.

We all can get out there and share the Gospel of Christ, the Gospel of the Kingdom without being a pastor or leader in the church.

The bible tells the older women to teach the young women how to love their husbands. It doesn't tell them to become a pastor and teach/lead the congregation.

Paul's #1 qualification of leadership is that you be a man. We have to use God's word and not culture.

God created man first and then the woman was created from Adam's rib. No amount of arguing will change that fact. I'm sure some are already preaching that Eve was created first, but how do we know? We know from the scriptures.

Just like we know from the scriptures that God chose man to lead. All the amount of arguing doesn't change the fact that God's word teaches that men are to be chosen as pastor and not women.

Why can't we just accept what scripture teaches. Qualification #1.......are you a man?

It is clear that there are specific roles and positions given by God, it it may be possible that he intended for man to be in the position to lead his flock as often times in the bible the main characters that God used for his grand design was a man such as Abraham David Joseph Moses ect. However this is not to say that he will not use women in the same manner, he calls all of us to action but if a man refuses the call he will use someone who accept it even if it's women.

I wouldn't make the mistake of putting God in a box or making him out to be sexist

It gets ridiculous, God through Paul told the church that the men are to do the leading, simple and to the point.
Id appreciate if you read the stats in my post and re-think your position. May I ask,do you attend church weekly,do you attend week day services? If you do you are in the minority for men. And since men are not attending church, who is left to lead? Do we close the doors? Read the stats and see if the argument doesn't change.

Not only am I not offended, I totally agree. Jesus gave us but 2 commandments;
Love the Lord your god and your neighbor as yourself.

[h=3]The Greatest Commandment[/h][SUP]34 [/SUP]Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. [SUP]35 [/SUP]One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: [SUP]36 [/SUP]“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[SUP][c][/SUP] [SUP]38 [/SUP]This is the first and greatest commandment. [SUP]39 [/SUP]And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[SUP][d][/SUP] [SUP]40 [/SUP]All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Both Jesus and Paul knew that rules and requirements were just to get you seriously engaged with the need for grace and mercy; they were never an end in themselves.

The New Testaments is not a book of commandments they are examples and guides...
Love fulfils ALL THE LAW period. It is people trying to create rules and regulations
Christ came to free us from all those rules..so now everyone wants to pile on hundreds more..
This is missing the point of Jesus dying on the cross.

Hi Kayla,

The problem I see with that is using it to support women pastors. And before I say anything else, yes I love you! :)

Every church I've been in have plenty of men. They may be dwindling, but there's still plenty in every church I've attended, even those away from home.

If it became the case where you couldn't find a church with a male pastor, I would find fellow believers and fellowship at home.

Actually there are many home churches that have sprung up for various reasons. I think that will be our future when persecution comes to America.

For me the point is that we try to stay true to scripture. Sure, every once in a while God chose a woman such as Deborah. But it was the exception and not the rule. If God can't find a Godly man, He chose a Godly woman.

The problem I see with many who support female pastors is that it becomes a rule instead of an exception.

Those who support this are saying God is in full support of female pastors and that there's no scriptures to say that women are not to be pastors.

They are changing God's word. To me that's serious. If you can change the truth of God's word in one area, it becomes easy to change it in other areas as well.

We should always obey the scriptures first. Qualification #1......you must be a male.

Oh, so truth becomes out-dated.

It doesn't matter if it's the year 3900. Truth is truth back in 1900 as it was in the Garden of Eden, and as it is now. Truth is immutable because it comes from God who is - Scriptures are clear, God has decreed men to be pastors, not women.

We can disagree and still be sisters in the Lord.I think we agree on quite a lot.I dont even agree with my family on everything!

Quote "Every church I've been in have plenty of men. They may be dwindling, but there's still plenty in every church I've attended, even those away from home."

Ive been in hundreds of churches and denominations and I can tell you thats not the case in many, many churches in Canada and the US. And the few men I did see attending were older men.

Quote "

Yes but the problem with that is it doesn't minister to the youth and the little ones.Church is,or should be where the family is fed. Home meetings are fine but not the same as church and reaching the lost. Though it seems churches are very ineffective at even that now days.I do not believe God would have us close church doors because many men are not being faithful to church.

Quote "
If God can't find a Godly man, He chose a Godly woman. "

And such is the case now days.If God can use a donkey to preach, surely he can use a woman.

I have female pastors in my family and I dont have an issue with it. Ive posted before on why I feel this way. But irregardless of that when we look at the stats women are running the church because men are not attending. To say "well they can run everything but not be in the pulpit" is ridiculous to me. Oh oh, we kind of disagree... Its ok,we agree on just about everything else. But we both agree complaining isn't getting the job done. What do we do when men wont attend and women are the only ones left? I attend a church where at least 80% are elder saints. They are passing on to glory and no one is left to take up the torch. The church refuses to wake up because they are asleep in the light. I could write forever on these issues.

Maybe its time to make the church suitable for men again...?

Instead of throwing in the stats and making the church even more "for females" because of it... it will not solve the problem "where are men".

Just my opinion.
