One small point each sin had its own marked sacrifice for it.
It was not just one sin and all was ok.

when anyone becomes aware that they are guilty in any of these matters, they must confess in what way they have sinned
Lev 5:5

The Lord said to Moses, 6 “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any man or woman who wrongs another in any way and so is unfaithful to the Lord is guilty 7 and must confess the sin they have committed. They must make full restitution for the wrong they have done, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the person they have wronged.
Num 5:5-7

People lie so easily about God and miss-represent Him.
Now miss-representing a human is sin, but miss-representing God is foolish, especially
if you believe He is the creator God who shows no partiality.

This is why I do wonder at the claims of knowledge and insight people have. Are they
really speaking by the Holy Spirit when they sin so badly?
they must confess or be condemed but if your saved its ok youll only lose rewards peter ????????????????????? mate this doctrine of theres justs gets better and better by the day...

How can you claim to be a teacher of men when you do not even understand yourself?
no Peter, I think you understand yourself well, and I did not talk about how well you understand yourself, but about how well you understand the word

so once again, we see you slandering someone with a false truth in an attempt to blame shift the truth.

go ahead preterm keep denying it, no sweat f my back, you just continue to make it easy to expose what is really going on.
I am sorry EG, this might be a little humbling.

You wrote "you do not even understand yourself"
The you wrote "I did not"

Now clearly this is what you wrote and are now denying it, and then say I am slandering you.
This shows how automatic this is when it is just one post after another, you think what
you have written is different from what you actually wrote and still you go on.

Now you have been doing this for years, so rather than it being easy for you to expose
me, you are declaring allowed who you truly are, and cannot be bothered to even check
what you are doing, it is so built into who you are.

And in the end, just like you not reading scripture and listening to it, you will blindly carry
on until something happens, but even then it will not shake you up, at all, because as you
declared "no sweat of my back", nothing ever gets through. God help you my friend.

Why does confessing each sin matter in the Lord?

Because each sin is connected to an issue, hurt, pain that needs resolving.
Sin is not a general problem, it is always specific issues that need addressing.
How many people do you know who have broken all the commandments?
Do you know how lost and corrupt you would be if you had done this and how much
help you would require to bring you back to life and love?

But in this new easy faith, you just say I am a sinner, God has sorted it out in Christ,
that is enough for God.

Well clearly this is not true. Now the apostles would know this because they knew
the law and its precepts. When they say confess your sins, they literally mean it.
Not like a shopping list, but going into the reasons why and bringing everything openly
and honestly before the King. And not a condemnation, but so they can be resolved and
sorted and be truly cleansed. And yes this is hard, it hurts, it costs, and often we do not
know quite where it will lead, but that is the point. It leads to freedom, and reconciliation.

But those who prefer to live in darkness and never resolve their issues, this is what they
hate. Admit they are sinners, ok, but deal with the issues, get lost, that is too much.
This is the level of hypocracy and compromise we are actually dealing with.

It is why the rich young man walked away from Christ, being good was cudos for a wealthy
man, but to become like everyone else, was to give up security and safety. That was getting
too real and tough. People lie to themselves all the time about what they will do, and what
things mean, when they cost nothing, because faking it is as easy as saying the words.

God is not mocked.

Funny how one can post this verse, as if he knows what it means, yet deny it in the very gospel he preaches.

If John 3: 16 is real. whoever has faith in God HAS eternal life. His eternity is no longer in question, His fate is sealed (in christ)

whoever rejects this, their eternity is in question, and their fate is in their own hands, And it would be highly recommended that they repent, and receive John 3: 16

As John said, The knowledge that we already HAVE eternal life (not that we are working to get it as some preach) is the means and power we need to continue to believe in his name..

There is no hope in a salvation that must be kept and or maintained by works or not sinning...........there is hope in the eternal life found in Christ and by his faith and promises......

you slander His truth nerly everytime i speak to you..
I used to find it odd. I would say something sensible and nice.
Then back would come something different, not on the issue, not answering it,
but attacking and inventing some terrible crime.

Page after page of this heinous crime, then when challenged, nothing.
And maybe a confession of giving me a hard time, because he was like me once,
and he was saving me from sin and delusion.

This reminds me of going through swamps in the tropics and you get leeches.
No matter what you do, they appear, lol.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leech
Common, but medically inadvisable, techniques to remove a leech are to apply a flame, a lit cigarette, salt, soap, or a chemical such as alcohol, vinegar, lemon juice, insect repellent, heat rub, or certain carbonated drinks. These will cause the leech to quickly detach; however, it will also regurgitate its stomach contents into the wound. The vomit may carry disease, and thus increase the risk of infection.

Leeches can be useful to deal with infections and illnesses.
How you deal with them is important if you do not want to be damaged.

I think there is a lesson that can be applied to other things.

when you have no reason to understand what peopel are trying to tell you, Thats all you have left, they must hate you,, Just another blame shift tactic.

By his comparison above to each little sin having it's own sacrifice I guess Jesus needs to be crucified 999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 times to the 100th power plus 1 so as to cover the sins of the whole world........once was not enough according to his doctrine...we must help Jesus finish what he started and keep his promises for him....

Jimmy....verb tense and verses in context prove your wrong.....will not argue this moot point with you anymore....have the same type of hope as one who buys a lottery ticket....me...I will have the bible's hope...a confident expectation of something GUARANTEED....!

My God Peter what world do you live in?

The high priest went in once a year to make atonement for the sin of the people for the last year. At that time (the day of atonement, all sin of all people were erased and forgiven by God, and they started fresh.

That is what CHrist did on that very day, they very day the high priest entered the holy of holies, Christ died on the cross. the veil was torn in two. and the annual sacrifice of atonement was done away with.

This is what Hebrews mean when he said year after year the high priest continues to make the same sacrifice which can never take away sin, but he gave his life once, and forever sits next to God making intercession for his children.

How can you claim to be a teacher of men when you do not even understand yourself?
I read a book one time....it had a statement in it....delusions of grandeur..........<----sums it up

Lol. I like your analogy. If you can have one sacrifice for all sins, you have them
forgiven all in a bulk order, so you do not have to confess them individually, because it
is a bulk order.

This just reinforces the idea sins individually do not matter, it is just being forgiven, like
buying a ticket to heaven.

I cannot fathom the mind that thinks murdering someone is the same as swearing, and
has the same issues that need to be resolved or not. Or what about sexual immorality,
or covetousness, or lying or theft, or greed. They all have their own reasons and problems.

What impresses me about God, is he cares about the details, down to sexual relations, food,
disease, ownership, lending, almost every aspect of life. But this God, the Lord Father, Jesus
His son, now does not care about anything and it is just a bulk operation, and do whatever,
afterwards, because you are free, no rules except the ones you want to live by.

That's not as big as a googolplex, given my understanding

[h=3]Let me googol it for you[/h]Immortalised in common usage by the internet giant, a googol is the number 10100 – 10, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000. The American mathematician Edward Kasner asked his nephew Milton to name it, and a googol it became. But the next really big number is the googolplex, which raises 10 to the power of a googol. This is astronomically bigger than a googol – it’s impossible to write a googolplex down in standard notation even if you wrote a single digit on each particle in the universe.

Try counting that out your fingers:rolleyes:

Let me help you Peter,

when most people talk, that have a subject,

ie. how can you teach the word (subject). When you do not understand (the subject) youself

i know I know, you have spent months trying to expose me, that's why you will look for r every detail in an attempt to make me look bad,

When you read what we say, you do like you do scripture and interpret it like you want it to be interpreted not taking into account context, or even trying to understand what is being said
well ill news flash, you failed again.

"yourself" was not the context of my statement, and should never have been taken that way.

if you misunderstood, you could do like we all do, and ask, but no, as usual, you think you know it all,

i am am sorry I did not know I had to put "the word" in twice for you to understand. For that forgive me.

that is hour our hope that is what our faith is based on,

you want ant to base your hope on how good you are, feel free, but found me out, I will continue to lie my hope in Christ. Not self

The bolded statements prove you are missing the mark and are a little ignorant concerning the word....you really should study more Peter and stand on the truth and lose your fanciful man made thinking!!!!

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

How many times should I forgive my brother?
How many times has God forgiven us?

Given our limited minds compared to Gods I'm sure a googolplex is simple maths to God.

He is probably chuckling away to himself.

No he is a nice man with a good heart, miss-guided, hard as nails, but trying to do good.
I was thinking of the approach, and its objective and how it operates and how we can
respond. I do not think there is a real response, it is what you get in this environment,
but learning a good response I think is important, because contamination is always a risk.

John described it like this

Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work.
2 John 1:11

Some wonder why they grow spiritually cold. Welcoming apostates and
heretics is an easy way to offend God, and be handed over to the enemy
for rebuke.

dc - You have no idea. So you would deal with a islamic radical wearing a suicide
belt the same way you would deal with a nice grandmother seeking safety in Christ?

It is like you have only a one track mind, totally blinkered, and not plugged in to the
real world but the religious one as if this makes any sense.
