Hopefully he is but only God truly knows. Normally in most cases when celebrities speak out they are silenced by their demonic rulers. So it will be interesting if he continues to proclaim the Lord and his word.

Yep agree only God knows. Yeah being a celebrity really puts you in a hot spot when it comes to speaking against the norm. Kevin Sorbo felt the wrath of the elite when he came out as a Christian.

MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY Just ‘CAME OUT OF THE CLOSET’, But Will It HURT His Career?

I never knew this about him. Granted it doesn't actually make him a Christian but it is a nice thought that there are actors who profess God and the Bible.
He didn't just come out of the closet.
I've know for years!

In fact, he's done some movies that I wonder about.
But that's between him and God.

There's maturity about Christianity too. Plus we have to wait on God to tell us what He wants from us.
Just because one Christian understands something, doesn't mean we all do.
God's timing is not our timing.

I Always think it's great when someone so well known lets it be known that they're Christian. They're taking a big change because they live in Unholywood.

I don't know how we can cast a question mark upon or doubt anyone who claims to be Christian no matter what they believe, do, preach, how they live, or what their gospel is.

Today it's anything goes, and there is no standard of measure of truth or error in claiming Christianity no matter the belief. Isn't it wonderful!? Even Mormon's, JW's, Westboro types, Jim Jones types, Branch Davidian, Scientology, Emergent church, Wof, Prosperity gospel, Unification Church, The Family, Black Hebrew Israelites, the INC. It's all good, not holds barred! ;)

Never knew he has stated his beliefs before. That is good to know cause I actually like him as an actor. Thanks for the info

I agree. I was just really surprised because I've never seen anything with him stating it before. I'm just happy celebrities are coming out and professing it.

We've heard this in the past as well. For him to make the statements he did, we will see where that leads.

Wow, when did this blessed event occur? In the very recent past you went ballistic when others showed the errors of false gospels and used Scripture out of context to try and bolster your fallacy. Or, are you saying and agreeing "anything goes" and it doesn't matter as in my sarcastic laden response?

I don't think I've ever gone ballistic. I'm actually a very calm person so not sure where you get that off of me typing. I was actually agreeing with your second paragraph that in todays standards anything goes. I don't agree just because someone professes they are something that it makes it true. There are plenty of people who profess Christianity and their lifestyle doesn't align with it; or their doctrine.

And the list continues to include Baptists, Pentecostals charismatics, catholics, Weslyens, Reformed. All are sects and wrong in someone else's eyes.

There are some Christian actors and there are some that are taking their own way of walking with the Lord. We'll let the Lord decide who are His and who aren't and how they are to walk with Him in their own life.

Us "Christians" love to blast those that are not doing what "we are doing" and think if they don't believe exactly like I do - they are heretics and need to be publicly insulted....

I put Dorito's on my turkey sandwiches. If you don't do this then you are wrong :) Is that what you are saying?

Numerous actors have proclaimed to be Christians. Stephen Baldwin. Chris Pratt. Denzel Washington for starters.

Evidently Christians have their own little closet? I thought it was prayer rooms, but Hey what do I know?

Kind of a bummer when Legalistic sarcasm backfires in your face, isn't it? LOL

I'd say that Denzel really is one. He speaks freely of his faith in interviews.
And I believe he tries to be very careful with the roles he chooses.

The Book of Eli was interesting.
The Preacher's Wife
and others.

I believe you have your doctrine upside down.
You must be on the wide path...

I believe the correct doctrine is to dip potatoe chips into soft vanilla ice-cream.
That will certainly get you to heaven...
