Sooo, you do woodworking? You put tiny pieces of wood into other wood? What's that called? (Hubby wanted to do that when he was younger, but never did. Closest we got was stained-glass, which seems to me a precursor to doing that, but you didn't think so.) So, come on -- s'plain what you do?
And the bear and the feathers? Still wood? Looks like shiny slate, but I don't know if you can do it with slate, if slate can get polished, or... basically? S'plain it to me, cuz it's cool!
(And I see your drawings as an extension of that.)

Me too! He's always lopsided tho...... Seriously tho, any one with talent to make art is fascinating to me.. I can't begin to understand how someone can see something in the mind and replicate it out here... It's an extraordinary thing
My wood burning, I do some plain, and others colored. Have not inlaid wood before, my colors come from using food dyes and paint. I like food dyes, as the wood grain shows through, which to me is beautiful. The glass...I draw picture on any glass, than use dremmel to etch. Done paint stain glass, but not authentic way. Done wood carvings too, oil paintings too. I also love crocheting!

Anything of woods should burn, some easier than others according to if soft wood, or hard. Mine are with oak,and birch. I use a cheap Walmart wood burner. For first timers, I suggest drawing picture on wood lightly with pencil, just in case you mess up, it will be easy to remove with slightly damp cloth. Once you do the burn pic, you can add color. Would suggest practicing on throw away wood, don't want to ruin something nice. I like doing it on discard furniture, than resale it!

Do you know if people do it as a small business?
If not you should! That would be awesome!
Also, learn your grain direction...with grain, light pressure. Against grain, more pressure or go over it again.
