What part of the statement:
When you judge another person's salvation...you have fallen for one of Satan's tricks..
Is unclear PeterJens?
Referee? Is this a game to you then?
I understand the error is judging someones faith, I would put forward the facts of the gospel
and let God convict or encourage as He deems fit.

My question was why you seem to defend people who question my faith position and
experience? Maybe you actually agree with them but are too timid to come out with it!
You have asked me some simpleton questions, which you know the answers to and what
I will reply, so it makes me wonder why you pursue such approaches.

I had a paranoid pastor, who because I supported and helped a man who was not theologically
that sound but needed help, I was the spawn of satan. Thinking about it I approach cc in a
similar way, putting out ideas, and observations, not because they are sound or heretical, but
just reactions. Now this throws people who want a black and white view on people and where
they are, rather than this is voyage of discovery in the love of Christ. Amen.

Peter, if you are not linked to a bleeding Christ, then who or what ARE you linked to? Because if a person doesn't have Christ's blood shed for them, then they have nothing and are not saved..

Maybe MMD's picture just shows a truth you don't want to accept? That Christ DID bleed and that we ARE "linked to a bleeding Christ"..

Just wondering. :)

Blue - Sorry, I just cannot explain what is going on, because it is not something
you understand.

Do you know my statement of faith? Did you read it?
So if you can understand this you should know what Christs blood shed for me means.

How is your bible reading going?

Ariel - I would be happy not to be regarded as a legalist, but after being told this for
years, and none of the main accusers changing their tune, it is not a straw man but
their conviction. Or maybe you mean something else, because I should never make
assumptions, lol, or so you keep telling me. Mind you an assumption is without evidence,
and mmd provides plenty of evidence.
That he thinks you a Legalist?

Yesterday, Fran said I believed in cheap grace.

Does that make it true?

We can't control other people's behaviors. We can control how we respond to what is said to and about us.

God tells us what heavenly wisdom looks like.

I know we have spoken of these verses before:

James 3
17But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

*****

I don't make peace because I am a peaceful person.

I can fight with the best of them....still need to find time to get back at Mcgee (haha thought I forgot didn't you, don't worry..got a pie with your name on it)...

Back on subject.., you are going to have to move past your feelings of hurt and see the bigger picture and what is being said and asked of you.

Folks don't always word things sweet and candy like..,that is not love or heavenly wisdom.

Love is wanting folks to know God's truth even if it hurts their feelings.

****

Seeing past the name calling and labeling
...I see two main positions.

1. Folks want others to be secure in Christ and have Him alone as their foundation. They want others to enter Jesus Sabbath rest. They do this out of Love for those who are weary and discouraged. Those folks who tried to run but really just need a break.

2. These folks are disgusted by the sinful world and want folks to be called out and set apart as God's holy people. They want folks to be a light unto others and actively seek sanctification. Their goal is to motivate people to walk with God and do good works for His Glory. They are the cheerleaders for those running the race. They speak to those who have rested and might be afraid to walk with God or feel unworthy to be a part of God's team. They too speak out of Love.

Then I see a third group, but we aren't suppose to talk about them.

I don't think you are the spawn of Satan PeterJens. If I did,i would tell you.

I am not that shy or timid.

I have to do some chores.
.I will tell you about the third group of y'all really want to,know.

Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time typing,

Please stop deflecting. Yes, I read your statement of faith, however it says NOTHING about why you don't feel linked to a bleeding Christ.. And if you refuse to explain what you mean, how are any of us supposed to understand?

My bible reading is on it's usual course of off and on..

We interrupt this message for a slight refreshment break..................:)......................

Matthew 7:3-5 New International Version (NIV)

“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Alrighty then .....We return you to your regularly scheduled programming.....>

So, remind me; what is it each is trying to offer in Gods economy here? The simple titles of which...are?

By the way, understanding God's Agape love and believing His promises to always be there for me is fundamental to my faith and my walk with Him. It's His love that allows me to love others. It's His forgiveness and grace that allows me to give and forgive others even when they never say sorry or keep lashing out at me with their misconceptions and lies about who I am and what I believe.

So yes, eternal security is rooted in Agape love and if not understood and accepted leaves people open to attacks from Satan. People who don't understand this teaching have within their minds spiritual strongholds that war against God's wisdom and grace.

I pray daily that God will help them tear those strongholds down and they find His peace and love and rest,
Amen that you feel secure in the cross and Christs love for you, so do I.
I do not express it in the theological way you do.

I just wonder why you think a theological formula changes the perception of the reality
of knowing the cross keeps us secure in the Father.

I do not feel secure in my wifes love because we got married but because we love each
other and work within that love. The promises help remind us of the choice and commitment
we made, but it is the love that keeps us together.

A lot of people know the words but not the love. I would rejoice forever if lots more knew
the love but not how theologically to express it in one particular way.

It is why I found a challenge from doctrine bound believers so strange, as if this spoke
of the heart, when very often it is the heart that speaks to doctrine, and how people use
doctrine shows what their hearts are full of. Doctrine to condemn oneself and others is
a legalistic mindset, doctrine to show God loves us and desires we express this is our
walk is the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

I just saw how this can be implemented. If the law is made so onerous only condemnation
results, this is legalism, placing burdens on people to bring failure and condemnation, while
declaring the law and love as it is, brings freedom because the reality they are righteous and
can walk in the freedom of the Holy Spirit has actually arrived, Amen.

tell you if I agree.

Blue, Hi, I was curious why you state it a bleeding Christ and not simply that we need to travel thru the blood of Christ (and our own for that matter with Him), to the resurrected life? Is there some significance to the way you state that over my way?

And secondly, is your on again off again Bible reading something you are comfortable with or is it something you wouldn't mind gaining ground in? I am just wanting to get to know you better is all....I've always only wanted to get to know you better. Smile.I hope you know that about me more now.:)..

Please stop deflecting.
So many claim this, when actually out of 10 possible answers to a question, unless
you hit the one they want ( without explaining this ) you are deflecting. This is where
trust and understanding between two people is necessary, which is often clearly lacking here
lol.

It is when two bright people can answer each others sentences. Then they do not have to
say much. In this environment, we are not even close to this level of understanding...
so spell it out, or just accept whats given as a sincere reasonable response, unless they are
just being pains in the neck, which some are most certainly determined to be. lol :(:)

WHY am I a liar just because I don't agree with you?

Could you explain that one to me again.

Thanks.
You are a liar because you lie. You have had some of your lies pointed out to you. Now please stop feigning ignorance on this topic. Gee, thanks so much.

Also, I hope you do not believe you are an example to others on how to be loving. On top of how abusive and nasty you are, as well as dishonest and hypocritical, we would have to add delusional. Can you handle the truth, little Frannie?

Oops, you already are delusional. You think people do not have the right to determine what is true. Frankie, you are very deceived and you seek to deceive. That is what makes you a liar.

In a previous post, in response to the picture of Jesus that MMD posted, Peter said that he and others who he knows, would never be linked to a bleeding Christ. His statement makes no sense to me, so I'm trying to get him to clarify it, but as usual he just sidesteps the question. :/

I would love to "gain ground" in reading my bible.. IF I can ever get my mind focused on it for more than two minutes..

I'm asking WHY you don't feel linked to a bleeding Christ, since obviously you believe he bled and died for our sins, as you just stated here.. Now can you please just answer the question? :)

PeterJens....this following statement is a assumption...

I just wonder why you think a theological formula changes the perception of the reality
of knowing the cross keeps us secure in the Father.
you make a lot of them about me and others. After a while some folks get annoyed.

God has taught me to look past how people say things to the message people mean to convey.

Basically you down play theology and doctrine because you aren't good at it and don't understand all the words.

I didn't understand it either but God showed me the need to learn in order to have intelligent conversations with others without being misunderstood.

If you are okay being misunderstood and like fighting and bickering.,you can continue to write off the need to learn sound doctrine (and the vocabulary that goes with it) and theology.

However if you want to be able to do the things God is calling you to do (like go back into the mission field) then you should make the effort to learn others langauge and answer the questions asked..instead of reacting to the manner they are asked.

I don't feel linked to a bleeding Jesus.

I am linked to a King upon His heavenly throne in His resurrected body.

However I understood the post to represent how we are justified by Jesus which is a free gift and can't be earned,

She wants to know if you can relate to a crucified Jesus?

She is asking you to describe the Jesus you believe in.

Maybe his misspoke and doesn't want to admit that he could have expressed himself differently yesterday?

By his response today it is obvious that he does feel linked to a bleeding Jesus.

So I don't know what you want him to say, Blue.

You better believe I wouldn't call God's grace cheap.

YOU call it cheap, by cheapening what He has done for you and by saying that YOU are not required to do anything in return.
I still have NEVER heard you state this spiritual truth.
You are deaf and blind. So what do you expect to see or hear?
