do not rejoice when someone falls is the message I get from the Bible and yes, we sure do need a reminder of it!
 
I have to be in agreement with Stephen on this for this reason..

We sit in heavenly places..

If we look at the translation of this, it is above our humanity or our weakness of the flesh.

We know what is sin to God by the law. This person is denying the very Word of God. And is deception.

My desire was to allow christians to see our days we live in as they really are, not as many thinks it is.

These are challenging times for the church. As the Op I knew that I too would be challenged for simply showing these videos.

Just because I stated the obvious about this last video doesn't mean I'm a gay hater, so don't presume you can waltz in here & paint me as one.

You are what you are, & do what you do. That's not my fault, I had no hand in that.

I haven't attacked you, I have no desire to do so, & I'm not biting..... notta gonna happen.

My consistency in this thread doesn't point to your implications of me.

This thread isn't about me, so I'd appreciate it if you would quit trying to make it so. It's not about you either, so please quit trying to derail this thread. Thank you.
 
This is a really messed up world and getting worse every day. i wouldn't want hell for person, and i hope all come to repentance (our Lord Christ Jesus). This one was a terrible person before meeting Jesus, and what Jesus has done for me he can do for all. If Jesus can and has done this for me, He can do it for anyone.

From the beginning I noticed no such spirit in this thread. Most everyone here agrees that they need the Lord like anyone else.

I do, however, see a change of spirit now. I always question unprovoked criticism & the motives of those that do it.

oh honestly Stephen. you do have a gift for the dramatic and playing the victim

nobody called you a gay hater. but it's fine to say God hates the practice of homosexuality and He does and He hates all sin

sin is destructive and leads to death and separation from God. everyone on this thread will agree on that

stop defending yourself for things no one said. that alone causes people to wonder why you need to defend yourself, you know?

you have posted at least one video which is untrue and casts a really bad quality over this thread and I already mentioned that one

I truly, sincerely and deeply do not believe you have the truth on how all Christians live and most of us are very aware of the sin in those that call themselves by the name of Christ

whatever that means. at any rate, aren't we all trying to be more than we are? you know, maybe that is part of the problem here. you are seeing people at their worst instead of hoping for more of Christ in them

death and hell are final. these are souls Jesus died for.

actually, I think the thread is in large part about you. I have not seen you post one thread that is uplifting.

Jesus reaches out to people through us. who shall I send? sound familiar? since you know the OT

and by the way, we do NOT sit in judgement over the hearts of others.

My pastor believes that when you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost it will be evidences by speaking in tongues. If you know the Assembly of God's faith statement that is what he believes too, but honestly he doesn't push it hard. It's just not the subject matter often. Like I said before, and I know I wasn't very clear, some of the examples I was using were not what is taught in the church I attend, also this was not meant as a criticism of these things, just an example of how even though we don't agree on some things we can still all love Christ together..

No I just noticed you mentioned talking in tongues and salvation and AofG doesn't believe that tongues saves you :)
 
The gifts and calling of God are without repentance, that was for the nation of Israel and should not be applied to Christians. The Spirit gives gifts as He wills and they operate as He wills, and the Spirit is not subject to the will of the individual, neither is the Spirit bound in any way to maintain a gift on a person who is not right with God. About the anointing, we are all anointed as Christians and have the same Spirit, Christians can have different gifts given by the Spirit, however the natural ability to speak and hold a crowd is not a gift from God, just a natural ability, Hitler had such an ability. There is this really ridiculous idea going around that God picks certain persons and gives then the anointing and even if they get into sin they are still the special anointed ones of God. Jesus taught no such thing, we are all brothers and sisters. Folks are trying to place some OT practices on the church that God did not place on the church and to use that to exalt particular individuals above the rest.

Why are you defending a woman who shows utter contempt for our God by defiantly practicing what is an abomination to Him and then acting proud of it?

Until he wants to know God, his lifestyle isnt surprising for all who deny him and his word. Hes merely a fan. Just trying to blend in for now. But yes college will make it worse. But this may be part of Gods plan. He has heard the gospel in church. So who knows his lifestyle may turn him to God one day. Only thing your commanded to do is tell him the truth in a loving way. Tell him because you care for him. Be private about it. Maybe do it in a letter if you think he will be really uncomfortable.

But always be ready mentally because if you bring out Gods truth it may not sit well with him. If he likes the sin then he may react towards you in not such a nice way. Prepare yourself for this so if it happens you can just respond and try keeping the peace. If you see the hostility growing then its time to walk away. And let Gods will take control.

I said that everybody and every circumstance is different and not to make that a blanket statement. But I don't think ppl will wallow in their sins for years.

No,stealing a paperclip is not exactly the same as robbing your neighbor and wiping him out.

Sticking someone in the rear with a hat pin is not the same as cutting their arm off.

But all sin separates.

That does not mean that all sin is the same,or incurs the same punishment.

Not all the same in mankind's eyes but to God sin is sin regardless the nature of it.

You never know how anyone mentally will handle a situation until it happens. Someones sin from a one time choice to go out drinking and then drive only hitting and killing the people in another car. He survives and that one decision may eat on him for years until he learns that no sorrow is big enough that God cant handle it and forgiveness is found in Jesus.
