i dont suggest taking other mens words as scripture
or SOUND doctrine before you read the Word and can tell for yourself
but it really does help your hunger for the Word and terms and concepts
ok
paul wash (just a man, a preacher very heart felt has a lot right and some wrong but good for your heart)
kerrigan skelly (another man, mainly a street preacher helps with conviction of sin... again many things right but some things wrong)
kent hovind(less of a preacher more of an apologist.. he debates professors and it helps you see how silly the world can be)
chuck missler (another preacher... more things i disagree with but has an interesting way of thinkin and talks about some topics that really get you thinking)
after listening to people like these
you shouldnt take what they say as fact
but the message they bring can soften you to new information
and make you crave the word
also
im not trying to brag in anyway
im just a sappling
but i have read the bible
and i read it still every day
i may be of use, if you ever have a question feel free to hit me up
So what are you saying NoNameBobbyMcgee,I mean NoNameMcgee, that there is people that tell partial truth, but never can understand the full truth,so let us take matters in to our own hands.
And that is nice that you said do not take other people's word for it,but check it out for yourself, which is wise advice, and what the Bible says to do.
Which the Bible does say, hear the word with all readiness of mind, and then search the word if those things be true, and we need not that any person teach us,but the Spirit will teach us.
And those people can soften people to think upon the word, which is nice that at least they get people to think about the word, but if they give heed to the things that they do teach as false, might be a hindrance to them, for they might not sort it out,and be able to overcome the falseness they teach.
What I say is forget everybody else, for who can you trust in today's world, and what they say,but read the Bible by the Spirit, and who cares what they have to say,for it is a gamble where the odds may be against you,if you heed to what they say as truth.
For too many people drag the world in to the Bible, and their fleshy ways in to the Bible, for you to go by what they say,for read the Bible, let the Spirit teach you,and leave the rest behind.
And it is nice that you are humble,a young sappling, for that will get you farther in the graces of God,and the understanding of God's word, and closer to Jesus, than any other attitude,or emotion, that you can have, for God resists the proud, but gives grave unto the humble.
I am being sentimental, and going out of character than my usual hard core, disappointed at today's Christianity, type attitude, and am glad when the younger folks love the word of God,for it is a rare thing today, and more rare tomorrow, and more rare as time goes on,for that is what God said will happen, and for the youth to be able to see through all the falseness of the world, and not go along with them, with its worldliness, and selfishness,to see the truth of God,is a delight to my soul.
