Jesus is faithful. We rest in His faithfulness, we surrender to the rest He provides, that is what He requires of us.

yep.....you and your pals do this regularily. A question for all sinless perfectionists who labor, toil and work for your salvation....you know the ones, those who push sinless perfectionism....

DO you 100% of the time 247/365 days of the year keep every commandment, always doing everything biblical without one sin....YES or No

Simple answer.....WE are all waiting.....

YES or NO
I cannot say yes or no, because I do not believe in sinless perfection and have stated so on many previous posts.

Still waiting for you guys to answer...YES or NO

It is obvious you guys will not answer because if YOU say YES your lying and if YOU say NO your false stance goes down the toilet......

SEE....it is easy to address those who claim no sin or sinless perfectionism....their fallacies, deceit and deception becomes all to obvious by a simple yes or no question.....

I don't know if this was posted but remembering the story of achan should throw caution in the wind.
Sin from one person could cause a whole congregation to fall.
yes if you look back to the Law, the sentances of death were for that very purpose, look how fast it spread from cain to the flood, took out the whole earth besides 8 people.

its also evident in pauls teachings to the corinthians about removing the brother Who was openly sinning with His fathers wife, and the people began to boast of it. that also shows what you are saying there. sin is like a cancer amongst a congregation. we are so blessed because Jesus isnt demanding perfection, but Just to be joined to Him as Lord and begin learning from Him. at that point were secure, as we press forward oin that very thing. no one is a finished work, we just walk according to our conscience and keep it clear by repentance and take another step forward. grace is wonderful, Grace along side the truth is Life and peace and eternal Life

Faith is believing what God says is true ....the more we believe in His faithfulness because He said He would always be faithful the more faithful we become. We move from faith to faith.

It begins and ends with Him

Are we told to have faith or is only God faithful?

I know i answered your question before even seeing your post. I said no we cannot. The faithful surrender to Gods will and in this surrender we obey. Allowing God to work in us and guide us. As we do this sin gets less and less. But we will still never be perfected until death. Sin will always be. Its just a matter of what we are choosing to be our master.

God knows the heart of those who truly are being faithful and to those who have weakened in faith potentially being in danger of backsliding or even one day apostasy.

I was reading an interesting parable today. What does it mean to you?

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh"
(Matt 25:1-13)

God bless you all!

Keep twisting....the one verse in context hammered your deception concerning the 1st thing you denied and stated....I see we have another cake taker here who denies something, gets called on it and misdirects to make out like he is right....thats ok....All who can read and be honest can see your deceptive ways....reminds me of another........still making the list in Proverbs 6......

You just got mad again because you hate it when [as your posting history proves BTW] when someone adds the above and below verses to the single verse you take out of context.

When will you comprehend that SIN is not the problem....having faith into the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf is the problem...JESUS said it is FINISHED<---PAID in full....SIN in a BELIEVER has BEEN satisfied IN CHRIST...when will you grasp this.....for a believer the GRACE of GOD outbounds OUR SIN as JESUS mmediates for US as our LAWYER (ONE ALONG SIDE) pleading the BLOOD and the FAITH.....ALL who fail to grasp the security of the believer cannot seem to grasp this simple truthful concept...God was clear...when I SEE the BLOOD I WILL PASS OVER YOU!

Yes and so thats the only thing we are called to do is have faith. Faith to faith until we reach our destination.

But in less your implying humans are completely evil and would never come to God and God even gives faith to who he wants and dont want as in election. Then of course we wont agree. I believe God does have to influence mankind to draw humans to him. But God draws all so none are without excuse. God draws all to one choice that may come 5 times in one day. But that choice comes to as to have faith in what God led them to or choose to deny it. For those who dont deny it will be drawn to the gospel.

Justification is what causes folks to be saved. Righteousness is sanctification.

Salvation is both justification and sanctification,
justification is another term for made righteous. I am speaking about positional righteousness imputed to you at conversion and you are talking about practical righteousness which is indeed part of ongoing sanctification.

My statement was for believers.

Scripture teaches that the unbeliever is saved by grace through faith. This faith is not a gift from God.
I agree completely with you God draws all people.
A person needs to have faith to come to God, not as a work but as a belief in God in a personal way.

I do not subscribe to Calvinism or Arminianism doctrines :)

To me ten believers excitingly waiting on the Lord. Otherwise nonbelievers wouldn't care. But 5 are actually preparing taking the information they know about the groom as truth preparing.

While the other 5 is exitingly waiting but doesnt take his word seriously and ends up being not known. The heart will truly define who loves the groom.
