He has stated before that our forgiveness is based upon Christ shed blood.

Pretty sure he believe in the Holy spirit convicting people of their sins....

Maybe Fran has a point.., the atmosphere in this thread has become quite hostile.

Perhaps everyone could take a moment and pray?

He will make the carnal intellectual comment that confessing our sin is not needed to be forgiven....to spin away the immature comment.

Help us out and clarify...

Are you just being an arrogant prideful baby christian saying cool stuff...
or
Are you saying the Holy Spirit ministry of convicting you is not for you today?
or
Are you saying you have no need to confession because you are perfect and sinless and your past, current and fture sins are already forgiven so confession is not for you...
or
Are you such a sinner that you have trouble with SIN and just cannot help yourself....
are you trying to be funny?

Who is the arrogant one here, I asked a question actually a few, and all you can do is attack,

i bet bet your proud of it to aren't you?

Maybe I read it differently but I took it to mean that we don't sit down and make a list of sins to ask God to forgive us because some we might not even be aware of as a sin.

Personally I believe it is good to set aside time each day to pray and ask God what we need to repent of and learn from Him in a quiet place in prayer. Tell God what we did and ask Him what we need to change.

But I wouldn't be legalistic about it. I would trust God to stop me in my tracks if I sinned and chastens me.

If God convicts of sin, we should repent.

That is just common sense.

However we should not be so worried or fearful of not repenting every sin we ever commiited. It can become a legalistic chain, like the Sabbath keepers.

What is meant for freedom and rest, can be twisted to enslave and oppress.

Yeah an answer!!:)

Okay what happens after we choose to be saved, that is accept that Jesus is our propitiation and believe in Him as a personal saviour.

What comes next after belief?

Trying to understand your theology as I have met many witnessing on the streets in Toronto who preach the same message.

Undergrace,

Just as we choose to be saved and believe in Jesus,
We can choose to leave.
We do not lose free will once we are saved.
I'm not saying one just decides to leave. Something has to happen to cause this.

God wants our love.
Love must be freely given.
God does not force us to stay with him.
Did He force you to get saved?
Same thing.

Confessing your sins is the only way you will be cleansed of your sin by God. A person don't always have to say I confess my sins, but they say things pertaining to confession like. I give up God, I can't do it God, and other sayings. But you have to be talking to God. My confession was , I can't do it Lord, I've tried. I could not clean up my own life. A few days later I heard his voice and recognized him and accepted him, and in an instant I was cleansed and I knew it.

I actually do not find it hostile, fervent maybe, but that is okay, these are important topics, we not talking about simple matters like who makes the best ketchup. :)

There have been way more hostile threads than this, I was thinking we were actually doing a pretty good job staying civil.

Goodness you just contradicted yourself again and you do it all the time...First you said it is impossible to confess all your sins, because you cannot remember them all, now you would have us all believe you had a breakthrough confession session in small group....which one is it!?!?!?

Nope I do not believe that at all...The Holy Spirit reminds me when I miss the mark, are you claiming this is not his ministry...are you saying he does not do that for you?.....you certainly seem to imply it.....if you think this, you are going against the word...

Did you see the answer to your question if not sharing the Gospel was Biblical?
