When we listen to men and do not know THE LORD for ourselves, we run the risk of not being able to discern "yeast" from THE PURE UNADULTERATED WORD AND TRUTH of GOD...

But, you, right here, say they were supposed to only listen to Paul..... not what they thought they already knew from years and years of studying and living the Scriptures. You see, Paul was just another man preaching at them. None of the disciples were anywhere near as respected as their teachers. They did not have a leather-bound book like we have, telling the who the good guys were, and who the bad guys were.

We get terribly confused by grabbing pat phrases like, "walk with Jesus"...... when saying that very thing to the people He preached to, would have meant absolutely nothing in their religion. I get flabbergasted that we seem so unable to understand that these were devout people who did their best to listen to and follow what they thought was the word of the Lord.

Today, we should know better because we have the Bible they never had.... but still we try to go back to Law as they also thought was proper and Godly.

You are doing fine....but generally it is very hard to reach agreement with trad christians who seem to reject the commandments/law of God...the law being ...Love God and neighbour !

I know which is why Paul said FOLLOW ME as I FOLLOW CHRIST...

No one should be following Paul...But Paul as the overseer of the BODY which CHRIST so powerfully at work in him directed by HIS SPIRIT was not wanting men to follow him...that was clear when he had to remind another baby believing BODY which he never stayed with forever that who is Paul, who is Cephas, who is Apollos...

But they were babies and highly influenced. So, when Paul was away from the BODY...lies swept in and these were clearly not fully IN CHRIST to begin with...Paul always prayed that GOD would give these babies the SPIRIT of wisdom and knowledge that they might BETTER UNDERSTAND the MAGNITUDE of THEIR GREAT SALVATION in CHRIST...but men came in while Paul was gone and offered other ways...


Further, as Paul understood and was clearly trying to teach these babes, No man can be baptized into a man no matter how great their understanding is...Paul, Cephas or Apollos did NOT die for them...and Paul, Cephas, or Apollos will not live forever to lead them, nor will they be pouring out their spirit upon them...

All must believe and follow THE LORD...and those who do, are baptized into HIM and risen IN HIM by HIS LIFE GIVING, LIFE LEADING SPIRIT.


Which is what each of these baby believing BODY should have FIRSTLY understood.
And the fact that they went outside of THE TRUTH clearly showed that they didn't understand who they are IN CHRIST JESUS and HIM ALONE!

You must know that Jesus brought NEW teaching to keep the Fathers commandments and stoning is definitely OUT. Aren't you mixing the law of Moses with Gods commandments ?

Who rejects the LAW of LOVE?
Do you know this by truth and fact?
Or, are you just suggesting that those who will not exalt the flesh are rejecting GOD's command to love GOD and one another?

THE BRIDEGROOM took back HIS BRIDE to present to HIS FATHER as spotless...

I can hardly believe you typed that. Where did you get the idea that Moses' laws were not God's commands?

be careful though.. We can not live up to Gods commands,, He demands perfection. But yes, we are to obey,

Anyone who commits one sin, no matter how small, is considered by the law to be lawless.

Who is rejecting them?

The ones who follow them the way Christ told us to (the law of loving all men no matter what and God, in this you will fullfill the law)

or the ones who are saying obedience to the law will save you, maintian your salvation or keep you from losing it?

Actually the second group is rejecting the law. Paul said clearly, the law was given to keep us guard until faith came, to prove to us that we all have sinned and fall short. To bring us to our knees like the tax collector. and cry out in the name of Jesus to be saved, because with his heart he believes unto righteousness.

They want to sound christlike boasting of how righteous they are, because they follow the law. while judging the sinner, because he refuses to believe he can fulfill the law (which the bible states is correct)

Oh my friend you are right, He won't need to. He will be there to help you back o your feet, and until you are, He will just pick you up and carry you. He will never leave you or forsake you.

I don't think you will find me ever saying the Law will save you. As of yet, I don't think I have seen anyone say that. Well other than you.

I thought he had said let those without sin cast the first stone???

And let's be honest here when people hear of laws, they tend to break them. But once your shown, it's possible to not break them, then you no longer have any excuses. For example, "A man cannot un-see the truth."

If I may, when you do get to the Laws, read a chapter over at lest 2 times. Going to fast can lead to following some things that are not intended for Gentiles. Out of the full 613, there are around 25 that will apply to you. If that, I just rounded it off, there really are less.

Perhaps a little more clarification on my part...
we have the 10 spoken by GOD personally to the people assembled Ex 20v1- 19; Deut 5v22; and God added no more...because they refused to hear Him anymore. These are spiritual and eternal, holy just and good Rom 7.
then we have the commandments contained in ordinances/works given only through Moses (not the assembled people) and abolished by Jesus on the cross Eph 2v15, Col 2v14.
Then we have Lev 10v10, and that you may 'put difference between holy and unholy...

Of all the Hebrew people, only 2 were allowed to enter the land.
Num 14:30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

The reason was that they rebelled, and would not do as they were told. enter the land and take possession of it. Caleb and Joshua on the other hand tried to get them to go in.

I may have missed it, but all I ever saw in any of that was Moses telling the people what God said.... not God speaking directly to the people.
