I honestly do do not know why anyon engages hem anymore, all they want to do is divide and attack, and get a response, look what they have done again, they have Ariel and M arguing, they are manipulators of the worse kind
Now you lying & accusing me of something else I didn't do.

They didn't need my help.

Another good example of narcissistic deflection.

At least now she's the same all the time.

I guess she's down to the "true colors" layer.:)
No those aren't her "true colors" neither is baiting yours.

Maybe one day God's light will be unflitered by the flesh.

It takes two to argue and I step down out of it.

Sorry Magenta for attempting to make peace between you and Stephen. I realize now, only God can do anything with this situation.

When you're honest, you don't have to worry about getting caught.

When you're honest, you won't have a "crash & burn" where malfunctions in acting a part expose lies covered up.

This thread would be a lot shorter if folks would simply have come clean instead of playing the blame game.

This all started with your accusation against me.
No, it started before that, with your attitude. You still have it. Like pretending you have the right to make observations and ask questions but when others do they are being confrontational. I realize you will make excuses for yourself and pretend you are different but it dos not change the facts.

Don't try and turn the tables and act the victim.
Haha okay you play the victim. You're good at it.

I have asked you if Stephen is not part of the "they" you refer to in this post.
.then who is the THEY you accuse me of defending?
The people you defend. Do you not even know who they are? No, I do not mean all of them. Is there anyone you don't defend? Oh, besides me. Me you attack and falsely accuse and then pretend I owe others apologies when they attack and falsely accuse me of things I did not do. Telling you the truth upset you and make you want to blame me by pretending I am playing the victim. You behavior is detestable and you accuse me again because I point it out to you. You have no idea.

FranC, Peterjens, Jimbo?
That is much closer, though not a bulls eye. Instead of falsely accusing and then demanding I answer you, perhaps you could acknowledge that apologizing or at least admitting to me that you were mistaken would have gone a long way to helping me be amenable to answering your unreasonable demands. Instead you apologized to the person who inserted himself into a scenario and then pretends others are to blame for what he did, while you pile more false accusations onto me... and pretend you haven't. Are you done yet?

Those are the only ones I have bothered to say "wait a second, I think they too are beloved children of God. I don't believe them minions of Satan, even though I disagree with their doctrines. I believe we should pray for them and maybe with civilized conversation we can shine God's light and truth into their hearts about this topic. I believe if we humbly pray and seek God together His truth will prevail. I believe that God is stronger and able to reach any heart and that He hears our prayers."

You can keep attacking.
Well, I see myself more as defending against your attacks, while you falsely accuse me repeatedly and pretend you have not, as you pretend innocence and elevate yourself above others for the very same things you do. Your double standard is duly noted. I am sorry you don't like having it pointed out to you.

Salvation is a gift given....it is not a reward for service....after salvation, which is freely given, one is rewarded for faithful service...

is seems as if you were saying salvation was earned as a reward.....!
Yes earned by Christ freely given to us as His reward of umerrited grace on his behalf He is the one that payes the wages

You can see that worked out in the parable in Mathrew 20 where the reward equaling salvation is a penny. the same reward every man received.

Wow, is that really how you attempt to make peace? I am sorry but after everything you said and the attitude you displayed I cannot believe you. Or Stephen for that matter, really. He inserted himself into what I said and acted as if I was talking about him when I was not, but if he saw himself then the shoe must have fit; he certainly put it on and tromped around in it.

There was another thread a little while ago where some member came in and started throwing all kinds of false accusations and lies around and then made excuses and tried to justify what they had done, and strong arm me into accepting their excuses for their reprehensible behavior as if the rationalizations and outraged demands presented were some kind of apology that I as a Christian was somehow required to accept. But you know, accepting what they said as an apology would be dishonest. They had not offered an apology any more than Stephen has offered any kind of apology to me for inserting himself and repeatedly pretending I said something I did not.

How did I "insert myself" into this convo of yours when at the time, I was the only one of the other group posting?

Besides, whether I did or not, you still claimed others were trying to destroy the righteous, something according to YOUR doctrine can't be done!

I just called it out on the carpet..... the rest is your fault.

What you "called on the carpet" was something I did not even say and you keep pretending otherwise. I made a post to somebody else about other people and you jumped in and included yourself and now you keep trying to pin that on me, but that is dishonest of you Stephen. I was not talking to you and I was not talking about you, YOU inserted yourself and YOU need to take responsibility for that, but I doubt you will.

I could be wrong about inserting myself. I can admit it when I'm wrong. It's entirely possible.

Still, though, You insist you never said this, nor admit to it at all.

Right, just like I am free to say I did not ask you. What names did I call you???

You say the us and them mentality saddens your soul but you have your own breakdowns of us and them, I have seen it, so get sad all you want,1 defend the liars and pretenders all you want, pretend they do not do the same things over and over again and then act innocent or pretend it does not exist when 2 their blatant lies are pointed out to them, where their exegetical errors are made clear to them, nothing changes them, 3 they are hell bent on trying to destroying God's elect, 4 they work for Satan, us and them, hmm, yeah, I stand with those on the side of God, there is a decided division, pick your side carefully, or pretend there are no sides, if you prefer.
I would just come clean, cause it's only gonna get worse.

I found this at Apostasy | Reformed Bible Studies & Devotionals at Ligonier.org

Apostasy is the sad reality that can cause difficulties for the doctrine of perseverance. We all know people who have fallen away after making a profession of faith and, at least from what we can see, have never returned to the fold.

This falling away from the faith is the very definition of apostasy, and it has been a problem for ages. For example, we have already considered Hymenaeus and Alexander, two men who made shipwreck of their faith during apostolic times (1 Tim. 1:18–20).

Clearly, it is possible for professing Christians to abandon the Lord. Determining whether faith-possessing Christians can commit final apostasy, however, requires that we answer two questions.

First, is the falling away temporary or final? Someone who appears to have denied Jesus has not necessarily fallen permanently. Just as we all know people who apparently never returned to Christ, all of us have also known people who were restored to faith after falling away for a season. Peter is perhaps the best-known New Testament example of this phenomenon (John 18:15–27; 21:15–19). When we look at the Old Testament, we see that it was many months before David repented over his sins of murder and adultery (2 Sam. 11:1–12:15a). Both individuals demonstrate how a person who seems to have fallen away may not have actually become an apostate.

Second, is the person who seems to have fallen permanently someone who possessed faith or someone who only professed faith? Remember that many people claim to be saved without really being one of the Lord’s people. Several New Testament passages indicate that those persons who commit final apostasy professed faith without possessing it. First John 2:19 is clear that members of God’s family do not fall away permanently.

These questions should remind us of our limitations. Only God can truly see the heart. Some people profess faith falsely. Others who seem to have fallen away will eventually be restored. At Jesus’ return there will likely be some surprises when we see who really trusted Him and who did not (Matt. 7:21–23).

continued.....

Since we cannot see the hearts of others, we cannot assume that those who now repudiate the faith they once professed have actually left the fold permanently. This means that we should pray for those who appear to be apostate, asking the Lord to work in their hearts and bring them back to Himself. Consider today those in your life who seem to have repudiated Jesus and pray that they would yet return to the faith they once professed.

At work we have a certain people who stir the pot, then when things get good and hot they like to come in and be the peacemaker. It took me a while to really see what was happening,

We have the prickly type at work too but at least
there is no mistaking who they are.

At work I stay away from both because I have learned I become just like them.
