This thread is dedicated to help those who are interested in Revival to get and be prepared***When mass Salvation occurs there needs to be a net prepared to bring in the haul***God's people/Churches are that net that must be connected together to see that the Harvest is not lost***One of the main things I am concerned about is how deep Salvation will reach into the hearts of those who will be brought in***I know when I was saved out of drugs and alcohol ect. the Lord did something in me that has lasted 40 years***If we will pray that those who are reached have a deep experience in the Lord with lasting conviction it will make a big difference...

Revival is a church phenomenon - it happens within the church.
My impression, admittedly limited in the sense that I obviously cannot know the state of every church, is that in the Western world the church is currently not ready for revival.
However, revival is a sovereign work of God and God will prepare His church for revival in His time...

It is a true fact that the Church as a whole is not ready for Revival***there are pockets of people and Churches that have prepared for this Move of God for years***once the Spirit starts to Move the Churches which "catch fire" will make for an adequate net for the "catch"...

I am sorry to say that when the 'churches catch fire' they will be burned up rather than revived.
What do we understand under 'revival ? is it not a 'repetition of old ways, a re-enlivening ?
If you can explain it to me better please do !
What is ahead of us is not revival/re-living of the old, as I understand it, but something completely NEW - Christ's return and the resurrection of the Saints !
Are the churches prepared ? absolutely not. There is little time to prepare and given the general attitude of it does not bode well. Who can survive the day of the Lord ?

Christ is coming***yes, there will be a Great Tribulation ect.***the Scriptures say through much tribulation we enter the kingdom***but, before the Tribulation there will be a great harvest of souls***it is time to pray for rain in the time of the latter rain***God loves impossible situations***sin, division, confusion, ect. are no challenge to His Mighty Power***When God Thunders the Earth will shake, and He is shaking everything that can be shaken, so that which cannot be shaken will remain...

Well yes...all in good time ! First the resurrection of the Saints/the Firstfruits....who are 'not the 'great Harvest of Souls', just 144.000.

***Revival/Giving ****Many talk about Revival and a Move of God (souls being saved) and one of the way we can be part of this is through giving***I have always heard the saying "follow the money" to get to the truth and in Christianity it is the same***putting our money into Evangelism, Missions, and helping the Poor will surely help to bring about change***many today complain about offerings and giving and in some cases there are abuses, but to throw out the baby with the bathwater is fruitless***The Gospel is free, but it cost for the plumbing...

psssst, God is not going to move...he already did, now it is up to you to be the move of God he created...

2Thes 2:

[TR]
[TD]Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

Don't be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed--the one who brings destruction.

Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
[/TD]
[/TR]
[/TABLE]
So far, the so-called revivals of late have been nothing but deceptive mimicking of the Holy Spirit, doing nothing but getting people psyched up & excited.

The last real revival I remember started back in the mid 70's to early 80's. Many will remember, because that's when many of us got saved.

We saw revival in our service on Friday, where have you been at...be the move or move out of the way....

Besides right now we need a reformation, a badly needed correction and God will allow correction before revival and Restoration...the part Joel 2 that nobody like's to talk about.

Yeah, the The new breed revivalists, which are born out of the NAR movement, KC Prophets, IHOP and Bethel are leading the way into the great falling away....Lou Engle kissing the feet and ring of a Local Catholic Cardinal was a true sign of the times.

Book, Chapter and verse of this so called great revival and pouring out. You speak like Card carrying member of the NAR movement.

***God will soon bring in the Harvest and a Great Move of the Spirit***I also feel judgment will accompany this Revival***an example of this was The Azuza Street Revival in 1906 in Los Angelos***some of the men from this Revival brought a Word from God of Judgment coming upon San Francisco a few months before the 1906 earthquake***I hope I am wrong, but I think the same thing might happen soon where God will allow Judgment to fall at the same time as the move of His Spirit***just think of nine/eleven and the Twin Towers---this was a form of God's Judgment, not in the sense that God caused it, but that God allowed it----He withdrew His protection---when a nation departs from God a portion of His protection is lifted---David prayed ---take not thy Holy Spirit from me---when sin is present God's way of judging is to withdraw***some people will curse God and others will turn to God***He that has ears to hear, let Him hear if this is what God is speaking...

The Bible says that all judgement upon every nation, tongue and tribe was given from the Father to the Son...and the SOn will not judge anyone until the end of the age.

John 5.22-23-Jesus speaking

[SUP]22 [/SUP]For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, [SUP]23 [/SUP]so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

This refutes your theory and in spades...

It goes deeper than that. Christendom has been going deeper and deeper into apostasy, so any expectation of revival flies in the face of reality. The truth is that the time for judgment is at hand, and there will be a severe judgment of all the apostasy which goes in the name of Christianity.

The Bible does not teach this one bit...the Bible teaches us apostasy will come and grow worse....and not judged until the end....Jesus is the righteous judge....John 5.22-23

Evidently you failed to read this (1 Pet 4:7): For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

I absolutely love that scripture in 1 Peter 4:17! Thank you for posting it!

The scripture in 1 Peter about judgment in the house of God must begin first is a beautiful promise of the sealing of God's people off before judgment comes.

1 Peter 4:17-18 (KJV)

[SUP]17 [/SUP] For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

[SUP]18 [/SUP] And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Peter was the apostle to the Hebrews and Peter being a good Jewish man would have heard this spoken off in the OT.

It is a hebraism ( expression ) from Ezekiel 9:4-6 in which they had set aside the jewish elders and marked them before judgment came.....these ones were saved from the judgment....

In other words we get protected/marked by the Spirit of God before judgment comes ..but judgment starts at the house of God first by us being "marked"...that's the sign that judgment is coming to the ungodly as 1 Peter 4:17-18 says.

It's awesome!! it's a beautiful picture of us being sealed by the Holy Spirit..

We have a good, good Father! and a mighty salvation in Jesus our Lord!

There's a scripture that says something like a man or an angel, not sure, marks Gods people. Is that what you are referring to? It's been a while since I've thought about that scripture, and I have no idea where it is.
