No sir, it don't. A slave is one that is taken by force to do service, and a servant is one who offers up himself to do service. .
I feel you are stuck on the term. I hope you are not stuck on the truth behind it. For we are both a servant as a Child of God's and one who must keep the cart before the horse, meaning we must agree with God's will over our own in everything. Jesus is our Lord. A Master and ruler of His Children. He does not possess the personality of a tyrant His burden is light; and His yoke is easy, He is the bearer of life and that life is an abundant life. But we must sit in the premise of our New power - God's will over any of our own. This is not taking away your personality, it is highlighting your New disposition in Christ, a personality He created your person to be naturally. We are both servant and bondservant. And in exchange He will share His glory with us in heaven. And give us peace and power and confidence here on earth. Gabriel I am not trying to take your blessings away, I am trying to show you what God has shown me in what His blessings entail, based on His Word.May God bless you richly.

We are servants to God because we choose to be servants. we are not slaves. a slave would not like you very much if you took him by force.

I like the things you say, but want to interject something here.....Jesus said that after we have done all we can do ro consider ourselves lowly servants only doing those things we are commanded to do...When a slave was set free they had the option to return unto their master and serve freely....a hole was bored through their ear or nose and a particular bead was worn to shiw they were free yet had decided to serve because they could not have it better any place else.....in essence we are the same....we have been set free from sin, the world and the bondage of sin....we choose to serve Jesus as a "doulos" bond servant because we cannot get a better master and or have it any better some place else.....just a point to ponder

Cant rep again this fast. excellent post brother.

I love how the workers use this passage, when this passage clearly states, if they fall away, they can NEVER be renewed.

If this passage supports loss of salvation, it says the person who lost it cn never get it back, it is gone forever.. SO if thats what they want to use it for. the first time they think threy lost salvation, they were done..

Of course they will say they never lost it, because they have been holy and not sinned (or just made booboos and oopsies) which God did not punish them for.
Amen to that....and seeing how one sin brings death....they then need to push sinless perfectionism....so as to not lose their salvation by sin......the fallacies of thier dogma has more holes than swiss cheese....

The problem with the condemnation above is it has no validity.
It is driven by anger. As soon as this becomes our driving emotion the Holy Spirit
has been left far behind and we are neck deep in sinful behaviour and language.

And that is where it just stops. It makes the speaker look as the verse says

The mouths of fools are their undoing, and their lips are a snare to their very lives.
Prov 18:7

Many evil things are said without restraint, because we have not resolved things
in our lives and it goes too far. Some shipwreck their faith because the emotion
gets the better of them.
I stand by my post....to call the security found in Christ is satanic and a false satanic statement......the Spirit of God would not lead a man to say that....end of story!

*Is just posting to continue the coffee talk in this brutal war zone*

I have never really tasted coffee before, except a little sip of cappuccino when I was 6 (I hated it), but milk coffee sweets are among my favourite sweet things to eat! I should really start to eat them again sometime...

Now you insult me PeterJens.

I don't "pander". I know God accepts me and I don't need anyone else approval.
Exactly why I have him on ignore....nothing but heretical half truths, self adulation, twisting what we say, embellishing what we say and as deceptive as they come under the banner of sounding Holy and saying God bless you....he is in the top 5 positions of cake taker......

It's even more ridiculous to twist every scripture by Paul against Judiazers for adding works of the Law to their salvation to say anyone who believes real faith has to have matching works are works salvationists!
I finally understood a few months ago where the confusion was being held at. Obviously a true faith will produce fruit. We all agree on that. What people dont agree on is written in the small txt.

People disagree on these core subjects that are the core to this argument. Free will and faith a human response or God given.

Free will is either disagreed all together supporting total depravity. 2nd free will is either supported until saved then this supports OSAS.

Or 3rd free will holds from start to finish.

Arguments on faith.

1st either faith is given to some by God which supports unconditional election and limited atonement. Or 2nd its both God given and irresistible supporting the no free will folks.

Or 3rd faith is the human response that comes from the choice that arises from hearing the Word.

Obviously if they believe the any of the first 4 in TULIp they will disagree a lot on free will subjects and faith as a human response.

The other group will disagree really on the subject can one could ever deny grace after having it.

The whole works argument is pointless if free will isnt held because they believe everything is God moving in us. No human interaction or relationship.

But the other group sees faith as a human response out of free will. A living faith would be an active faith. And this group sees faith as a willful surrender to God that brings the willing to obey in obedience to the will of God.

And the other group gets that confused as works because they disagree with a lot of the human response in the relationship between creator and creation. Disagreement in the core of free will.

Idolotry is putting another god over the God of heaven. or making something more important than God.

security in the God of heaven is not idolotry. It is putting the God of heaven and his son above ALL other things, including ourselves.

The idolotry of legalism and self righteousness with be your downfall. Because it puts self focus over the God of heaven and his son.

It amases me that you would condemn people who have faith in God as their security.. It just goes to show what you really think..

and as I mentioned to ariel a few days ago. Why you can not see this, is beyond me.
The three top cake taking quotes of Peter that speaks volumes concerning who leads him...

a. The imputed righteousness of Christ a neat little trick that does not work

b. Jesus and faith is not enough

c. Having security in Jesus is an idol

No one saved or led of God would say the above......!

Purity

I thought to save time I would see what others had written on purity.
I am now in real shock. It is shock at the porn addiction in our society.

Simple stats. 51 % of guys watch over 5 hours of porn a week, some more
than 20 hrs. It changes ones brain structures and makes one an addict of more
and more violent material. So on average every other guy here has an on going
problem. Little wonder people have a problem saying they are pure.

Never before in history has this been possible, a weird sexual addiction totally isolated
enslaving billions of people. The gospel stands as a light, and says this is the walking
dead, and more than ever we need clarity. Is porn wrong and why? How do we help the
addicted break free, and what is our stand in this broken world?

It is little wonder when you say there is no law or morality, porn is just the extension of
a need. You do not bond with someone, it is only in the mind? Billion $ industries run on
the back of this, so the opposition is very strong, And among all fellowships this is a silent
issue. And it is much worse than you think, just knowing the levels this stuff goes to can
make you sick. There is no deeper sewer than this industry.

a. The imputed righteousness of Christ a neat little trick that does not work
Jesus righteousness spray. This idea is God does not see sin because Jesus's righteousness
is sprayed in Gods eyes so He is blind. It is just a stupid idea, but many claim to believe this.
God sees us as we are, and sees who is walking in faith and following Christ and who is not.

b. Jesus and faith is not enough
Having faith that a car is able to take you somewhere is different to getting in and being driven.
Many claim to have faith in Christ, but do not know His words, His commands or how to follow.
It is literally meaningless unless it dwells in your heart and God is your King and Saviour.

c. Having security in Jesus is an idol
Making security in Christ the definition of a believer or unbeliever is idolatry of assurance.
The logic says Jesus changes us, we just live, and He magically does it all. A morality of
self verses God ensues with continual guilt about self doing things, evil, God doing things, good.
Sin is not the issue, because there is no guilt even while doing it, no repentance or confession,
just looking to Jesus. It creates a weird non christian language and intent, where people do not
know purity or righteousness, cleansing or wholeness, but just this acceptance, and blankness.
In this world God only needed to give us one A4 sheet of paper saying Jesus. It is just junk.
How many people realise this, I do not know, but certainly a number here.

Now little wonder some hate these points, because it undermines their whole position.
But thanks for highlighting it, I can shine a light on the deception and delusion some are under.

Sin matters, it is not some nice thing you do in secret, or something that pruddish people dare
not approach, it is destructive, leads literally to death, and rots the very soul of a person.

Anyone who is compromising with sin, stands judged and in rebellion against the Lord and love.
And such addictions need help, need patience, need working with. It is not surprising so many
end up killing themselves as they struggle with addictions alone, which are destroying the very
life they once knew. We need to pray for such as these, for the sins that bind them but they
excuse so easily.

So you choose brothers and sisters, who is your God.

A God who cannot see you and help you free yourself from the bondage of sin,
or a healing King who can lead you to the walk of Jesus, in purity, love and truth.

I know who the pure and holy would choose, so what is your faith in, the cross and
victory, or compromise and hypocracy?

:( It is sad the state of the world and how far sin has taken hold
When people lose the value in enjoying one another and the things we can offer,
we end up lost and alone, wondering where it went wrong.

I suspect many compromise on fantasy, and do not know what to do with such
addictions. They regard them as harmless, except they lead to adultery and
sexual immorality, and come to dominate their lives.

Little wonder if I talk about purity, they already know the addiction they cannot
give up, the emotional buzz that keeps them going in the day. So many hide these
things not realising the prison of silence binds them as much as the acts themselves.

We really do need one another, and showing love and understanding in a lost sick
world.

Why can I speak as I do?
Because I must know the Holy Spirit bringing me encouragement, life and love every second
of every day.

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
1 Tim 1:14

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
Eph 1:7
