Hey MMD,

Need we say silly things?
I'm sorry, but your Whole thread is kind of silly.

Do you know Christ or not???
Then why do you say such stuff???

Here's what I'd like to see...

YOU admit that works are a necessary component to being Christian, instead of explaining WHY
you do these good works --- as if they weren't REALLY necessary.

Are you a friend of Jesus?
Then you MUST follow His commandments.
John...
I don't hear anyone else calling my post silly. What's silly about it? Yes, I do know Christ (John 17:3). Many people know "about" Him but they don't truly know Him because they don't truly BELIEVE. If you are a genuine Christian then it's not about must do good works but WILL do good works. Genuine believers are a friend of Jesus and doing what He commands is the demonstrative evidence of that. Everything with you is MUST or else! Obedience is not forced or legalistic for genuine believers. If you have truly placed your faith (belief, trust, reliance) in Christ alone for salvation, then why do you have so much faith in works for salvation?

I am saying... I know where my rescue is ...it is Jesus, He is the living water, a place of abundant grace, the true vine.

When we abide in Him, apply the good news truths, that the work of the cross is a finished and complete work it gives us victory, and we place our eyes on Him, the fruit just grows naturally and without effort.

Be blessed JIMBO this is the good news.
All the hurts and pains of yesterday are also nailed to the cross too!

NINE PRACTICAL STEPS TO LIVING IN VICTORY | GRACE-LOVE-TRUTH MINISTRIES

If you fear God from time to time your not saved in my book coz if your going to say you never sin then that is what you might as well be saying..

coz when i get tempted to sin i fear the lord ........

ARE YOU SAYING YOU NEVER GET TEMPTED...COZ EVIDENTLY YOUR SAYING THAT YOU DONT FEAR THE LORD NEVER

I am saying that if I am tempted and do sin, then I have fallen from abiding in Christ, and moved back into my own self-effort rather than living in His victory....so I need to do an about face and go back to fixing my eyes on Him remembering the victory is His, it is about constantly believing correctly on the finished work of the cross.

This is the spiritual life hid in Christ.. and I am not saying it is easy to do, it can be difficult because our nature is towards self-effort and legalism ...but it is the only place to have victory over sin.

2Co. 10:3-5 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

I didnt miss anything sister i know Jesus will love is sheep.. however sister that doesnt stop you being tempted into sin..

are you still staying you never get tempted then we can move on

Works are NOT to be done for the purpose of gaining or keeping salvation.

Works ARE to be done in order to fulfill God's commandment to love others.

Since you are now perfect and are a little Jesus running around claiming you do not sin, I have to set you straight on something....Sinners are in fact turned into sin-forgiven saints, that will still sin. The old man died with Christ and we are transformed into his image day by day...Sin has no power over us, but we will never totally overcome sin...

Since you are not truly prefect in soul and flesh, you are not filled with the Spirit, but of the spirit of antichrist...your pride in your obedience and your own power has exalted itself over the Jesus that was probably once in you...any spirit that exalts itself over Christ Jesus is a spirit of antichrist....

Now I would recommend you tone it down a notch and come back to your first love, which is not the fact you are clean, but to the one who made you clean...

There is no Fruit in the spirit in you, because your words are flesh and they profit nothing, only word the Spirit can give life and his words are life and Spirit.

I would take that judgemental spirit and use it as a mirror...
Touche........and I agree!

Good stuff, yep, yep...did you ever think about this as well....

They had lamb in the house.....and they had the lamb in them.....the shed blood on the door posts forgave and delivered them and the lamb in them, brought them into newness of life....they had to eat the lamb with their sandals on, their staff in their hand sand packed and ready to go...it is the Passover...
I like this perception....!

Right, just like I am free to say I did not ask you. What names did I call you???

You say the us and them mentality saddens your soul but you have your own breakdowns of us and them, I have seen it, so get sad all you want, defend the liars and pretenders all you want, pretend they do not do the same things over and over again and then act innocent or pretend it does not exist when their blatant lies are pointed out to them, where their exegetical errors are made clear to them, nothing changes them, they are hell bent on trying to destroying God's elect, they work for Satan, us and them, hmm, yeah, I stand with those on the side of God, there is a decided division, pick your side carefully, or pretend there are no sides, if you prefer.
Gotta reply to this one.

Mind telling me how God's elect can be destroyed at all by your doctrinal standards?

You know, once you accept Christ, it's over & done with. Just how exactly can "we" destroy what all of you claim can't be?

I'm on pins & needles waiting for this answer.;)
