A problem of truth

"I am the way, the truth and the Life, no man comes to the father but by me."

Jesus was profound when he said this.
He is saying everything has to be sort out and found to be true, and tested.

It is by doing this you will find the truth in Him.
Also.

Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

I point this out concerning the people that believe OSAS that they are chosen, and go against those who say abstain from sin,and sin does affect our relationship with God.

If those people who oppose OSAS are not chosen, that God does not work in their life, then how do they believe Jesus is Lord and Savior, that He is God manifest in the flesh, and that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

They would never come to that conclusion to accept it unless God was working in their life,so how did they do it.

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

We have a choice, and many are called,so God is working in their life for them to be able to say Jesus is Lord and Savior, and God manifest in the flesh, and Christ the Son of the living God,but few are chosen.

So how do the OSAS know they were chosen, and how can they say God is not working in the lives of those that oppose them,if they say those things concerning Jesus, and follow Him as Lord and Savior.

1Jn 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God.

The people that oppose OSAS how did they come to these truths concerning Jesus, unless God is working in their life.

1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jn 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Oh the wicked flesh.
Right? Oh the wicked flesh that believes in self-achieved salvation in helping out a weakling god incapable of doing it himself. The Scriptures these oppose and mangle are innumerous all the while proclaiming their own self-righteousness while looking upon all others Luke 18:11 style.

Judas ate at the meal and then did what most cake takers do... he chucked it right back at him by showing no gratitude..
You are the cake taker in these scenarios. It would have been faster for you to say, yes, you are right, but those words do not seem to be part of your vocabulary.

I have to apologise for something.
Two ideas.
1 60% of what you say is wrong
2 apostasy

To be apostate one has to deny a fundamental Christian belief.
To say someone is just wrong, or you do not like them, or their style
is wrong, is just opposing them personally. To add a label to it again is
just personal.

So logically to say 60% of my faith is error is actually just a slander or personal
attack because it has no real content or bite. Unless it is factual it is just an emotional
response, no more.

I had an interaction months ago where it was just emotional. Now my answer then was the
the same as now, we are commanded to love each other. If you cannot do this from your
heart, it is you who have the problem.

So I challenge you simply, do you love me? I am really a stranger to you, maybe annoying, maybe
a bit crazy, maybe slightly inappropriate, too blunt, too strong, not sensitive enough, but sincerely
I love you and if I could serve you I would, and in sharing I hope I am.

It struck me about Jesus, I assumed I would love Him, and then I realised if anything I saw in another
stopped me from loving them, I have failed, I need to change.

I think some here suffer from this but dress it up in faith. So understand my friend walking with Christ
is brutally honest, so I have to love you for that is loving Christ, and in the Lord you back to me.

This makes me realize I have some things I need to resolve, and obligations I need to meet.
Thank you my friends, you are a blessing to me, deeper than you can imagine, Praise the Lord.

Wow this thread has been a blessing to me. Full of wisdom from ForthAngel and the others regarding God's absolute sovereign power and, at the same time, about our absolute free will.

It still amazes me just how awesome God Is.
His immense power shown through His immense love by Jesus.

I'm thankful that God did not save me based on my behavior but that He already chose me even before I existed.

In my opinion, pre-election does not give God a bad image, it's just man trying to sit on the judgment seat of good and evil.

People see evil in the world and blame it on God, proves this.
The existence of evil doesn't make God unjust, it shows that God values love, forgiveness over punishment.

If the world today were judged, no one would indeed be suffering, no evil would exist, but no one would be alive either because all would be condemned to hell.

People are happy, alive, and prospering despite that this is a fallen world, I believe that's what's truly amazing.

And it's because of Jesus(God's love).

The gospels again are indeed true. Salvation is a gift, just like everything else that is good.

God provides, man receives.

Confusion

Saying we are saved because we have faith in Christ, but our behaviour does
not matter or our later unbelief, is what some hold to.

The question is, do you?

It is ironic to say this is a lie, because it denies the integrity of the person calling
this a lie. Do you think this is how you witness or argue or prove points.

Broken logic. We can believe contradictory things and not realise it because the
idea has not been resolved or worked through. So before you call something a
lie, work it through.

It is a kind of brain washing, but it helps us belong to a group. I have seen it in action.
There is always a degree of trust when we build new frameworks of faith.

A cousin of mine was a Muslim who I challenged over the phrase the comforter will
come and teach you about God. They say this is Mo. I said it is obviously the Holy
Spirit. He looked at me and said he would go and ask his teacher.
He had delegated his thought process to another. This is not Christs way, God is
our teacher and authority.

So please if you love Christ look at this logical link. Behaviour matters, that is the
gospel and the fruit of Christ in our lives is a righteous walk, or at least our desire
to walk as Christ walked. To deny this is to deny the faith.

When we meet Christ we hope to be like Him. Go to the word and find out, because
your eternity depends on you knowing this. There is no other way to God except
by seeing we need to be like Christ. We can only achieve this by faith, the cross and
repentance.

If you feel any animosity to me in saying this, you have some serious spiritual
issues, because these are the Lords words, not mine. Understand no matter
your history, or what your feelings tell you this is our God.

We are called to bow before Him with a contrite and repentant heart in faith,
Amen. Hallelujah.

Saying we are saved because we have faith in Christ, but our behaviour does
not matter or our later unbelief, is what some hold to.
Did God save me because of my behavior?
-No.
Does God continue to save me apart from my behavior?
-Yes.

Jesus is THE GOOD SHEPHERD for a reason.
I'm not saved based on my behavior I'm saved because of JESUS' INNOCENT BLOOD.

When I ask for forgiveness does God take into account my works?
-God looks at the Blood of Jesus on which I put my faith into.

I don't feel any animosity from you but that is my belief. You can judge me based on my belief and that's up to you but my salvation doesn't rest on you does it?

My salvation is on Jesus, hence my faith is on His finished work.

When we meet Christ we hope to be like Him. Go to the word and find out, because

Right! We are called to bow and give thanks because life eternal is a gift. Eternity depends on Jesus' finished work because if not then everything would be nothing.

God is God. God is absolute power, life, love and truth.
Man (me) dependent on God, thereby anything I have was provided by God.

Let me ask you, does the good works you so often preach does it come from you or from God?
Does the love you have for God does it come from you or does it come from God?

Please answer plainly.
