Revelation 9:6

“And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”

flee from immortality of the flesh

There won't be a 2045.
They've been teaching that same garbage for over 100 years now. (Always the world will end before you pay off your mortgage. Years change, that's all.)

Reality check. Assume you will see the year 2100, unless otherwise notified. (And no memo will ever come. Either you live or you die.) Sure beats waiting around for doom and gloom!

The 120 years references how much time man had left to repent before God flooded the Earth.
I thought that was roughly how long life-expectancy ought to be. It worked out about right for Abraham and Moses. It dwindled considerably from the Roman Empire clear through to recently, but most of the societies were doing dumb things. (Drinking from lead cups. Eating and drinking contaminated water, crops, and meat. Eating raw or not-cooked-enough meat.) I thought that was God telling Man to reset their thinking. Gone are the days when Man lived 700-900+ years. Now only 120 years.

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

[SUP]2 [/SUP]A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
[SUP]3 [/SUP]A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
[SUP]4 [/SUP]A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
[SUP]5 [/SUP]A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
[SUP]7 [/SUP]A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
[SUP]8 [/SUP]A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:3-8.

Personally, I don't think we'll get to immortality (verse 2). But even if we did, I would still stand by God and His word. :)
We get beyond mortality when we die and then spend eternity glorifying God in the new bods.

I agree. Life isn't THAT great. Or at least here on Earth it's not.

Question, do you think they will succeed in 2045? Will it become impossible to kill bad guys anymore? They even want to disprove religion! Including Christianity! Do you think this will happen?

1. just because medical science claims to be able to make us immortal in the future dopsen't mean it will be impossible to "kill badguys"

2. it is biblicaly unsound, for it is written
[h=1]Genesis 6:3New King James Version (NKJV)[/h][FONT=&quot]3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

3. research "transhumanism" (
the belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, especially by means of science and technology.)

4. No, I don't believe it will ever happen, but if it were to happen, it would surely be to those post rapture individuals that still reject the salvation of god and choose to follow the ways of the evil one.

Death entered the world because of sin. We will have immortality when Y-shua returns then there will be no more sin. No reason to wonder the what if the Bible already tells us and that settles it... What the Bible says not man. No matter how man learns to manipulate the human genome if there is is there is death. They are fighting the wrong battle....
