Well, this did not take long did it. When a new person comes n this site with a question we are faced whith whether this person is asking a legitimate question and looking for honest answers or whether he is just another troll looking for a fight Looks like our friend here is just looking for a fight and I have better things to do with my time.
You can't just call anyone who disagrees with you a troll.

I know good and well that God made the earh, but there are some contradictions here now in my life. My mom says the earth is around 2000-3000 years old, but my science teacher, Professor Hemsworth, says that it is in fact around 5 billion years old. I have read the bible many times but I just need a straight answer! ;)
The earth is less than 15,000 years old- just add up the genealogy from Adam to Christ, and from Christ to now.

Give me a source or you dont know what you are talking about! Your statement was vague and it makes it really hard to take you seriously.
Why don't you educate your own ignorant self? Your logical fallacy is just that. Not very scientific of you, once again. You cannot be taken seriously at all. Asking for a single source is ridiculous. Do some research. If you are really stumped, start with wiki.

I would take more seriously a CC member with a current rep power of 283 over a member with a rep power of zero any day of the week.
rep power aside

magenta is someone whos demonstrated an understanding that Gods word is to be used as an authority

while this young boy from what ive seen is trying to discredit it (trying but failing)

i hold no grudge, new guy
you may one day be shown more than everyone here
and come to the truth

but not if youre going to fight against the Word of God...

i can tell you havent read it..
googling verses isnt going to help you

get a real bible
finish it

pray
continue to read it for years

seeking God whole heartedly will lead you to him

yeah, it sucks my three favorite things to discuss (apart from the gospel) is history, science and prophesy, yet they are the most divisive, heated, and outright attacked topics when discussing Gods word. So I do not get t talk about them much, and if I do not for long, I usually leave when it gets out of hand, not worth it.
we are history buffs here too. yesterday, watched an entire series on Stalin, and learned quite a bit that I did not know

my husband goes "this series should be required watching in schools and for all Marxists."

personally, I think Bernie should be force to watch with toothpicks in his eyes (shhh don't tell anyone I said that, I'm so mean)

into science as well ... but do filter it and compare

prophesy? well...interpretation seems to be a classification all its own. there are so many fake prophets running around, that oxygen is scare in some churches. I think you mean Bible prophecy though?

The thing is that you can't invent something like "the scientific method". It's developed through time. You cant just say "ohh ehh the cristians made it heh"

What i mean is that we all believe in what we were brought up to believe. You would have been a muslim, were you born in a muslim country. My parents are believing christians and so I was destined to be the same. It's funny how we all try our best at protecting our family beliefs, dont you think? :)
Thats not always true. I have converted muslims to Christianity. "He who searches for the truth with all their heart shall find it."

2 Timothy 4:3 - For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 3:5 - Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Psalm 12:6-8

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

But how did kangaroos get to 'stralia?? There is so much with the bible that needs to be updated :/ I still read it every day of the week though hah ;)
No it sounds like you need to study it more and you would know how kangaroos got there. If you read Genesis 10:25 & 32, with some geology back round you would know that the earth at one time all of the land on the earth was all one continent and it divided into nation after the language was confused or multiple languages came about. If you were a strict Dispensationalist you would know that it is almost 6000 years old because with the millennium the earth will be around for 7000 years

As for the carbon dating saying it is older, well carbon dating id for organic material it does not work on rock and the half life is 5730 years so it could never get to a million years let alone billions. Here's an article on carbon dating https://www.labmate-online.com/news...king_news/how_accurate_is_carbon_dating/30144

Almost 6000, roughly. According to the ages given to Adam's children to Lord Jesus is 4000~ then 2000~ years to present day.

People who believe in the big bang, spherical earth and evolution are afraid of being mocked.

WW2 is one of my favs, thats for sure, I am studying more on WW1 now too. and I agree, every student should have to learn about those things, If nothing else to try to prevent it from happening again. But here we are, headed into the same mindset all over the earth.. I doubt WW3 is far behind.

Yes bible prophesy.. Prophesy completed, and prophesy yet foretold.. Like Daniel and Isaiah, Jeremiah and Revelation etc etc.

I didn't say what you are pretending I did; you show yourself to be quite dishonest. Christians developed the scientific method. Developed implies a process over time.
