Again, I'm new to this site as I just joined a few days ago, but I put up my first post yesterday. Do most people put their face picture on their profile or do they put some kind of generic picture that doesn't have their face on it? I'm just wondering what I should do. Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

One more thing, what is Trackback and what are Tags? They both appear as you are about to post.

I have my real picture on mine, to me it is okay for others to know what I look like. Others are more private, so they use other kinds of pics. The decision is yours...you have your reasons of why, or why nots. Hope this helps! I do know that pics have to be of modesty!

i put my face on my profile... and i update it

i come here for fellowship
and i kinda want to put it all out there so people know who they are talkin too


i dont think it matters much though
lol

you get more from people during the back and forth in the threads or pms
 
You can do whatever
I figured people would want to look at something more beautiful than my face so I put my harp and violin lol

It's anonymous, so most people choose not to.

I like having my puppy up as my picture
to show the whole world see's how cute he Is
even know someone thought he was a pig...lol
they are silly looking dogs but one of the best breeds you can get :o
 
You can put anything you want on your profile picture, and avatar. My avatar is of a blue ladybug :) and my profile pic is of an orange cat, because as you will quickly learn, I AM the crazy orange cat lady.. :o

Thank you Natania for your response. You have a great face! God has blessed you! I love the harp. I have a harp CD that I bought one time when I heard a harpist playing. The violin is beautiful. You'd probably get a kick out of hearing Jack Benny (he's before your time), a comedian of old and an avid violinist. God Bless!

Some people use a picture of themselves as their avatars, others use other pictures, and others have no avatar at all. I guess it's totally up to what you'd like to use.

I haven't investigated trackback or tags.
 
The tags are ,... well, tags ... :p

If you search the forum for threads, it can index not only thread titles, but tags as well.

So if you make a thread and call it "Jesus" , you could tag it "Saviour, salvation, lamb " etc, and make it more likely to appear in a search. (At least that is how a tag normally works)

Yes, the harp is such a beautiful instrument. It was my dream to be able to play it for the longest time and I have been blessed to get the opportunity.
