So many people hate education, because it exposes the weakness of their doctrines. But, if their doctrine is true, it will stand up to any amount of scrutiny.
The problem is that Word Faith is NOT true, and its devotees are helpless to defend an doctrine which cannot be defended.
And then the slander and malice start.
Start with the Word Faith lie, then when it is confronted fairly and biblically that it is patently wrong, then ad hominem attacks. Right, anyone with an education to see through the false theology, must therefore not have the Holy Spirit.
Which is basically saying they are not saved! Because without the Holy Spirit, we are not saved. Now, there are people on this thread I totally disagree with. I have shown over and over scripturally why they are wrong, and begged for them to refute me. But, I have not resorted to saying any one of them is not saved. Misled, deceived, certainly, but I do believe there are people who know Christ, but have been led astray. I know they are not well educated, and by that I mean - having read and studied the Bible on their own, but to slander them and say they are not saved? That is horrible.
The fact is, we need both the Holy Spirit and education. For some, that is the steady and dedicated study of the Scriptures on their own. Reading the Bible through over and over simply would blast this false Word Faith doctrine to bits! No need to go to seminary. For me personally, and a few others, God has called us to really dig deep into the word, the original languages and to teach the truth.
Now, again, if someone doesn't agree with the truth that I have presented, and they post the Bible, in context, and show me why I have wrongly divided the truth with regards to what I have posted about Word Faith and what the Bible really says about this false doctrine, I am willing to stand corrected.
But, here we are on page 61, and nothing but slander and opinions, as people defend their feelings, not using the Bible, and slander me, because I have taken the time and energy to dig deep into this controversy.
Again. The Holy Spirit has led and guided me since the day God saved me. Part of that guidance was giving me a hunger to know God's word better. Long before I went to seminary, I was faithfully reading the Bible cover to cover every year, in different versions and languages. But, I had a greater hunger, put there by the Holy Spirit. He led me to seminary, where I was able to learn more about God.
But not just learn ABOUT God, but to know and serve him better. To hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, transforming me and changing me. And then, to be able to help and comfort the hurting, to rebuke doctrinal lies, even as Paul had to do. (Nope, I am not Paul - but he is a example of a very educated man, who spoke three languages, and God used him BECAUSE he was educated.)
Again, please post Bible verses, particularly addressing the OP. It is easy to find, it is on page 1. Post where I am wrong. But do not come onto this thread, throwing in red herrings like hypergrace, which this thread is not about, and posting opinioins, judgments, condemnations and slander.
My deepest prayer is that even if people God not see how wrong the Word Faith is now, by reading, by studying the Bible on their own, they will be able to repent that they ever supported this terrible heresy which has destroyed so many lives!
