Perhaps all the greek meanings in the different passages have to be used to explain the mission of Jesus?

In Hebrew there are at least 4.

Agreed.

But what do you have against DECLARING, that works are necessary?

I know you won't agree with this, but they ARE necessary for CONTINUED salvation.

If we don't do good works, we have DEAD FAITH.
James 2:17
James 2:20
Galatians 5:13-15
Your right...I don't agree because the bible does not teach that.....Galatians is clear...faith PLUS WORKS = false gospel, no power, double cursed and all who buy into that are bewitched and fools....

Who is preaching that you should give up and not right to overcome sin, tear down spiritual strongholds?

This thread is how salvation is BY FAITH IN JESUS and NOT BY WORKS.

The foundation must be Jesus alone or you build upon shifting sand and not the Rock.

Why is that so hard to understand?
because the workers for and cake takers MUST interject themselves and their works...why...JESUS and his sacrifice is NOT good enough and his imputed righteousness is a neat little trick that does not work......

Simple....and they will make the plenteous in number on that fateful day.........

This is a translation of the Hebrew into English..

17

Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. (there is pleroo)

18

Yes, indeed! I tell you that until heaven and earth pass away, not so much as a yud or a stroke will pass from the Torah__ not until everything that must happen has happened.
(There is the life of the living Torah. The walking Law.)

please note, God says we are being sanctified, I just repeat what God says.

God also says we are declaired righteous, or perfect, because of what he did, not what I did, am doing, or will do.

Hebrews 10:14
For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Hebrews 10:10 also speaks of being Sanctified in the past tense and ONCE for ALL.....

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Sanctification seems to be dual in nature.....

Positionally in Christ forever Hebrews 10:10

Daily lives Hebrews 10:14 which is an ongoing process.......

We are positionally sanctified as well. That is imputed righteousness. The outward application of this positional sanctification can be progressive. If you say we're are progressively sanctified in terms of God 's view of us then our works take prominence over the work of Jesus already accomplished.
Amen dual in Nature.....

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10

and then 10:14 speaks to our ongoing daily sanctification in our lives....

We have to remember that Jesus is talking to the Jews...the sheep. Teaching what is demanded to be pure and Holy. Then to remember, only He is pure and Holy.

After His mission and He has resurrected...no one knows yet that this is for the whole world. Then comes Paul by revelation only. A space of time or like an interruption in the life of the Jewish nation. They are dispersed...the church comes into play. No laws needed when one is in and moving in Holy Spirit. Sons are born.

Now the Jews are returned and scripture picks them back up... The sheep have arrived on the scene.

The time of the ruling is in sight? What do you think? So...you are sheep under law? Following the shepherd or Sons ruling with Him.

We aren't physical Israel. We don't eat the strangled or the blood of animals. We eat and drink of the life of the Son.

Spiritual Israel. The Sons at rest in our humanity but working in the life of the Spirit.

do you think by doing works, God will give you more?

And again, Who is preaching against works? No one here that I have ever seen preaches against doing Gods will, and being obedient, the only people I see even claim this is your side when you judge us and say we preach against works. which is FALSE!
AMEN to that....they remind me of Jason007........or NOTinspiritandintruth.....and a few others.....we have consistently said that a believer will do the works and or bear fruit.....there is NOT one verse that states verbatim works save us....yet a multitude of verses that faith and faith alone saves us......

You just condemned yourself. Unless you are perfect. Because as deut 27 shows, Moses and God demanded perfect obedience to the law. And the only person who ever fulfilled that was Christ.

ps you also condemned moses, He could not do it either, nor could abraham, David (the murderer) etc etc..
Their working for sinless perfectionist dogma only applies unto us that believe in salvation by grace thru faith.....they themselves exceed the righteousness of Christ and have no need of his work on their behalf....they can save themselves....

that sux bro.. I feel for ya, Mine are going bad,, I could not imagine if I was alot younger..
It was hard for me.
Runied a potential professional football career (or soccer in the USA)

What sucked the most was a Christian told me that God did it cause I didn't go to church on a Sunday morning.
I did go on a Sunday evening though.

Carried that burden for a long long time.

If it worked out I could have been a millionaire living the lifestyle.

Do I live with regrets?
Actually I don't.

Romans 8:28-30

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

God worked good.

I have the most amazing wife who I love dearly. She is my soulmate.
We have 4 kids whom we love dearly and have bought them up. God entrusting us with his kids.
All 4 are beleivers and placed their faith in Jesus.

That is worth more than any riches and fame could offer.

Ive settled for that and I thank God every day for that.

That's not her picture at 70 I doubt she will post a recent one of herself online...you know she is just poking at you right?

I doubt she really cares a whit for her physical appearance, but I could be wrong on that,
Is it not deceptive to represent yourself as 45 when your 70? I mean...........just saying......
