There is a sense of this statement that implies sin is impossible to be free from.
When you describe a cyclist do you say they are a cyclist who falls off occasionally.

No because ofcourse this is always a risk but not inevitable.

Love never accepts evil as inevitable, "It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 cor 13:7

The more humbled I become the more I see it is love that defines us and evil and sin diminshes
in its hold in our lives. This is a walk of faith, and knowing His Spirit. Why should we respond
in a bad way to anything. One does not work like a legalist, one searches to reach out and
embrace people where they are, and meet the needs that present themselves.

When people say we should be love aware and not sin aware, it should be we are seeking to
express the love of Christ that He has put their, and not live in fear of failure but declare boldly
the victory over sin and death which the cross has given us, Amen.
no one is perfect and sinless. not me, not you, not anyone. but, for some reason, those of us that are truthful and honest,( Christian virtues that seem to have little value here) those of us that are honest get attacked by the fakers.

Lol....come one Dcon, give the guy some cake..he just wants some lovin'
Ariel - I feel I should not be asking this, because you find my expressions wrong or worthy
of laughter, but do you know what you are doing?

The reference to cake is mockery, lovin' equally so. Do you understand we are commanded
to love as Jesus loved us. You know Jesus died for us, counting His life as nothing but offered
it as a sacrifice that we might be forgiven of our sins.

What you might have mistaken is I expect love in a soppy, be nice to me. No I am calling on
the nature of eternal agape love that says we are servants one to another, and there is no fear
or vulnerability of showing love, rather it is our glory and boast, for we know our King the victor
over sin and death.

So God bless you sister, may you experience this overwhelming love flooding your life and
everything you do, Amen.

I am not attacking you as a faker. I am asking about your hope in victory and overcoming.
And as Paul said, he was not perfect yet, but he pressed onwards.

And attacking is very much you guys trying to accuse me and bring me down on something
that I do not believe or do. Honesty is always the starting place, but with faith also of knowing
who Christ truly is. This is our salvation, our living out what Christ has put in our hearts.

honesty is not a " starting place ", it should be a way of life, especially for a believer. and, that is what save us, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. then one should live a life that reflects that belief, not " prove salvation be works", that is man-made legalism.

I see you haven't changed...assigning the worst motives for innocent laughter.

I laugh with Jimbo and he doesn't get mad at me and tell me how evil I am.

I laugh with most of my brothers and they don't assume that I am mocking them.

I apologize. I forget that you are overly sensitive and don't share my sense of humor.

I was teasing Dcon, not you.

Reminding him that perhaps he would not react to your words harshly and that perhaps he would offer you cake instead of call you a cake taker.

Why I bother talking to you Peterjens, I don't know.

You always assign bad motives even where none exist.

Who doesn't want to be loved?
It's intrinsic in our nature.
Eating cake is intrinsic to my stomach...

Hehehe (think that will work into someone offering me cake?)

We are free from sin PJ, Jesus made sure of that on the cross. I hope by now you understand that we differ vastly on the sin issue. You work through yours by your strength that Jesus let's you borrow, and I fully trust and embrace His all powerful finished work on the cross. Now we are both saved because we believe on the cross, and we have accepted the Holy Spirit and He is our Lord and Savior, but my walk is totally different than yours. His Mercy and Grace has given me life and peace and rest, yours seems to be a focus in getting rid of all of the sin in your life (which you will never accomplish in that body of yours). But God sees my heart, He is doing a work within and through me, Praise Jesus for that, I need some work done, but He sees me as righteous through what He has done. I do not look at sin lightly, I just understand that He no longer holds it against me. That is freedom...not freedom to go.and indulge my flesh, that is certainly not why He gave all, but freedom to walk on relationship with Him, knowing and fully understanding that he does NOT hold my sin against me. It seems Peter that we live by two different Gospels.

And I agree with a lot of what you are saying Peter. It is Love that guides us.

gb9 - interesting angle you put on it. Honesty. I am a mass murderer and I kill people I do not like.
That is very honest but useless. So we need a lot more than just honesty.

This is why I am saying honesty is a starting place, it is working through sinful behaviour and loving
behaviour with the cross and the Lord. It appears to me maybe you have not done this. I have in
my life, which is why many things changed for me as I saw why I behaved in certain ways and how
I can reflect the King in my life. God bless.

I spend little time thinking about sin, rather I spend most of my time thinking about what
needs to be done.

And I am not counting myself as pure and Holy, I just walk as I am led, it is God who declares
we pure and Holy.

You seem to want to make our walks different, for whatever past reason you have for this, rather
than rejoicing in fellowship with the Lord. It is this animosity I find odd.

I believe that you are thoughtful, patient and kind, and that is why you keep talking to him. At least from what I read:cool:

You see animosity where there is only disagreement.

Yes....and the fact that others have tried to discuss things but were met with insults and constantly being mis-represented in what is really being said and thus it does no good to continue to interact with them ...so it's time to do this...

Ariel - For me you deal lightly with sin. Do you know what condemnation is, losing my Lord,
the dearest thing in my life, to be told that a brother wants me to burn in hell, tortured forever
and all I share is equally dooming people to hell?

Is this a joking subject to you, something that does not grieve the heart, and can be talked like
it is passing sentiments?

When Jesus says that if you say to a brother they are a fool you endanger yourself to hell itself.

So I cannot share your laughter or attitude.
You want empathy at the compromise of our Lord and His salvation.

You are blind to what the words we share mean. I do not play your games or style.
And the words I share are about life and death, heaven and hell, yet you indulge in cynicism.

I pull no punches or the evil people say, condemn attack, desire people to literally be pulled
apart.

Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.

Why not post what you believe instead of vitriol, bloviating and carefully calculated personal attacks..........??
I did..... but, as always, you spread confusion & the readers don't know who to believe.

The end result? Popularity wins out.

Jesus said the world would hate the christian..... Yet popular people win arguments, build reps, & lure people away, all the while being loved for their attitudes.

Let's break this down.....

A. Point 1...You compare Satan to GOD <----false and blasphemous
B. Point 2...You quote a scripture, ask a question to set up points 3 and 4
C. Point 3...You contradict the scripture you gave and underlined, applied God giving growth to his children and his children giving growth to evil (see bolded quote below)<----FALSE, Misleading and as evil as can be
D. Point 4...You obviously distinguish between yourself, Peter etc. and all those who you disagree with and in so doing, judge the salvation of those you disagree with which you hypocritically have condemned in the past
E. Point 5....God does not call US to silence....we are to always be ready to oppose false dogma............

but God gave the growth. 7So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth

Here he goes waffling again, no substance, just opposing everything I post.

That's what happens when you think you're superior.

It's all psychological..... not spiritual at all.

AMEN....Daniel, Peter (the one inspired), Paul, Thomas, Abraham, Moses, David, etc. all missed his memo on sinless perfectionism........
