Post Scripture where Jesus Christ is on the throne right now in this Church Age? Future, yes. Now, no.
Even the testimony of the sign found in Revelation 12 states he was CAUGHT UP TO HIS THRONE....and it is obviously speaking of JESUS.....

What has happened in Deuteronomy 28 is God's own doing. Not simply because he removed his protection, but the horrors that take place are God's judgment. Not saying you, but there are some here who will outright reject this truth. He has a track record of using evil nations and evil people and evil creatures to accomplish his will, especially in judgment. This is how we know he is sovereign.

20 “The Lord will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in all that you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and perish quickly on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have forsaken me.

21 The Lord will make the pestilence stick to you until he has consumed you off the land that you are entering to take possession of it.

22 The Lord will strike you with wasting disease and with fever, inflammation and fiery heat, and with drought and with blight and with mildew. They shall pursue you until you perish.

24 The Lord will make the rain of your land powder. From heaven dust shall come down on you until you are destroyed.

25 “The Lord will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You shall go out one way against them and flee seven ways before them. And you shall be a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

27 The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt, and with tumors and scabs and itch, of which you cannot be healed.

28 The Lord will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of mind

35 The Lord will strike you on the knees and on the legs with grievous boils of which you cannot be healed, from the sole of your foot to the crown of your head.

36 “The Lord will bring you and your king whom you set over you to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known. And there you shall serve other gods of wood and stone.

37 And you shall become a horror, a proverb, and a byword among all the peoples where the Lord will lead you away.

48 therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger and thirst, in nakedness, and lacking everything. And he will put a yoke of iron on your neck until he has destroyed you.

49 The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, swooping down like the eagle, a nation whose language you do not understand

I agree that in the OT God's righteous judgment against unbelievers; i.e. those worshipping other gods or going against His will in anyway, was swift. God's righteous judgment comes upon those who rebel against him - so they receive their just punishment. God does not inflict judgment out of hatred but to confirm his word. Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? Ezekiel 33:11 God begs mankind to turn from their evil ways . . . If God is allowing Satan to make men evil or consenting to that evil being perpetrated - then isn't He doing evil so that good may come? But I can see God taking the evil perpetrated by man and Satan and turning it to fulfill his good intentions.

As far as Satan getting permission, Satan may not have to ask permission every time he afflicts someone, but he by no means is left unchecked to roam without interference/allowance from God. He can still only do what God allows (or permits) him to do. God could even use the devil as a judgment on those who reject him. God does give Satan permission in the book of Job though. He sets limits and tells him what he can and cannot do.
People are taking one instance in which Satan appears before God and says "IF you let me do this and this, I bet Job will curse you to your face." So God says okay - is the lesson being taught - God controls evil - or is the lesson being taught - let Job's faithfulness be your faithfulness when you suffer persecution and tribulation? Where was Satan before he went into the presence of God? roaming to and fro upon the face of the earth. Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary, the devil, walks about seeking whom he may devour. . . . so Satan walks about seeking whom he may devour but waiting on God to tell him what to do and whom to attack?
Here is an example of God using the evil will of a fallen creature to accomplish His good will and purpose.

Isaiah 10
5 Woe to Assyria, the rod of my anger;
the staff in their hands is my fury!
6 Against a godless nation I send him,
and against the people of my wrath I command him,
to take spoil and seize plunder,
and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
7 But he does not so intend,
and his heart does not so think;
but it is in his heart to destroy,
and to cut off nations not a few;

The evil Assyrian king was wielded in God's hands like a tool and later on God judges the king and his people for this act that God was in control of. How could that even be? Because in verse 7, it was already the will of the Assyrian to destroy and conquer, so God was still perfectly just in enacting judgment through him and his army. I know it's hard to grasp the fact that God can use the will of a fallen evil creature to accomplish an act that both the fallen creature and God both want to happen and God's will remain good, but the bible teaches this. This is what we mean by God is sovereign over evil but still does not commit evil.
If you are saying that the King of Assyria chose to be evil and God then in turn used the evil against Him for His good intent - then I would agree. But if you are saying that God allowed the evil to happen, then turned it for good - how is it that God is not totally responsible for the evil committed? He allowed it to happen. If God allows and controls evil then he is committing evil . . . A good end does not justify evil means. It would be the same to say, “We should do evil so that good will come.” Many people criticize us, saying that’s what we teach. They are wrong, and they should be condemned for saying that. REV Romans 3:8
And why not do evil that good may come?—as some people slanderously charge us with saying. Their condemnation is just. ESV Rom. 3:8

Why not say, “Let us sin that good will come from it.” (Some people have said I talk like this!) They will be punished as they should be. NLV Rom. 3:8
The same is true when looking at the crucifixion. The fallen creatures all gathered together to crucify Jesus. This was their will to do so. However, God had already predestined the event to happen at that exact time. The evil murderous wills of fallen man, the Romans, Pilate, and the Jews, but the perfect and holy will of God had already planned this out beforehand and his will was supreme. The very same event, two conflicting wills.

I dunno if this is the right term, but there is obviously some kind of supernatural compatibility between the will of the fallen creature and the will of God. His will always wins and is good, even if the creature's will is fallen and evil.

(I think this touched on everything you said in your post, I hope)
God's will concerning his Son and our subsequent salvation would have occurred no matter what . . . it was written - no matter who had to be the ones that killed him or should I say the ones whom Satan worked through to kill him - it was prophesied and therefore would be completed. God knew that salvation would occur through his Son's death but Satan did not know . . . . Satan did not know that all believer's would have "Christ in them the hope of glory"! Compatibility between the will of Satan and the will of God? . . . God hates all things about him and is in total opposition to his ways . . . why would he work with him?

If you mean all the kingdoms of darkness, then I would agree. However Jesus controls His kingdom, His church, the animal kingdom, plants, weather and most of the world

Satan and Evil has corrupted and tainted many things and their influence is present. However God is still in control and able to defeat any evil of this world.
And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give you, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. If you will therefore worship me, all shall be thine.

And of course we know what his response was . . . It is written . . .

This is an awesome post![/QUOTEThank you. I can't take credit for it though as it was Holy Spirit inspired. My soul grieves as "my" JESUS, THE PRESENT REIGNING KING, is disrespected and disregarded as lesser than Who He IS, WAS, AND ALWAYS WILL BE. God uses the simple to confound the proud. ~~~ "Isaiah 44:25 I am the Lord Who frustrates the signs and confounds the omens upon which the false prophets' forecasts of the future are based of the boasting liars and makes fools of diviners, Who turns the wise backward and makes their knowledge foolishness".

Satan is a liar. The Bible clearly tells us that Satan is a liar. Why are people surprised that Satan would lie?

we know God has given Jesus all the kingdoms of the world. That God raises and throws down rulers.

I was thinking about your questions Peacefulbeliever and trying figure out a way to explain my thoughts.

Not sure if it makes sense to anyone but me but perhaps the Holy spirit will give us all aid in communication and wisdom to speak for His glory.

I was thinking of ISIS and the conversation why we don't just bomb the whole country or what we should do?

The main reason is that we don't want innocents killed in the crossfire.

This Earth is a battlefield. God has sent His prophets to warn people and have them turn from the lies to His truth.

Terrorist use brainwashed child soldiers and suicide bombers.

God allowing certain things to happen doesn't mean He approves of it. It means He has a plan to save all His children and show without a doubt the difference between His children and the rebels.

Does that make any sense to you PB?

Seated at God’s Right Hand | Reformed Bible Studies & Devotionals at Ligonier.org

God’s right hand is the place of “highest favor with God the Father” (WLC, Q&A 54), and the phrase is used throughout Scripture to indicate His power and sovereignty (Ex. 15:6; Isa. 48:13). To say that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father is to say, as John Calvin explains, that “Christ was invested with lordship over heaven and earth, and solemnly entered into possession of the government committed to him — and that he not only entered into possession once for all, but continues in it, until he shall come down on Judgment Day” (Institutes 2.16.15).

In sitting at the right hand of God, Jesus sits on the “throne of his father David” (Luke 1:26–33). He is the Messiah of Israel, “the highest of the kings of the earth” and the fulfillment of the Lord’s promise to keep the offspring of David on the throne forever. (Ps. 89:19–37). We are not waiting for Jesus to enter into His messianic reign, He enjoys it now. All of His enemies are being put under His feet as His gospel is preached and His kingdom expands (1 Cor. 15:20–28).

Were all the temptations a lie or just this one? and How do we know that this temptation is a lie?

John 12:30,31 Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

John 14:29,30 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, you might believe. Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.

John 16:8,10,11 and when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of righteousness, because I go to my Father and you will see me no more; of judgment; because the prince of this world is judged.

2 Cor. 4:4 Satan is called the god of this world . . . . 1 John 5:19 says the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

Thank you Ariel . . .

Let me ask you a question: If you allow/permit your child to run and play in the street - haven't you given your approval for that action?

Terrorist use brainwashed child soldiers and suicide bombers to exact their purposes . . . so are you using that as an example of how God uses evil to exact his purposes? The devil has purposes that are in exact opposition to God's purpose . . . the devil uses the characteristics he possesses to exact his purposes - He is a liar and a murderer from the beginning, he is deceitful, he is all things that are ungodly. God uses the characteristics he possesses to exact his purposes, mercy, grace, love, patience, kindness and yes, righteous judgment, there is no darkness in him at all. They are as totally opposite as anything can be.

I just want to set the record straight that I am in no way glorifying the devil. I love God with all my heart . . .
that doesn't change the truth that there are two spiritual forces working - one evil, one good and holy. I am not saying that the devil is bigger than God - or that God can't stop him but in God's justice, even toward Satan, when he threw him out of heaven and cursed the ground - Satan gained ownership and dominion over the world and has power and control in the world we live in, albeit temporary.

Honestly, I am just really having trouble grasping this concept that God and Satan work together . . . God permits Satan to do evil so that He in turn can fix it . . . what kind of logic is that?

No that isn't what I am saying at all.

I am saying that Satan has taken over this world the same way that ISIS toke over SYRIA.

That God sent His prophets and finally Son on a rescue mission to get out the innocents before God sends in the bombers.

As the Church we are God's covert ops agents in a terrorist controlled world. The world belongs to Jesus. He is King but the mob bosses have a lot of people on payroll. Corruption runs deep in this world but we know Jesus is still in control because people still pretend to be just and righteous.

We don't approve of child sacrifices or slavery or temple prositutes or cannibalism. Before Jesus came, demons had folks doing those practices as part of their pagan worship and may lead them to doing it again if they had control of this world.

There is still evil in the world - as sons and daughters of God - we can rise above all the evil and not participate in the things of the world although we have to live hear until Christ calls us home. We can be victorious because greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world.

Before Jesus came demons had folks doing those practices as part of their pagan worship . . . there are still people doing those practices as part of their pagan worship . . . look around there is still evil in the world. There are people murdering, stealing, committing adultery, coveting, getting angry, children turning against parents, parents against their own children, committing adultery, practicing witchcraft, etc.

We know Jesus is in control because people still pretend to be just and righteous . . . Yea there are a lot of people pretending to be just and righteous! Christ is going to clean up this ole world we are living in and "
the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. (Rom. 8:21-23 NASB)

Everything Satan says has a lie or twist in his words to distort what God means. We can examine each temptation later.

For now I want to draw your attention to this verse,
John 10:34 ►
New International Version
Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are "gods"'?

New Living Translation
Jesus replied, "It is written in your own Scriptures that God said to certain leaders of the people, 'I say, you are gods!'

English Standard Version
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I said, you are gods’?

Berean Study Bible
Jesus replied, "Is it not written in your Law: 'I have said you are gods' ?

Berean Literal Bible
Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law: 'I said you are gods'?

New American Standard Bible

King James Bible
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

1 Corinthians 8
4Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.” 5For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— 6yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist

Maybe it would help if you would expound on how you believe these fit?

John 10:34 is a quote from Psalm 82:6 . . . the context speaking of God being the one who judges among the "gods"; they were doing a lousy job - judging unjustly, accepting the wicked, etc. but they would all die like men . . .

1 Cor. 8:4 . . . context is touching things offered unto idols . . . meat does not commend us to God but let us not offend the weak brother . .
