To be honest, a normal person rarely ever needs to carry. I'm a little worried about all the trigger happy people flooding the streets these days, and I think too many amateurs are handling guns they really don't know how to handle. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of the 2nd Amendment, but people really should learn how to operate their guns.

Yes... absolutely. If a person is not willing to put in a lot of range time, preferably with professional training, they should not carry a gun. And, just learning how to use a gun is not enough. There needs to be training in when, and when NOT to use lethal force.
 
I'm 54 soon to be 55, single and looking, never married, no kids. I have Type 1 Diabetes. I have my own house. Love to read, write, tinkering and playing cards. Live in the fly over state of South Dakota.

Click your name at the top right hand/center of the page, which takes you to your member profile page. Under your member picture are some links, where you will see one for blogs, just above likes given and received. Click that :) http://christianchat.com/blog_post.php?do=newblog

we much bigger and badder than texas.....all you got going for you is romance and woulda,coulda,shoulda.

Where's that wall at man?
 
Ok out of topic, but tell me more about Texas and where about in Texas. I have been living in several different countries and lately Texas has been in my mind. Not even sure why but I feel like it is time to move again and Texas is definitely an option
 
Hey joefizz, personally I think this is a good idea. I am 62 years old, newly retired and trying to start a new phase in my life. Your invitation for new comers is a perfect way to get someone "who does not know what they are doing" involved. Blogging and forums are totally strange to me and honestly a little intimidating. I am divorced, live alone and love it (at this time). Two children 38 and 40 who have families of their own. I am truly blessed. A total of 5 grandchildren. God has been so good to me even though I have totally made choices not in His will. I continue to find it amazing how He can work things for His good even though we tend to do everything in our power to mess things up. Thank you for this invitation.

Yeah it can get confusing,a few times I posted on blogs instead of in the forums by accident lol!

One of the things on my bucket list is to see the Northern Lights. Living in South Dakota a guy doesn't get a chance very often. What is a good time of year to go for them?
