Was at Central Park for the "happening".
Simon and Garfunkel.
500,000 in attendance.
I THINK they were on stage. I could HEAR them!!
Can't remem

1981
Professor Google knows everything !
Every once in a while that Simon and Garfunkel comes on PBS and I watch it again.
It's a classic no doubt and they were not totally enamored with each other at that
point but it didn't show in the concert. I could have added Eagles to that group
especially their circa late eighties concert which was great imo which I also still
watch if I can find it online. Great OP and thanks. :D

P.S.
You're not old yet...[/QUOTE

Smiles...you're right, I don't live my life by numbers.
When I need to do something like climb trees to prune
branches, friends say I shouldn't be doing that. I say
why not.

If you could see any band in concert, which would you choose?
Limit to four... (in their prime, of course)

I'll start:

U2
Queen
Kid Creole
Santana
The Fab Four/The Beatles. (John, Paul, George and Ringo. No Pete or Stu.)
Pink Floyd.
Simon and Garfunkel.
And a Crossroads concert that Eric Clapton puts on. (Sort of a band, since two or more great guitarist always play together.)

Eat your heart out. I heard U2 through my bathroom skylight a couple of weeks ago. (Whenever there is a concert in one of our sports stadiums, the music is always loud enough to hear it in my house. A few years ago, Bruce Springsteen serenaded me while taking a shower. (Really loud, since we're a mile from the stadium, the window was closed, and the shower was on, yet, I could hear the words.)

You heard the entire Joshua Tree Album from start to finish.

It's the 30th Anniversary of that album.
(Did I say 30??)

So what they're doing for this concert is playing the Whole album. I don't believe this was ever done before. They're Always doing something new.

Anyway, yeah, send me your address for future concerts!!
LOL
