Folks, one does not even have to get into the false doctrines taught by WOF, LOOK AT THEIR LIFESTYLE! Follow the money trail, they are after the things that this world has to offer, an exalted position above others, and the pleasurable things money can buy, just exactly the opposite of the disciples of Christ in the bible. Think please, the apostles had huge amounts of money laid at their feet, Peter could have traveled around to check on all the churches in a gold chariot with six white horses pulling it. Why did he not do that?...BECAUSE IT WAS NOT EVEN IN HIS HEART. Folks lets get serious, the Holy Spirit would never led a Christian to acquire riches by preaching the gospel. WOF folks are led by something, however never would the Spirit led a person to tell people to give till it hurts and then take the money and buy for their self a 20 million dollar plane. This is just common sense.
All those jets and mansions they bought off the bloodied and beaten souls of the poor just means they are more blessed and are "God's anointed ones".

I came across this guy who preached the WOF message and ended up leaving it.

It comes with the basic approach and its failure in a punchy testimony

So many people hate education, because it exposes the weakness of their doctrines. But, if their doctrine is true, it will stand up to any amount of scrutiny.

The problem is that Word Faith is NOT true, and its devotees are helpless to defend an doctrine which cannot be defended.

And then the slander and malice start.

Start with the Word Faith lie, then when it is confronted fairly and biblically that it is patently wrong, then ad hominem attacks. Right, anyone with an education to see through the false theology, must therefore not have the Holy Spirit.

Which is basically saying they are not saved! Because without the Holy Spirit, we are not saved. Now, there are people on this thread I totally disagree with. I have shown over and over scripturally why they are wrong, and begged for them to refute me. But, I have not resorted to saying any one of them is not saved. Misled, deceived, certainly, but I do believe there are people who know Christ, but have been led astray. I know they are not well educated, and by that I mean - having read and studied the Bible on their own, but to slander them and say they are not saved? That is horrible.

The fact is, we need both the Holy Spirit and education. For some, that is the steady and dedicated study of the Scriptures on their own. Reading the Bible through over and over simply would blast this false Word Faith doctrine to bits! No need to go to seminary. For me personally, and a few others, God has called us to really dig deep into the word, the original languages and to teach the truth.

Now, again, if someone doesn't agree with the truth that I have presented, and they post the Bible, in context, and show me why I have wrongly divided the truth with regards to what I have posted about Word Faith and what the Bible really says about this false doctrine, I am willing to stand corrected.

But, here we are on page 61, and nothing but slander and opinions, as people defend their feelings, not using the Bible, and slander me, because I have taken the time and energy to dig deep into this controversy.

Again. The Holy Spirit has led and guided me since the day God saved me. Part of that guidance was giving me a hunger to know God's word better. Long before I went to seminary, I was faithfully reading the Bible cover to cover every year, in different versions and languages. But, I had a greater hunger, put there by the Holy Spirit. He led me to seminary, where I was able to learn more about God.

But not just learn ABOUT God, but to know and serve him better. To hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, transforming me and changing me. And then, to be able to help and comfort the hurting, to rebuke doctrinal lies, even as Paul had to do. (Nope, I am not Paul - but he is a example of a very educated man, who spoke three languages, and God used him BECAUSE he was educated.)

Again, please post Bible verses, particularly addressing the OP. It is easy to find, it is on page 1. Post where I am wrong. But do not come onto this thread, throwing in red herrings like hypergrace, which this thread is not about, and posting opinioins, judgments, condemnations and slander.

My deepest prayer is that even if people God not see how wrong the Word Faith is now, by reading, by studying the Bible on their own, they will be able to repent that they ever supported this terrible heresy which has destroyed so many lives!

11PETER 3:1-2-3-4-10.
This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds
by way of remembrance:

That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the Holy prophets,
and of the Commandment of us the apostles of The Lord and Saviour:

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue
as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But The Day of The Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away
with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that
are therein shall be burned up.

As usual, you have not addressed my Scriptures in the OP. You have not even posted any of your own. Just more nonsense! Why not start your own thread, if you want to exalt all these evil men, and pull Scriptures out of context? I started this thread to discuss the BIBLE, which you have not done, and are not doing!

Please leave this thread if you are not going to address the OP, and discuss whether the foundational Scriptures posted by the Word Faith movement are true in context, or not!
I left him alone to consume his false doctrine and his spinach. Not a profitable engagement, these "enthusiasts."

Luke 18:8 (NASB)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?"

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
[SUP]1 [/SUP] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Psalm 103:1-5 (NASB)

Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name.

[SUP]2 [/SUP] Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits;

[SUP]3 [/SUP] Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases;

[SUP]4 [/SUP] Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;

[SUP]5 [/SUP] Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.

I appreciate your pursuit of Biblical truth. It is saddening that those here that are WoF and believe in extra biblical revelation are so deceived that they will reject the divine revelation given in Scripture. They will continue to pit personal experience and out of context verses they've learned against proper sound doctrine. It is a snare, and they must be delivered, and that is up to God.

I see that the Word of Faith people give scripture after scripture and none of you EVER accept it..You just cry about being accused and attacked...Yet look at this thread. Its about ninety percent YOU attacking a belief and people who disagree with you...Do you know what that is called? The Word speaks against hypocrisy. In this thread just this afternoon I've seen a flood of anger hatred and lies against Christian brothers...Just go on with your judgments folks You seem to be having a really good time.

One or two verses out of context isn't a defense. Several of us here against WoF have given exegetical proof against WoF on this thread and many other threads. Chapters and chapters of the bible are devoted to combating such heresies as the WoF. All one has to do is pick up their bible and read it. Google search for verses with certain terms to backup presuppositions don't count as proof in favor of the heresies being propagated.

Care to show us where anyone has lied about someone else?

This has never happened unless it has been taken out of context. This is why the sheep never accept it. You should crack open your Bible, and seek help of someone who understands it according to 2 Timothy 2:15 to help you.

You're on an unsustainable path of error and accordingly you reject sound doctrine.

We've yet to witness you interpret even one verse properly.

Wonder what that means?

once again, brothers and sisters,

discern and respond, not by emotion, but by what your True Teacher is teaching you...

this is a 'learning site', designed by God to teach and enlighten - don't take offence
and don't defend what you have been given by the Holy Spirit; another words,
don't take the 'bait' and run with it,,...discern and give back the Love of Jesus to those
who are lost and seeking...

Well, RoboOp designed the site, but I'm sure he gives glory to God for it :D

Good advice though.

The thing about love is, sometimes it takes the form of a whip or strong rebuke for the sake of the sheep and those being led astray. Some people don't see the love in that because love has been redefined to mean "being nice no matter what".

Saw a sermon the other day by Paul Washer and he mentioned he took his mom to the doctor one day. They had planned on going out to eat later. The doctor told her she had cancer. Paul said it ruined her meal, ruined her day, ruined her week, but the doctor, had he not told her what was wrong, could have been kicked out of medicine for being immoral. The doctor was trying to save her life, and by making her disease known to her, which was very hurtful to her, he was able to give treatment.

Sometimes love is hurtful temporarily. Nice isn't always kind, and being kind isn't always nice. If a kid was out in the road and about to get hit by a mack truck, and your only option to get to them in time is to tackle them to the pavement, that's gonna hurt. Road rash, maybe a broken bone, knocked unconscious, etc. But you saved the child's life.

Having worked in the medical field since 1980 I know that there have been many times that a doctor got the diagnosis wrong and got the wrong "truth" from a lab report and everything he told that patient was totally wrong and in the process brought chaos and untruth to the very patient "he believed" he was helping.

The very same truth applies to the things of the Lord and we are just as dependent on the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ and all that He has already done for us in the scriptures as Mary was dependent on the Holy Spirit to conceive Jesus in her womb.

Just like the Lord says.

"My people perish for lack of knowledge".

"Don't defend what we have been given by the Holy Spirit?"

And your post was given "likes" for this?????

Sorry, but that is pure sentimentalism, it is not reflective of the defense of the Gospel as per Philippians 1:7, 16 among many other Scriptures both OT and NT.

The love of Jesus isn't compromise, nor is the defense of the Gospel a lack of love.

To be fair, I thought he meant the position would defend itself. Biblical truths are impossible to stand against. I think someone told us this before didn't they? Don't defend your position or something? Not sure if he meant it differently here or not, but I didn't read it as sit back and do nothing.

You made the accusation. Burden of proof is on you. I don't care one way or another. I haven't lied about anyone. Anyone you think we may have lied about has scripture testifying against them. So..

Perhaps, and I can still hardly walk due to my back being out. I'm probably wrong here due to inability and frustration.

So, saying WoF is heresy is a lie? Thought that's where you were coming from. You've been asked by the OP to present your view and defend it, so do it.
